I worked as an attorney at Buckeye Law Group, where I gained valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment. The firm focuses on personal injury and I was able to handle a variety of injury cases that helped sharpen both my litigation and client management skills.

The firm’s leadership is results-driven, with a strong focus on performance and client advocacy. Attorneys are expected to be self-motivated and take ownership of their caseloads, which fosters independence and practical growth. There is a clear emphasis on delivering efficient, client-centered legal services.

The work culture is professional and high-energy. Colleagues are generally supportive, and collaboration is encouraged, though the environment can be demanding depending on caseload volume. Work-life balance may vary depending on department or role, but it’s typical of large sized litigation firms—busy, yet manageable with good time management.

Buckeye Law Group offers solid opportunities for attorneys looking to develop courtroom experience, refine their legal skills, and take on meaningful responsibilities early in their careers. For attorneys who thrive in a fast-moving, performance-focused setting, this firm can be a good fit.

Unless they've totally changed in under a year, the rash of 'great place' reviews were most likely 'strongly encouraged' by the revolving door of management with a side of a $50 Visa gift card (most of the recent ones are all dated the same date). The management pit workers against themselves, offering 'prizes' for whomever called the most people (THAT always took precedent over working the files), for who had the most settlements, etc. It set a very combative, almost toxic, work environment with people providing shoddy work, incorrect work &  almost sabotage between even team members to get the gift card. They are looking for salespeople who spend MORE time trying to sign people up than even determining if there is a case, often signing up people whose statute already passed, who were at fault for the accident, etc., wasting time & resources weeding them out. The workload was completely unrealistic. It often led to submitting packets that were incomplete, incorrect, not reviewed before being submitted - all to make the numbers required on their reports. In short, this place is the definition of every 'ambulance chasing' attorney joke there is.  

I leave my apartment in downtown Cleveland, start walking to the office and less than 10 minutes later I am in my chair in the Buckeye Cleveland office suite high on the 15th floor of the Key Tower building on public square.  The office environment is first class and top rate.  Great view of the Lake!  The tech and staff support is exceptional.  I confer with my team personnel, and we make our plan of the day at 8am.  I have a large portfolio of personal injury lawsuits to resolve in my clients' favor.  I attend court, lead my clients through pre-trial litigation, try to burnish the curb/settlement appeal of each case, and engage opposing counsel and adjusters in winning settlement negotiations.  Keeping up with the caseload and matching the productivity of my co-workers is the hardest part of the job.  Representing the common taxpayers of Ohio in Court is the best part of the job. 

While there I meet wonderful people.  However, both the owner and managing attorney are the most greedy, self righteous people I've ever met in my life. Work sits for months without sent. Client phone calls are not returned.  Staff is often met with angry client calls and being called out of your name.  The managing attorney thought it was funny.  I sincerely regret the day I set foot in the office. I've never worked for a company that lacked professionalism, ethics, morals and a genuine concerns for its clients and employees. 

Since I started Interning here, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of personal injury law. Daily tasks include reviewing medical records requests and distributing them properly, drafting reports on personal injury cases, and communicating with other professionals to gain information helpful to the cases in question. The management team has been a great resource to me as someone who knew little about personal Injury law before starting here, and have helped me gain a better understanding of the day to day operations of the firm. 

There are so many perks to working here. You’re continuously surrounded by friendly and welcoming staff who are always there to help you out anyway they can. They continue to grow and while watching it grow you realize you are going to be a part of something HUGE. All you have to do is the job they ask you to do and they will show their appreciation and make you feel valued as an employee.  Being so new and growing so fast gives employees multiple opportunities to shine and show the firm your worth! Working for Buckeye Law Group finally makes me feel like I found the place where I belong. 

Working at Buckeye Law Group has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my legal career. As a personal injury attorney, I have had the opportunity to make a real impact in people's lives and helping them navigate through some of the most challenging times they have faced. The firm fosters a client-focused environment and the priority is to achieve the best outcome for the client. I am constantly impressed with the hard work, dedication, and high standards from the entire firm, as everyone here cares about giving the clients the best customer service and professionalism possible. The work is challenging but incredibly fulfilling.

I typically never leave reviews. However, I feel it  is necessary in this case. 

Words cannot explain how awful this place is. The  office is located downtown, so yes it is aesthetically pleasing. However, do not expect to receive training, communication, or guidance from management. Instead prepare to receive a swift termination letter because turn over is high. 

With this said, please do not go in thinking you can control the narrative of your future with this company because the law administrators will undermine you ever attempt to do your job and portray you negatively to Human Resources. 

Working here has been a positive experience overall. The team is supportive, and management is approachable and willing to help when needed. I've had the chance to build new skills and take on responsibilities that helped me grow professionally. I'd recommend this job to anyone who would want to gain experience and be part of solid, hardworking team.
