What is the best part of working at the company?
Staff is friendly and courteous. Always appreciate your hard work and easy to communicate with.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having your schedule matched to the right client

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Its  in home based. You go into people's homes and assist them sith the care they need ,such as autism 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depending on client. Go in, Assisted with personal care such as bathing, deodorant and teeth....get dressed. Run errands or appointments, Assisted with house chores, visit a little and personal care again, take trash out and clock out.

The pay is great, but my offer letter of employment said I would get 40 hours, I was lucky if I got 19. Zero support from supervisors. We are working with developmentally disabled individuals, and things can go sideways. But when you call out for help no one answers your call, or calls you back. They send you out to clients without much important information about them, or the info you have is very outdated. 
Also if the clients decide they don’t want you there they can send you away and you only get paid for the time you were there, for example an hour when you had a 10 hour day scheduled with them. 

Working for Thrive has been an enjoyable experience. They have given me support and given me the flexibility I need in my life. As a single mom of 3 kids I have been able to be a mom and work without missing much of my children's lives. They also have supported me through times where I have had a hard time or not known what to do. I have enjoyed working for Thrive and my customers have become more than just customers, they have turned into family and friends. It really is rewarding in more ways than one! 

There are no typical days this thing is as individual as an experience as our clients. 

As an employee I expected upon hire that this would be just another corporate us vs them attitude. The management in office has an ‘us because of them’ attitude. They appreciate the people out in the field who have direct care roles and have no hesitation in showing their gratitude towards us in various ways.

hanging out with my kids or taking them to the park even the library wherever they want to go.

At typical day at work if filled with lots of encouragement and happiness. In the time working for Thrive I have had an amazing experience from the manager, clients and environments.  The management had been very helpful and so kind. They are easy to reach out to and they have also have an answer for you or can get an answer timely. I get to enjoy doing what I love at the same time getting a good pay. My most enjoyable part of my jobs is getting to see my clients happy and full of joy when assisting them. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is the relationships that grow from my position! I meet and connect with people on a daily basis! I enjoy the fun activities I can do with clients like go to the park and take a nice walk. One thing struggle with is the unexpected behaviors/ emotions that arise from my clients but it’s a learning opportunity and teaches me to be proactive. Workplace culture is good! 

I have learned a lot about how to communicate with other people and how to coordinate with more than a couple people! The most enjoyable thing is when you can visually see that you are making a difference in someone’s life and when you become friends with the person!

The most enjoyable thing about my job is my clients. The management is easy to talk too and really cares about their employees. The hardest part of the job, is just like any other healthcare job, sometimes we may not always have a great day but it’s our job to try to make everyday ‘the clients’ best day. Thrive is a great company to work for as a DSP. 

A typical day consisted of the manager overloading your case load and expecting everything to be done in half the time it would take to do it “that’s if your goal was to do it right”.  They are not concerned with a job well done and the needs of the clients only the money it brings in. Staff receive zero training, guidance, support, or communication.
