For the most part this job (supervisor) is pretty decent. Nothing too bad and nothing too special. I started off as a transporter and effectively did indoor physical labor all day pushing patients around the hospital. Then this position opened up and I took it because it offered more pay and was a desk job where I would run the board and take phone calls for most of the day.

The thing is, there's some details I must've missed in the fine print. Unlike the transporter position which can not be mandated to stay, PFC's CAN and DO. Can't find coverage for third shift? Guess what you are staying overnight. Someone called in sick for third shift? Guess what you are staying overnight. Do I have unresolved anger issues towards third shift? Probably. The other thing that seems to happen, not so much towards me but more so my coworkers, is that upper management seems to dump a lot of their work and responsibilities on them. I keep hearing over and over from my coworkers that they are overworked and stressed out constantly. On top of all of that, we still have to get out on the floor whenever it gets busy and be transporters again. We also have to deal with nasty nurses from time to time over the phone as well as in person. And finally, you have to be good at multitasking because if it is just you in the office and its busy, be prepared to handle 3 phone calls and 4 texts at the same time. If you take too long to respond to the transporters then they might tell upper management who will then give you a write up without getting both sides of the story first.

But then all of a sudden this magical thing happens. They give you this nice warm fluffy blanket called PTO. Everything else is pretty average and then they somehow offer world class PTO to supervisors and managers. Starting at just 24 hours a week a supervisor can get 25 DAYS of PTO* a year NON-ACCRUAL. Add in sick time of another 5 days a year and you are at 30 DAYS of time off. Mind blown. They also give you just enough pay to be competitive and keep you from going elsewhere. Supervisors also get free clothes from the company catalogue. 

So overall I would say that its pretty decent most of the time but when it gets busy or there is a lack of coverage things can turn bad very quickly. Turnover in transport seems to be somewhat high which hurts coverage and makes our jobs harder. Everyone is friendly though and easy to work with...for the most part. The PTO lets me easily get away and recharge which is great. There also seems to be many advancement opportunities all around the US.

As I have heard from the grapevine, if you're looking for an EVS job at a hospital, Touchpoint treats its workers so much better at Baptist, than they do here. 
Many years ago we had enough workers to have a person on each floor, now and for many months too, there isn't enough people and management cannot retain (keep) their employees. If you work here you will be responsible for an entire wing of a hospital, and then some. You will be overworked and highly underpaid. you will take on so many roles while stressing yourself out, while cleaning up after other EVS workers who have given up. You will not receive any type of gratitude (other than thanks from the nurses and doctors). You will not see any type of motivation or appreciation from management. They are there to just collect their paycheck and complain, while they wonder why they cannot keep anyone. 
Years ago they had an "employee of the month" competition that would help motivate each employee, but that was taken away and they provide ZERO motivation for anyone. Oh, maybe an occasional pizza and ice cream party, but management should understand we are not 12 years old and food should not equal= appreciation. 
If you want to motivate your employees, retain them, and see more workers who are content and happy= INVEST INTO THEM. 
I do enjoy the job and enjoy working on my own, but I do not see this organization improving in how they treat their employees in the long run. 

They force you to do things you're not trained to do or that weren't part of your job description. Management doesn't care and will not get involved for any reason. If you get hurt, you're in trouble. Have to go to the ER? Definitely in trouble. Temps get better hours and all the overtime. If a full time employee gets overtime, they get written up. They force you to clean C-Diff rooms without properly training you first. People will go in and clean ORs post surgery and no one double checks the room. Several times terminal cleans were supposed to be done and there would still be blood all over the rooms. Staff is poorly treated and worked like dogs with zero appreciation from any higher ups. You're pretty much invisible throughout the entire hospital and treated poorly by other staff. They'll change your schedule at a moments notice, when you're supposed to be assigned to one of three shifts. (7am-3:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, 10-7am) They changed my shift FOUR times after I told them I could not do that. More than half my checks come back short and they refuse to fix it and that'll be the time your check stubs just suddenly arent there or they cant find the file to print you off a copy. They'll page you to do a room while you're on break. You cannot clock back in early without a supervisor to log in a special code. Then you get in trouble because THEY paged YOU instead of someone that was walking around doing nothing (usually because they're walking around with them playing) and you couldn't clock back in yet. 

For short,
Only take this job as an absolute LAST resort.

It was a very hard and stressful job, and I must say there is much favoritism indeed within the workplace. Negative attitude amongst employees and disrespectful customers everywhere, and the new manager sure has a stick up his butt. This one customer had the nerve to talk me down like I was some slave to her, and these wannabe cowboy customers were so rude and giving me these uncomfortable glances as if I didn't notice them. The customers treat you like slaves and snap at you over the littlest things. The workers either slack off or have the nastiest attitudes in the working environment. I can tell some workers were not happy with their job, and I don't blame them. I broke down twice during this experience, because I was tired of customers and workers getting in my face and making me feel like I was worthless or not suitable for the job. If there's one thing I learned from working with this company, it's about feeling bad about yourself to the point you breakdown. They don't care, though. They only care that you work your butt off until the day's over, even if you're injured or feeling sick. Shame on this company. I used to have so much respect for them, but after what I've seen and experienced, I'm not sure I do anymore. Please reconsider working for this company. There's BETTER opportunities out there. Oh, and one more thing.. Make sure you don't meet people who try to force you to go to a cult church and making you think that all your problems are the "devil's doing." Don't fall for this stuff. Don't work for this company. Good luck, everyone.

The Management need to stop playing nice to them and being there 11A favorite and be more (aggressive on them)and so they can feel what its like to work very hard every day working and they need to work alot HARDER then they are and to be fair.And Its wrong that they are not and  should never get a free pass and have a very easy day and simple tasks apply to them only and they should get there work load increased MORE and MORE.I always like to be productive and work my postion and do more and more for this company touch point i love and but when i see a person like that cheat not not giveing 70percent atlest out of 100percent that bothers me and should be delt with the mangagment right away and Just advice to mangement maybe have them some times do aswell there big work load and pots and pans aswell if needed and  on top of all that extra stuff aswell if needed.Also they should do other jobs dutys in kichen instead of refuseing to and saying no and they should be pushed into a nice way the mangment wants to see them the way they want to and some other tasks that needed to  hopefully managment has them trained to do other jobs aswell right way to be fair to so if its needed if we have no other person and we would have a person like them there if scheduled and they can feel in and  would help aloot.Hope this gets to management or they see this as they will know full well what they should do on how to make the kitchen a more fair balance work place.

Honestly at 1st when I 1st started working here this was a fun job I couldn't enjoy it I could joke around with people and have fun after being there for almost 2 years you realize that people are snakes and you realize they aren't what they used to be and they just become more rude and they get away with so much stuff because they are favorites I've noticed there is a lot of favoritism lately and it's just something I want it recommend to somebody because when you work somewhere you shouldn't have to deal with harassment and you shouldn't have to deal with people being favored it should be equal no matter what and management is just horrible Management is really not the same there was once a good manager and he good manager and hes gone there was 2 other good managers and they were gone I think honestly overall the time that I have spent There it came worse You can't trust nobody you gotta stick to yourself do your job and mind your business it's there's there's just snakes everywhere people will lie on you people will do anything they can and they all want a bunch up in their little group and go against you and then when you have things on other people that they do it seems like that there is so much favoritism for that person that nobody wants to believe you nobody wants to understand you nobody wants to look into that but anything that anybody says about you can be so believable and it's just unfair it's just not a good work environment it's not a healthy work environment it's a stressful work environment and just so much more

I currently work as a patient transporter at Ascension Novi so I can only speak to the transport side of TouchPoint but it’s awful. 
I’ve worked here for a couple years and there are only three things I like about this job:
1. It’s close to home.
2. The friends I’ve made.
3. The fact that I’m still employed during the Covid19 pandemic.
As far as the job itself goes, I don’t recommend it unless you’re desperate for a paycheck. Management is horrible. They don’t communicate well with the team or even with each other. 
Not only do they not pay you a livable wage, they also don’t even pay enough for the environment you’re working in. You’re often transporting patients with infectious diseases and occasionally you’re exposed to those diseases because of poor nursing staff communication, and you are simply not compensated enough for that.
Flexible scheduling is really just their way of saying they reserve the right to change your schedule at any time. They don’t really care if you have another job and they don’t really care if you’re in school. They need you when they need you. 
They play favorites. Some transporters can ignore jobs in the system and get away with it while others can’t. Some transporters can go buy lunch before actually clocking out for lunch while others I have to clock out first and then go buy lunch. 
You’re expected to push yourself to the point of complete exhaustion but you’re not compensated for that. If you move 10 patients a shift or 30 patients a shift, you’re paid the exact same amount.
I could go on and on about what makes this job horrible. Bottom line, unless you really have no other options, do not work as a patient transporter.

I truly do not even know where to begin. At the start of working with this company, I was ecstatic. I was so exciting to be working in a profession where I truly felt like I belonged. I felt like I was going to make a difference, genuinely  enjoy the work that I did. 
It went absolutely to he** faster than I could have imagined. Management has been called a joke, horrendous, appalling, an embarrassment. Everyone in the hospital that we work at looks at us with disgust. The people that they hire are horrid. ESPECIALLY management. Two out of the three managers for our team are BULLIES to the regular associates. I have never seen the amount of harassment and manipulation that I have seen with these people. I have seen them  fire people based off of diagnosed mental illness, and cover the entire thing up. They have had reports all over the hospital of associates behavior that is absolutely insane, but the managers cover everything up. Associates have been caught taking photos of patients. NOTHING was done. If you try to speak up about what’s going on, they all begin to TARGET you. You are able to move up relatively quickly (why management is God awful), so you quickly get a look of behind the scenes . The amount of things they cover up is an absolute shame. People are not being paid correctly, favoritism, harassment, working 12+ hour shifts with no breaks. There is currently an open investigation on the management in our office due to them wrongfully firing someone and then never paying them. 
I PROMISE you, STAY AWAY. Someone needs to shut the entire program down !!!

A typical day at work is filled with goals that need to be met, which an organized person can easily achieve. I have learned so much through my TouchPoint experience. Courses are offered and can easily fit in a typical work day/week. Many of these courses are offered online. The work culture is what we make it. Management is not afraid to assist associates when needed, and that is what makes the job enjoyable. Creating relationships with all healthcare employees within and outside of TouchPoint. We are all working towards the same goal of helping the patient through their healthcare issues.

A typical day is at 11:30am and i start trayline for lunch for patients and i learned it well and enjoy giveing very good service.The Patient food service manager is ok in my book and but other managers are more beter and but that one really need to hold everybody accountable to a very high standard and not give a free pass just because they have a best friend thats a supervisor there at work that was very rude to me and it appears to other people there with a attitude and get away with it that does not need to ever be tolarated in no work place and the number 3 supervisor on Wednesday October 26 16 is a 2face person and they always pretend as seen by others to be good and then be very bad and there a cancer to my depertment in foodservice and they should of been written up and to the point that they should of been fired and this should be look at and they should be relocated to a place that is beter more fit for her attitude so they know how it feels and have there title of supervisior be gone as they are thinking they are in charge of everyone in deparment and she should never get to be able to give input on how she thinks things should be done.Someone told me the reason why they left because they supervised them and gave to much workk and they didnt give much to other person and found another job and more people will aswell and me if something not done.
