I started working for Country Villa Health Services (or CVHS) 7+ years ago and it was the best decision i ever made. I was offered a position that i had ZERO experience but fair knowledge and i wanted to learn. I appreciated the faith that the company gave me and over the course of seven years my knowledge and expertise of the cost reimbursement process (from cost report preparation to audits, from rate projections to rate-settings, from cost analysis to business office affairs, from regulatory provisions to proposed amendments, etc.) have grown exponentially! 

The hardest part of the job are the frustrations of getting the data or documents you needed to complete the report or to satisfy the auditor but it never really posed that much of a challenge as long as i knew who to go to, what file room or whose office to search, which vendor or consultants to email --- the job still gets done, thankfully.

I had a great mentor and a boss. Everything i learned, i owe it from her. Until 7 months ago, there were 7 of us in our department but recent company decisions to streamline the business and let go all the managed facilities made us lose 4 of our colleagues. 

I appreciate what Country Villa has done for me professionally and would have never entertained the idea of leaving the company if not for the unfortunate but necessary business decisions that what every other company had to undergo sometimes.

I worked here for a year. There is no teamwork, if I needed help I was on my own as the coworkers who supposed to help turn their back on you. Their human resources lack professionalism, one of them girl, Lashonda, was very rude and though she could treat you like she was better than youl. I also noticed some people were overpaid while others with the same job would get less. Money wasted in some areas and management would be cheap on other needed things. Lisa Steph was very dedicated and hard worker, but she lacked sense on some areas. Company went downhill because of bad management, their turn over was high, and having too many family related people might not be a good idea, since there is always favoritism. Company organized birthdays, holidays, work related activities. Benefits were no existent, some employees expected to drive their own cars, but mileage reimbursement was too low. Many great people to work with, good experience with co workers

Typically, in a day to day basis my goal is to maintain the census stability and mcare numbers throughout the year by having a great rapport with our  referral sources. It is a census driven industry in healthcare.  We are also the  #1 choice among referrals from hospitals, with specialist and indirect referrals. Throughout my journey as Community Business Representative, there have been up and downs in the field, however it is very rewarding. I enjoy my interaction with the patients and as well as family members. The best thing is giving them a piece of mind, which I love doing. It gives me great pleasure that I am able to make one smile. There is no challenges nor barriers in a position if you enjoy what you are destined to do.

Working for a lead departmental administrator in charge of corporate policies and manuals. I received assignments which included reviewing contracts, documentation related to company policies manuals and conformity, and also other assignments. I gained experience and learned to work with professionals to employ values and attention to detail. I valued working with administration and supporting staff on this assignment. I would suggest other people work at this corporate office in the future if they desire to learn how to operate in a hard working environment complying with staff and administrators to complete highly specialized documentation needing professional oversight for correctness.

My daily routine was very productive with numerous assignments that needed to be completed daily.  At times, I needed to be flexible and/or know how to prioritize my work assignments.   

I learned so much about the skilled nursing industry from my management team that I supported throughout the years with CVHS.  

I worked very well with all co-workers and other department within the company.

When my positioned was eliminated due to downsizing but, most of all I hated to see the company go through financial hardship and eventually go bankrupt.

I had a very rewarding experience being employed with Country Villa Health Services (CVHS) for over 14 years. I loved the family atmosphere.

Manage Health Care Record department
Audit nursing facility to comply with federal/state regulations
Computer data entry: Physician’s orders, monthly reports, and medication sheets necessary for nurse’s medication pass
Filing medical records of residents in house, prepared charts for new admission, and file discharge medical records
Provided staff training with company policies, procedures and new forms
Stock, answering phones, coping records, forms etc, and faxing Assist residents with daily living: dressing, bathing and eating
Provide hospital staff with assistance with taking vital signs, observing behaviors, and with treatments
Encourage and assistance with physical therapy exercises
Provided assistance in activities for resident stimulation

If you were not friends with administration or head nursing you was outcast. No support from corporate when compliant against administrator or verse versa management. Building was cultural and age divide among the staff. Poor administrator performance lack ability to form and direct teamwork. Staff calls family members problem makers instead of being proactive...they cover up for their own friends. No job security...not able to play role as team player without fear of being terminated or retaliation

While focusing on end-user experience and support, we always had multiple projects and systems to improve and develop.  Business users were creative and kept us busy with their needs.  

The hardest part of the job was to pick one project over another one and disappoint someone that needed the most.  When resources got reduced, it became even harder. 

I really enjoyed when ideas came together to designed new solutions and automate processes that helped department lowered their costs and time spent on tasks that we automated or eliminated.

Challenging and rewarding serving the senior citizens of the community.   Everyday is a new learning experience as I  am furthering my experience as a cook . T he company is under new management that is not as rewarding as a company as Country Villa . We have a great team . We get complimented frequently on the quality of our service and especially on the quality of our meals. we are physically overwhelmed as we don't have enough staff and we a lot of times don't get our breaks. I have a lot of passion for providing good food to our senior community. I have always enjoyed cooking and take pride in cooking.

a typical day working @ Country Villa was being fast on my feet and quick to prepare and set up patient meals . I learned during my 3 years there that there are so many state requirements for food storage, food preparation,health, and sanitation. I worked with enjoyable and fun people.
The hardest part of the job was keeping up in the beginning and mentally soaking in all that was taught.
The whole experience of working there was enjoyable especially when interacting with the patients. The patients (priceless)
