The leaders in the c-suite of this company can not be trusted. They will tell you one thing then say they never said it. They don’t believe in emails so you will never get anything in writing. They actively participate in gossiping about their staff members and leaders which creates a very hostile and untrusting work environment. They do not show up when needed or want to help support their leaders. They pull you in to multiple meetings a week that last 2 hours or more keeping you from your work. They keep unrealistic goals for their leaders for example they expect their leaders to do one on one meetings with all their direct reports on a weekly basis. Some leaders can have up to 40 direct reports and this is still their expectations. They are not open to feedback or ideas. For example they have guest speakers come and speak to the leaders but then they will hold another meeting about why they don’t agree or won’t do anything that the guest speaker talked about. One example was a guest speaker talking about the importance of having a clear mission statement (which they don’t have) and keeping the core values short and easy for the staff to connect with (they have 24 core values). They try to skirt around laws and codes even the c-suite said they like to work in the grey area. 

Good to learn and step into healthcare they have a lot training for different things like EKGs, injections, immunizations 
Pay depends on how much they like your personality not your work 
Culture is toxic at times but they pretend like it isn’t it’s 50/50 
Most enjoyable part is find one coworker you know is a hard worker and keep that bond it’s the only way you’ll he able to get through a shift 
Hardest part is there is not accountability for the staff and they will randomly put their foot down and never do it again, they have unfair judgment and give special treatment for people who have been employed there for a long time but don’t do their fair share of work 
Way too much patient load for the amount of MAs so the patients have to wait and are inconvenienced, unfair for the staff, providers and patients
They will not stop walk ins even if necessary they fight tooth and nail to keep them open even if you’re 30 patients behind 
You can take care of 30 patients and someone else take care of 3 and they don’t care 
You can make more money with less stress at other jobs but this is a good place to work at temporarily to learn more about healthcare

Overall
when covid hit they did nothing for these frontline workers in their freestanding ER in Benbrook. Their census went up tremendously so we know they were bringing in more money but offered no incentive for us. They asked why I stopped picking up shifts and I explained that other systems are offering a lot more money which tells me they care for their employees and show them their appreciation and loyalty. I never had anything against total care until I saw their true colors and their greedy side. When facilities are offering incentives in a tough time it proves how much they care about us. It not just the money, it's the act of kindness that demonstrates their loyalty to their people.

I learned so much here as an MA and would recommend anyone who is entering healthcare and is disciplined to join. This is a very difficult position with managing front and back office but primary care can be very rewarding. if you are not able to handle fast paced workflows and multitasking (answering phones, checking in front desk, vitaling, and bloodraws) this is not the job for you. If you are able to work under difficult conditions and take initiative with little guidance, I would work here. Don’t expect heavy training. Come in with questions

Working with many different issues. 
  Clients who need total assistance, eating , bathing  or incontinent, taking care all personal needs, skin care ,shaving,  Daily

Making meals, changing bed and clothes as needed, laundry ,  house cleaning,  keeping all trash out and tidy.
Running errands, Medication reminders.

Meeting ALL VA required tasks,   every shift

The job was great, paid well, flexible schedule, etc. However my entire department was lied to from day one and our positions were eliminated as soon as we taught their overseas team everything we knew-something we all voiced concerns about and were assured by senior leadership wouldn’t happen. Don’t worry, it hasn’t stopped them from opening new locations across the world and they certainly aren’t in enough financial trouble to sell unused property or refrain from remodeling existing clinics, people just aren’t a priority as they claim. 

I have never been apart of a company that genuinely cares to grow me as a leader professionally spiritually and emotionally. TotalCare is my family and I have so much joy and gratefulness for this company. They have provided access for me to become the best at my position and I have an incredible relationship with my leaders. I could not recommend this company more. I plan to be here forever!

Great team, that has worked hard together over the years, to provide excellent customer service to our patients and staff. We superceded our billing goals every month. This job at the end of the month got very intense and a lot of overtime was required to make sure that our billing number was met. I have gained so much knowledge from my time at this company with regards to billing, accounts receivable, and payment posting.

Totalcare talks about culture all the time but when there is a problem with culture they turn a blind eye and just let things happen. Staff culture was extremely negative and brings you down. Afraid to take care of the real problems. Don't trust management. 

Terrible training. No structure. Takes to long for claims to pay to get commission. Low base pay. Business office manager tries to manage sales reps. Needs to run her office more proficient.
