I worked here about a year ago. As far as entry-level contract positions go, it's not horrible. However, when a company tells you the job is a 3-6 month contract with potential for hire, it's kind of a red flag. That basically means they'll dangle the potential for hire in front of you while they milk you for your best work and send you off if you don't meet your coworkers' ridiculously high standards. Mind you, the staffing agency who got me the interview told me that this was a position that a lot of people in the area get hired for, so it makes you kind of wonder. I worked on a team of four other people, only one of them being a contract hire like me.

Anyway, the pros are
1. Flexible work schedule
2. Cool work space (WeWork)
3. Doable work. The program and guidelines you use to build maps are easy to learn.
4. Occasional free concert tickets

Cons 
1. Extremely tedious
2. Some workplace intimidation
3. Not worth the commute at their entry-level pay rate, especially if you don't live near the downtown area.
4. Not much creativity involved

Ticketmaster has clear guidelines for how they build their maps, which is respectable considering the quality of their services versus competitors. However, there came a point where the map reviewing became a ridiculous game of a label being "just one point off," no matter how many times I centered and re-centered objects. So, there would be a lot of back and forth and waiting around for the maps to be reviewed while the reviewer(s) just did who knows what, and then I'd get attitude. I still wonder if it was a case of workplace discrimination, but I rest my case.

Overall, it could be a fun place to work if the staff decides to warm up to you. If not, then you can expect to be cut off at a moment's notice. I was told that my contract was over right at the three-month mark just as I was about to leave for the day. To add to that, there wasn't any management around to give the company computer back to, so I had to make another trip downtown to hand it in to my recruiter. In the end, I had something to put on my resume, but I wouldn't do it again. Creatives, be warned.

You clock in at your computer at exact time of work schedule. You get 1 or 2 10min. breaks and must use restroom only on break times or lunch time which is only 30mins. For breaks and lunch you must clock in and out at computer at exact times. If you are one min. late for clocking back in, then your break goes unpaid. Typically you are to sit at the computer in a cubicle all shift till scheduled break times. You are to help irritated people with their account problems or ticket problems such as deciding refunds, exchanges, and etc. You have to look up companies policies as you do this work. You use one screen for account info and 2nd screen for company info while switching through multiple tabs and programs for other information. You also have to learn how to use their personalized account coding system. No snacks, no uncapped drinks, no cell phones, and no writing utensils in working area / on carpeted floor.

Personally, I don't like being yelled at by angry customers all day and people who are crying about why they need refunded so badly. Multitasking is no problem for me, but it became very overwhelming when I had to help them by using so many different programs and having to hold a conversation to keep them calm and keep their mind off of how long it took me to help them by using all the programs. I love helping people, but being belittled by the people I'm helping for trying to help them is not my cup of tea.

Pay needs to be increased for all employees. The coding system needs fixed, there are easier ways to work on accounts that you aren't even shown until on floor after training. I believe learning the coding is important, however the point and click methods should be taught as well, preferably after basic coding. Break times shouldn't be so strict, 2 to 3 min.s of wiggle room for clock in and out should be mandatory due to some computers not working when you get to it or some of them just being slow.

I am Bi-lingual English and Spanish proficient a Tickets Now and Ticketmaster LLC agent, I worked daily with 2 monitors and multiple computer programs simultaneously operating at the same time. I have an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform & Macintosh Apple Platforms Operating Systems, Windows Vista, XP, ME, 2000, can use Outlook, IM, AOL, Word, Excel, Pay Pal, billing software, and PowerPoint have a good knowledge of access. I am also cross trained as an agent for Reserve America reserving camp sites for customers across the United States. I am a trained communications equipment operator with an extensive knowledge of law enforcement call Ten Codes. I am proficient in aim and use of weapons as required by my employer. I will perform other task as needed by my supervisor and can work independently or in group and will travel as needed. I have supervised workers assigned to me or my work area and I will transport clients assigned to me or my area. I have transported to hospitals and other units or departments. I have work closely in medical department medical staff. I am a Trained in CPR have provided 1st aid assistance. I can work while in demand and can also multitask.

A typical day at work consisted of selling tickets, making that quota, making sure you dont go over your break cause if not youll be in deep trouble if you do. I learned to speak a bit more proper if you will, not that it stayed lol. i learned to make things sound more appealing, i learned how to trick someone into buying things from you even tho you knew they were not so good, like tickets behind the stage where you know they wont see anything but you tell em at least you'll go and you get to enjoy the show!!!! MANAGEMENT oh my they were about as useless as the most useless thing you could think of and i dont want to get into details cause well be here all day. My co-workers, it would have been nice if i would have been able to get to know them but i never did, you almost never see anyone more than 2 times maybe, most people quit right away. The hardest part is putting up with customers, they always have something to complain or talk about, then the worst part is the surveys you have to be good on. If you dont get good surveys they start to push you out the door slowly so you have to put up with customers and the incompetent supervisors and their unrealistic expectations. Needless to say there wasnt much I enjoyed about this job.

Worked here for a year and hated every second of it. Most customers act like children and want to escalate to managment for ridiculous reasons. The company makes employees obligated to escalate calls no matter how ridiculous the reason is. The help desk team are little to no help as some of them have bad attitudes and show no respect to their own co-workers and are never around when you need them the most. The management is even worse and people always give you different answers to questions and if you do one thing, someone else tells you you're doing it wrong. The company isnt even consistent with their own policies regarding refunds which makes customers even more aggressive. Things were worse when COVID-19 began and Ticketmaster only gave customers a 30 day window to request refunds for a postponed event. Big mistake for thinking their customers are smart enough to constantly check their emails for a refund notification. This company's biggest issue is that they do nothing to protect their own employees from customer abuse and almost always side with the irate customers when they're the ones in the wrong. Getting laid off from this awful company was the best thing to ever happen to me.

Upper management with this company is very out of touch with those at a lower level. The expectations they place are quite high for those earning a salary of 30K; i.e. required to carry a blackberry and be on call when paid hourly, but not receive pay for on call shift. Most teams are short-staffed and over-worked. Their expected to complete their work and meet all deadlines, but are capped for overtime, or are expected to work too much overtime. There is not much consistency. Because many ticketing events happen in the evening and on weekends, clients work opposite hours of the staff and need to contact staff during the off hours. This often results in client contact very late and night, on weekends or on holidays. It is essentially like working retail, but shined up to be an office job. 

In addition, the departments that are designed to work together are lop-sided. Where client service representatives are paid a higher salary and have more flexible hours, the event management teams are understaffed, overworked and poorly paid. 

At the end of the day, it seems the company is more concerned about numbers than client satisfaction or employee satisfaction. 

Overall not a great experince. I have been working with the company almost 6 years. Pay is minimum for all productivity performed. Allthough this company should be very well Tech prepared tools are actually needed. There is information as CS. We are un able to give an answer to the fan. Eventhough it is advised not to take things personally managers push for productivity which also makes us push on the fan. They keep record of even how many times you sneeze or do bodly functions.... Breath taking stressing workplace. Perks are Only 2 tickets (per person,per year)for 1 concert not inclusive, sports, shows, etc. For the nearest arenas such as Houston, Dallas not in the valley. Most importantly they dont recognize a great feature ... Bilingual... This really does not count eventhough they claim this could help in calls per hour. Being bilingual is not rexognized in this company.

This review is a little late. Before Covid, I worked for Ticketmaster for years working overnight on emails, chats with the occasional ADA phone order.  Got laid off due to everything shutting down.   When I got rehired, I was informed that they didn't have any overnight shifts but that they phased out phone calls and all support was being done via email/chats.  Also, due to my good history with the company, HR strongly recommended applying for supervisory or QA position as they opened up.  Two weeks into training, found out that even though we were being re-trained for emails/chats that we would be on phones only.  I kept going, and applied for the positions that HR recommended.  Sent paperwork multiple times, with documentation that they received it.  Every single time they 'never received the application' and someone else got the position.  Usually a friend/relative of someone in management. 

I am a Field Technology Support Specialist II. Typical day is arriving at the office and handling any follow up emails from notifications over night. Once follow ups have been completed I prepare equipment that is needed for installations or replacements. During this time frame I usually receive client calls or emails that I respond to.

Management at the company is great. My senior manager does a great job at supplying his employees with the tools we need to succeed in the field. All of management is open to all opinions. Input from anyone in the Field Technology department is weighed in on all decisions. Flexibility is unmatched by any other company I have worked for.

I have worked with co-workers from all over the country. All of the relationships I have with co-workers are great. Everyone is approachable and willing to help, even if it means taking them away from their normal scope of work.

The job provides a lot if client interaction. Being someone who enjoys being face to face and hands on with client issues can assist in providing a great image for the company.

Analyzed financial transactions for the validity of authorized payments to prevent and minimize loss. Responsibilities include investigation of high-risk transactions, correspond with customers and financial institutions to verify authorization, identify and communicate fraud trends, record chargeback data, definitively decide the validity of transactions and take the necessary actions. Handled customers fraud claims and general customer service issues.
I learned how to deescalate hostile customer complaints while ensuring I was going to do everything to help them with their problem or concern.
Management was supportive.
Co-workers were pleasant to work with.  
The hardest part of the job was initially learning the programs and identifying fraudulent transactions.  
The most enjoyable part of the job was exceeding all department and personal goals. Finding fraud and  being able to reach out to the card holder to make them aware of the compromised state of their information.
