Great pay. Worked with someone I had a lot of respect. The Director of Nursing during my employment was dishonest about communications which is the only reason I resigned. I was placed on-call twice without prior notice. Was still expected to take it and perform as expected.  I did the first time. The second time it happened a week later, I ended up resigning. The DON has a reputation that follows her around for how she treats the staff and of course I'm not the only one who had the same issue with the DON placing nurses on-call rotation without letting them know. Setting up your team for failure shows you are weak at leading and managing a team ... you are the failure yourself ... not your team. No accoutability. The administrator (who I no longer respect professionally) didn't take disciplinary action toward the DON to fix the issue. Where there is no accountability in management, shows incompetence and why there is a high turn-over. Don't take my word for it.  Try it out.  I lasted less than 30 days and only regret leaving because of the compensation.  Could have been a wonderful company to work for if administration and director of nursing were not so incompetent.

As a scheduler in the CBO in Addison, TX the job is extremely stressful. This company has no culture, no moral, poor management and training. The management staff have a bullying tactic about them . please be aware if you are considering a position with this company that they will work you until you are burned out. I have had nurses get in my face and nothing was done about it. I have had Business Development specialist be rude and condescending. I have had management attack my character with no examples all made up assumptions. I have experienced harassment with being called in the office at first every week to see if i like my job then to every day to discuss a verbal warning. One verbal warning, that management did not have any examples of.  I was called into the office five times for a verbal warning. Management exudes racism and favoritism. As it was told to me no one stays in this position long and i see why!  The person before me only lasted 6 months and so did I. This company is miserable and i feel sorry for the patients that are being cared for by this company. If you are looking for a long lasting career this is not the place.

TheraCare Home Health is known for its ridiculously high turnover rate of employees in all departments. ALWAYS a red flag to a perspective employee. If you are looking for a quick, temporary paycheck this is your place.

Operations manager is disconnected from heads of departments. Does not listen to suggestions on how small changes could make big differences in productivity. Overworks individuals so one person typically has to do the job of three or four. 

Operations manager NEVER turn down a single Medicare referral for ANY reason. As long as a potential patient has Medicare, they WILL qualify for TheraCare Home Health. MAJOR sign that they are setting themselves up for fraud investigation by the government.

Corporate is disconnected from what is going on in the local DFW healthcare market. They do not do anything/ provide anything to help any departments be more successful or productive. They just sit in their fancy offices and put pressure on sales managers to bring more Medicare referrals to the door.

If your a clinician with no home health care experience you may have heard "they are all the same". Not true - this place is worse due to being understaffed in all areas of nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc. They will hire you for a specific area, smile in your face during the interview and first few weeks and then send you completely out of your area on a regular basis and tell you "oh well, too bad this is now your area". The management is also incompetent along with everyone else in the office. There is no support from the office for clinical staff in the field. If you are a therapist be prepared to work as a nurse if you find something that needs to be reported, for example a new wound, elevated BP, patient does not understand medications, etc because there will never be a nurse available to go out to see a patient if needed. 
Be prepared for changing of agreements that you were hired for - hours, locations, holidays, on call.
No clinicians here are happy and between us all we are searching for new employment.

Theracare ran a home health business with a narrow sense of vision. Theracare will need to will need to broaden their vision in regards to policy and procedure. One size does not fit all. The patients suffer the most when the upper management is unable to see what is going on at the lower levels including orders being seen and processed, supplies not being ordered as needed nor the staff having all the supplies that are needed for basic nursing visits. Friendships are great in the workplace but they need to be held to the same standard as other employees. Theracare has too much favoritism and not enough accountability. Theracare Administration does not like new ideas even if they will help a multitude of problems including common sense approaches. My 90 day evaluation was only an observation of one nursing visit which was very good according to evaluator.

If you want a job that's very stressful, constant pressure to make billing requirements, pushy management and back stabbing employees, join the crew. Worked at the CBO (Central Billing Office) in Addison. You can NOT trust HR, even with a closed door policy. Surprised Medicare hasn't shut this place down! Worked there for about a year and a half, couldn't take it anymore! They shine you with food and a nice environment but trip you with a tray in your hand. This place has the highest home health clinician turn around as well as at their facilities! All locations; you get used to one person, then here comes another. Just horrible management. Very money driving and less patient driven! Too cut throat in EVERY aspect!

The patients. Because upper management was horrible.

They fired me while I was on FMLA. They couldn't care less about taking care of patients, it was all about getting a good review. And the turnover rate is ridiculous. Please steer clear of this company they had state in over 5 times in one year! Just a horrible company. I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did!

Non existent. People have their little cliques.

It was great as long as I didn't have to go to the office or deal with upper management.

1-management sets up their staff with a negative, harassing environment 
2-the office has a dark energy when one walks through the door
3-company fires nursing staff for telling the truth, extremely retaliatory

One walks on egg shells wondering when the next time is they are brought into an office for unnecessary stress

Worked both full time and PRN. Mgt takes advantage of their staff, you have no good benefits or vacation time. They will run you all over town, on call is terrible. Not very many staff available for on call. If your patient needs a visit, even though they weren't scheduled, they will make you go even though you are full. 

Advice, look for another employer. Many companies out there to work for.

Theracare's business plan/model consisted of hiring connected talented individuals to aquire, and build relationships with top core clients. Once these top tier industry spceific clients were attained, cultivated, and developed a consistent revenue flow, then management chooses to attain representatives for lesser pay instead of compensating their top producers which aquired said accounts.
