When I was first hired I was told I would be taking care of 7 residents by myself, but generally it was a 1 to 26 ratio. You're constantly drowning, and most of the residents belong in a skilled nursing facility, not assisted. My coworkers weren't helpful, and would constantly clear call lights without actually answering them. You'd give your schedule of availability and be scheduled on every day you'd want off due to high turn over. Administration never actually listens to concerns, and could care less about you as an employee. The turn over is so high that brand new employees are training brand new employees, its a dumpster fire. There are no raises, unless you ask for it, and you probably won't get it. And there are no benefits. Would rather work fast food than work here ever again. 

The work is fulfilling and the coworkers  are amazing! There is a culture of helping each other out, and questions are highly encouraged. I never felt dumb or embarrassed about asking questions, and I always felt I could bring my concerns to management and they would be listened to. Great part-time work for students. 

The pay is pretty good compared to other places in Cedar City. The residents are amazing and such a fun time!  My coworkers are great and everyone is always willing to help.
