Life at thrive is what you make of it . It’s not bad nor is it great . I had great moments and I had not so great moments . Pls and I mean pls don’t just go off my experience .. try it for yourself what works for you may not work for me .  Ow let’s dive right into it . It a was great start as I mentioned . Coming in as a redshirt with no experience only admin hotel work . I’ve learned alot along the way many great people that mentored me . I worked through hip pain that called for a hip replacement surgery , also experienced other issues such as a really bad break up and last but not least a sudden death . They shown concern but I couldn’t remain employed there and had to venture on with life . Maybe with a bit more help and not everything thrown on me for a 166 unit property was a bit much . I under the budget I worked accounting at a hotel . But to ask of what I was doing and being held at only a maintenance tech one with bare minimum pay was the deal breaker after 2 yrs of employment . I like to feel like my work is acknolwged but promotion  with raise . But it never came to that for me . Secondly to do on call at a property with no access was a bit odd . But I did the best with what I had .. so that’s my experience like I said feel free to check them out yourself and don’t go off what I’m saying try them for your self and get your own true experience . I can be a angry bitter employee just being vengeful (which I’m not obviously) but it’s good out there like that .. 

Thrive is a great place to work. They are a growing company with opportunities for advancement. The leadership team is tenured, accessible, and open to feedback.  At most companies, you rarely have the opportunity to engage with executive leadership. At Thrive, you can pop into the CEO's office any day and have open conversations. The company has high standards with a strong focus on results, which comes with high expectations on customer service, follow-through, adaptability, and awareness. This means that to be successful, you need to be committed to putting in the work and open to feedback. From my experience, and what I've heard from peers, employees feel a sense of belonging, trust, and excitement about their future with Thrive!

A typical day of work consists of the leasing staff (only me because the leasing manager was on leave) taking care of all the admin work while the community manager doesn't help, but loves to give task after task. Even when I mentioned I need help, what does the community manager do? Instead of getting a temporary person for leasing, they add a temporary community manager. 

While I bring these things up to upper management, it gets disregarded and thrown to the side, like I am a bother. That's when I realized that upper management is very one-sided. They act like they hear you and care, but they really don't. That's my fault for giving trust.

While I plan to finish my full year here, I want to let everyone know that not all teams are like this with this company (please keep that in mind). However, I am a seasoned Leasing Agent and have been treated better at my previous company (who is much bigger). I really suggest that you dig deeper into the companies you apply for, especially this one. Not everyone has the same experiences, just take it into account.

I worked at Thrive Communities for a little over a year and for the most part it was an enjoyable experience. Management and Home Office are strong and compassionate. They hold bi-weekly video calls with the Vice President and Human Resources Director to go over updates and make the whole company feel like a tight knit family with strong training programs. 

The work load is immensely large for the pay and stress. Working in Multi-family housing is not easy right now and someone can easily make mistakes and get bogged down with the stress - this is where Thrive suffers. There is little to no support and the work/life balance suffers because of it. They are trying to expand too quickly at a time when we are suffering for labor and the workload keeps piling on.

Working for this company has been a frustrating experience. The regional managers display poor leadership and are disconnected from the realities of the property. Goals set for staff are entirely unrealistic, with no understanding or consideration of the challenges we face daily.

The regional manager visits the property only every other month, which is not nearly enough to address ongoing issues or provide meaningful support. When they do visit, their feedback is often unhelpful and out of touch with the actual situation on the ground.

As employees, we’re left feeling unsupported and set up for failure. Morale is low, and it’s clear that leadership is more concerned with appearances and numbers than the well-being of the team or the property’s success.

I cannot recommend working here unless significant changes are made at the leadership level.

Thrive has changed from a Family Friendly atmosphere full of support and positivity, to more of a corporate feel in which they care more about the bottom line profits for their clients rather than their employees. 

You are definitely considered "Just Another Number" and are easily replaceable. If you are not in the "In Crowd" you will not be promoted or recognized. It is clear as day on who the Inner Circle is and it is sickening. 

Their head Trainer, does not lead by example on things he teaches in class. He is very biased and only concentrates on praising his favorite people and those he doesn't care about, ignores with much hatred and vigor in his eyes. Culture died when the co-founder stepped down and named her two replacements earlier this year. It's all about upper management & not the everyday hard worker. If you don't brown nose, you're not appreciated. 

I’ve been with Thrive since 2009 as a Community Manager, Regional Manager, Senior Regional and now Director. I can say from all my experience and time here that Thrive is and continues to work to be the best Property Management firm in the Puget Sound. They care about their employees, care about their success and overall growth for as many people as possible. While some tough decisions need to be made from time to time, thoughtful consideration and time is spent making those decisions. Those decisions are always made for the best of all, even if they are tough. I have been through all the changes at Thrive and can say these decisions have always been for the best and the outcome has always been for growth and a stronger team overall. Proud to be a Thriver and look forward to many more years here!

I read positive things about Seattle, but the Portland Market is terrible. The leadership has no idea what they are doing except looking for someone else to blame. You communicate training you want/need. they give you different training. They shove "Thrive culture" down your throat but you do not actually experience anything positive. Oh, and "voluntary" things, are not voluntary, you will have to explain why you did not do a voluntary survey. All the other managers wanted to be heard, and the favorite, they do not listen to other ideas that would improve. They make quick decisions in corporate that negatively impact the team, because they cannot figure out something many other companies can do easily. 

Experienced a lot of belittling while working for this company. It felt like no matter the amount of work I put in, it was never enough nor recognize unfortunately. I came in with great leasing experience and it felt like they would consistently consult me as if I had none. The managers claim to have great experience managing properties but it did not feel like that with the way the team was being treated on-site. HR has little help ultimately when it comes to bigger issues as well. This company is not for the weak. I would not apply to this company again in the future as well. I would not recommend working here if you are looking for somewhere healthy and positive to work. 

the assistant manager at the time stole my prospects I spoke to her about it several times nothing happened I discussed it with the manager she told me to talk to her about it. Commissions didn't get paid on time received it after about 3 weeks after I quit. Paychecks were also incorrect for several employees one employee advised HR and was yelled at by the manager for telling HR (retaliatio ). People that should have gotten fired for going home on the job and stealing were not fired promptly
