So basically this company is a middleman that merchandises for a variety of brands. You set your schedule, pick your stores, and do everything via an app. They pay a couple of extra dollars for drive time but it isn't usually enough to cover a gallon a gas. Some stores are quick jobs and some are pretty drawn out and exhausting. You will rack up a ton of mileage on your car if you attempt to make a living doing this. They expect you to call and set visit appointments on your own personal time. They only pay via Paypal, not bank direct deposit. So you can expect fees to be deducted from your pay by Paypal an potential hiccups with you receiving pay.  Also you get paid the same day every two weeks but not the same time. You will never wake up to being paid and they may not even pay you until close to 11pm on payday. Then if you don't want to do instant transfer on paypal to avoid fees, you can add an extra 3 days to your expected payday. 
The app is super glitchy and will not work most of the time. You will spend a day doing visits only to have them hang during submission and not being counted until the next day. Some times you have to contact support to get these visits counted. It's good for supplemental income but it is a ton of unpaid driving. 

From the get go - ThirdChannel was just a ball of energy - striving to be something big, solving customer problems before they even know they were a problem - trying to be one step ahead of the industry to create the best innovative tool to make things easier for field teams and serve up  the most amazing predictive analytics. I believe ThirdChannel will get there. The leadership believes it - there are some of the smartest people I have ever worked with there who will make it happen.  Those are just two of the ingredients you need for success.  

With every start up there are the usual challenges and growing pains, and  ThirdChannel has seen its fair share of them as most companies do.  The culture is positive and upbeat - there is no one who wishes ill of anyone - and I think that is a good thing. It's truly a family and everyone is there for one another in good times and bad. They're productive, they are there to solve problems, laugh, debate, learn and make things happen.

My goal everyday was to, come in and get to work with smart and amazing people, solve some really interesting problems, maybe learn something new, build something innovative and simple that my mom could use and then maybe someday - make the company enough money that we could go public so everyone at ThridChannel could go out and buy a yacht. I can say that got to do all of that - except for the yacht. ;)

I have now been working for ThirdChannel for over 4 years. I’ve worked under multiple programs and represented a handful of different brands. I can honestly tell you that this is by far the best company that I’ve ever worked for. They are truly an incredible company. They offer you some really cool opportunities to represent awesome brands, that you will quickly become passionate about representing. What you can expect working as ThirdChannel Agent will be extremely competitive pay, a very flexible schedule, and opportunity. If you consistently work hard and prove your loyalty to the program by accepting a lot of visits and doing a great job at them you will often be rewarded with chances to work in other programs opportunities to get raises and promotions. They will provide you with all of the tools that you will need to do to your job to the best of your ability. You will become part of a community with other agents just like you. Every single program manager that I’ve worked under has been amazing. I would highly recommend working for ThirdChannel. You will absolutely love the ability to work independently and never wake up feeling stressed about going to work. I highly recommend you working for ThirdChannel!

I worked remotely for Third Channel for 2 years. You are placed in a brand program that is near/somewhat in the area you live in. This was a school job, so, the income wasn't bad. But, the management of the company was horrible. Most of their Program Managers have zero clues as to how to run a staff. In the beginning, I had a great PM, but when the program discontinued, I was put into a new program where the PM was demanding, controlling, and nasty attitude. When I requested to change into a new program due to family accommodations - the PM talked down to me and implied that this would be hurting them. They ended up terminating my contract because according to them (after 2 years) I wasn't doing my job and that the other PM's were not happy with my performance. And, if you are terminated from one program, they will terminate you from all of their programs - which I think was ridiculous - when the other program was ending as well. I felt as though, the pay period was coming and they didn't want to dish out the money anymore since I was in two programs.  

The job has only one perk - it's flexible. Other than that, if you're looking for something stable, I wouldn't recommend at all. You're better off working elsewhere.

Pretty basic and straightforward work, work where you get to frequent the same stores on the monthly schedule, make your own schedule, and work inside. They pay a little higher than average compared to other merchandising companies. I had constant trouble with the app that they use, however management was for the most part understanding about issues and in general easy to work with. Hours were predictable - until they were not. Was with them for two and a half, almost 3 years, and the program ended abruptly with no warning, and I was told with just a brief email. Had to follow up myself to be told that the program is officially over and they are have no more positions, essentially laying off both me and hundreds of other people right before Christmas. No loyalty or communication. Now hundreds of us are experiencing a huge gap in income and all they can say is "lol sorry"

A typical day entails adding new applicants, reaching out to applicants and managing those who have already applied to the campus rep program at ThirdChannel. All of the coworkers are warm and inviting and really want to be a solid resource for the interns. I learned key marketing skills, such as analyzing click-through rate and market trends via email marketing campaigns, how to engage college students through social media and how to create meaningful messages within campaigns. The hardest part of the job was dealing with spreadsheets, as I am more creatively inclined. The most enjoyable component of this internship was participating in brand strategy, brainstorming the first time user experience, and having my opinions so valued by the CEO and other coworkers in other collaborative meetings.

I have been working at Third Channel for about a year now. I truly love my job! Everything is done remotley from home and I rarely run into any issues. The pay is great and there is no selling or pressure - just performance standards theyd like you to meet to ensure you are actually doing your job. A typical day consists of scheduling appointments, calling to confirm, traveling to my locations and filling out reports. Managment is really hands off and trusts their employees to get their jobs done. The only downside to working here is you never know when your job could dissapear and there is not much room for advancement. You are also an independent contractor so no benefits (but dont let this scare you when I filed taxes I ended up owing $0)

I really enjoyed my short time with Third Channel. I really liked the flexibility of the schedule. I feel as if I were to work more with them, my opportunities for growth would have been very fruitful. This job gave me the opportunity to help people in the retail world, it definitely filled my need in a competitive environment. Helpwas just an email away, and I feel I was able to make a great connection between the Coach brand and the store that I was associated with. I made a lot of great connections in store and with the people of third channel. I definitely enjoyed the opportunity. 

Don't expect a great pay for this role being as an independent contractor. With gas prices rising, there is travel with low travel pay. One will find themselves in a store for hours not being paid. Only visits are being paid at 2.5 hours with some locations only seeing 1.5 hours. Some locations have so much work to do and it will not be all done at one visit. You will return to the store and find that everything you had done has not continued. Most people are paid a horrible hourly. I was able to get my pay to where it should be and of course I was let go after a management change, and not understanding that a visit needed more time at the store than what was being paid. You are quickly replaceable.

In some cases the visits are in such disarray, and there is no help from the store associates. Which is some instances you are not able to complete the visit.
