A typical day for me at work really depends on which department I am in. But since I am mostly in the brush department a typical day of making brushes would be a fast pace/up beat environment. It is the kind of day that makes you tired after work. What I learned here is you have to be on your game at all times there is no time for slacking because if you do then your cutting down the number for production. But you also have to be cautious because of the machines we use.The management in my opinion is wonderful. They will do anything in their power to make it a safe, fun, and but productive day. Normally when someone talks about management there are more cons then pros but not here. Everyone gets along and jokes around when there is time to. The hardest part of the job I would say is staying on ask, there is so much going on you can get side tracked. But also I think getting the steps to make a brush are hard at first but after you get them down then your good to go the rest is muscle memory. The most enjoyable thing would be the people that work there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Enjoyed my time there. Company updating facilities.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I was not a fan of second shift.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My building it was as good as the people working with me would bring. The more positive you work, the easier it is for those around you to be positive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Quick meeting to start, everyone got their assignments and then off we go.

Machines break I fix them that’s basically it! This place will treat you right, all you have to do is keep a positive attitude treat everyone the same and be willing to volunteer and you will move up within the ranks! Just in case you don’t understand it’s be happy, be nice, and volunteer for things that are outside your job description and all of a sudden you have a promotion and a raise it’s that simple! 

I like that they switch out .. each day with machines.. handle and pack ,and post tipper and ASL.except when training .. would love to have .. also am thankful that I got pushed to perform well an fast.. am hoping to be able to advance up  in the company.  I have no complaints.  I like that it's a friendly work environment.. I love that we can have fun ..and still get everything done ..

I personally loathed working for Wooster, it was the most awkward experience that I've ever had. However, there are plenty of people that have stuck with the company for 20+ years... so they must be doing something right.

Absolutely ridiculous low pay. $10 an hour!

The best thing about the company was the work schedule, 7:30AM-4PM. 

Stuck behind in the Times... haven't changed a thing since like 1960. Everything is outrageously outdated.

3rd shift supervisor has his favorites if you're not one you're just a number nothing check schedule to see what machine you are on then get ready to work very fast if you are packing what I learned is that sometimes a place isn't all it's cracked up to be 

My favorite job I did at the Wooster brush was stapling, I found this to be very enjoyable and relaxing. I never had a bad day at work when I was stapling even when the machine was being difficult. A typical day is going in doing your job right hoping everything runs great and then going home. The work place culture somewhat easy going and laid back.

Great place to work with great benefits. Third shift was about quality, not numbers, but the workers always exceeded the expectations. Pay raises are very small but profit sharing and company outings make up for it. Tons of overtime which make it hard for family life. The people and management are very nice and try to help with anything they can.

This is not a stressful company

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Wooster Brush has an open door, family centric environment.

I've worked most types of jobs from food service to construction work. But the Wooster Brush Company has, by far, been one of the best businesses I've worked. They care about your overall health, treat you like an individual, and not as another machine. the best way to explain this job, is that it simply isn't factory work. It is easy and manageable.
