The training first of all is 32 hours a week, you work 6 hours a day. Depending on the pay period you are coming into you most likely will have to wait 3 full weeks until your first pay. If you have anxiety, blood pressure or sugar problems forget it. The environment is so nice and people who train you are easy going and tell you the job is easy mainly because THEIR job is easy. For someone with experience interpreting this will probably be easy for you, but as someone who is expecting to be trained for this job I recommend looking elsewhere, These people put you on the phones on day 6 of training when you dont even know the full process yet. Not to mention the headaches you will get from being in the middle of stressful conversations and not being able to help either party. Overall this job made my existing disabilities worse and forgot to mention they cared 0% about my disabilities nor did they accommodate to mine or anyone elses. I saw people crying on the 6th day of work, throwing up due to stress, and even had a coworker blood sugar drop to where she was nearly passing out. It was extremely clear that for people with issues the pressure of not being trained and being put on the phones in that manner was affecting their health. At no point is it okay for a job to affect your health, and for them to just brush it off. Worst training ever.

When they train you you are literally working the next week.
They dont really prep you well.
You need good prep because you are working from home.
Only way you get to communicate is EMAIL.
when emergency occurs you have to email them immediately.
You probably think that working from home is good idea something very relax you are saving so much time to commute and no need to dress or make up but you will get distracted so easy. And management are like security camera. Watching you if you are taking 15min break very strictly. And if you are fail to keep 15min break you will get minus point. You have 5 point is written. 6 verbal. 7 8 9. 10 you will be fired.

They always encarage you to keep the schedule( but whenever they "encarage" you it sounds like more threat. They are like I'm watching you. You better keep you stupid 15min break.

The first schedule you have contact with them is not permanent  schedul every day light saving begans and ends you have to bid schedule and weather you like or not you have to take that schedule and it's by seniority priority. So if you are new then you will get a worst schedule in the middle of the day. 

And supervisor Lizerh is terrible and worst supervisor ever.
She say one day " bank and branch is 2 different interpretation"

And they listen to you and grade you every week.

The training is decent, however, it does not prepare you for the reality of the position. 
Client rooster is extremely diverse, from food delivery services to government agency level.
The calls come as a total surprise, so as an interpreter you must be super quick and adapt to the terminology at hand (that is all right and part of the job) however, it may get extremely mentally confusing and overwhelming at times
The number of calls per day is intense, at some peak hours you may have calls back to back.
Supervisors are focused only and exclusively on productivity, ok. They are out there to catch you, any, I mean, any "lesser than perfect" occurrences will be severely pointed out.
There is no support for interpreters, you have to be able to work completely on your own, even when it comes to technical potential problems. In short, if you are not very savvy with your tech this job is not for you.
The low pay for the high-stress interpreter position has to be mentioned, hourly rates are absolutely embarrassing.




I had the misfortune of working under inept leadership for a year and a half.  There were unfulfilled promises of raises for a team that had gone above and beyond meeting KPIs and ensured growth for the company. I personally had been advanced to another role with the promise of greater compensation.  Guess what happened?  I worked in the new role but never received the compensation. I have found out that this exact thing had happened to a few of my colleagues as well.  It is a trend.  They are not competitive with compensation and are fine with misleading employees if it helps retain the image that they "promote from within."  Sure, there is a lot of room for growth within the company as long as you don't mind NOT getting paid for your new role LOL!  Save your energy and apply somewhere that is actually invested in employee growth and development and that won't wince when it comes time to pay you what you are worth.

The job itself isn't hard and in general enjoyable if taking call after call with no break in between most of the time does not bother you, however they have a quality control system that seems to be put in place just to stop interpreters from getting their bonuses, if they're offering a sign on bonus or a performance bonus do not think you will get it no matter how hard you work they will find a reason... 
It doesn't matter if its 30 seconds before the end of your shift, if you get a call you have to take it no matter how long it ends up being and doing the opposite will definitely work against you, so do not count on leaving work on time everyday or most days even... 
If you work full time you'll receive okay benefits and a good amount of PTO, but if you are part time they wont waste resources on you, basically part-time workers in this company have very limited rights and accommodations.
My supervisor is amazing, but that is not enough when their managers wont allow them to help you out or provide the right guidance or even information. 


Horrendous company to work with. While there are some good people within the company, mostly the management and higher ups are micromanaging everyone below giving regular employees extreme conditions to be met that are not able to be attainable. They will find an excuse to exclude you from their little group and will only promote those who kiss up to them. No experience in management, you get liked by the main boss you have the option to be a manager. It doesn't matter if you just got there, if you have experience interpreting or in call centers management. Many employees come and go and they dont care in providing job security to the few employees that have continued to stay there through thick and thin. No tenure is respected either. They dont care about the employees and will definitely let you know  by making up random reasons as to why you are not meeting goals. The pay is way below average for the work we do. 

Unfortunately that's about it. Everything else about this company is garbage. 
You have unassigned seating so every day is a toss up on whether or not you will have a desk. If you sign up for OT but give them minimum of 2 hours notice you can't work the OT but will work your schedule shift: still get written up and taken off assignments. Most other interpreters you work with are fairly nice and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. Which is nice but it's only because you don't want management knowing anything about you because of how conniving and spiteful they are. Recognitions from customers? Great but don't get too many otherwise management will make sure you don't get compensated by making you "ineligible".
Basically, nonsense. You are also timed during a bathroom break and if you're in there longer than 4 minutes someone goes into the bathroom to "check on you".

The place seems to ignore the professional people and promote those who are at least qualified! The quality control people do not speak the target language well. Some professional interpreters were bullied and given a hard time! The new manager of the center admitted that he knew nothing about the industry. He brought his girlfriend from a different company and put her as his assistant. She also did not know anything about the industry. They were coming up with ridiculous rules that made the work of the interpreters very difficult. Many supervisors were new immigrants from Somalia, Mexico, other countries, who did not speak English well. It was absolutely pointless to approach them with any problems. They were not only unable to resolve the problem, but could not even understand what the problem was! These are only a few of the multiple problems with the company!

The call volume is incredibly high, almost no breaks, no time to breathe between calls,  micromanaging to the extreme. The training for the actual interpreting they want is not clear cut. The expectations for quality changes without notice or consideration for real time situations during calls.. benefits seem ok at first but you're hardly approved even if you request in advanced. The attendance policy is extreme only 7% absences are aloud in a 6 month period which is barely a week and a half. There are no such things as raises and the starting pay is the same as what I started with many years ago. There is plenty of overtime but even with time and a half you have to work yourself to the bone to make a half decent living. 

$15 an hour for very stressful work. You only get 2 15 minutes break and a 30 minute lunch break. No other bathroom breaks or down time. You are expected to take call after call with no more than 10-13 seconds in between. All of the supervisors, IT staff, and HR workers are rude. During training you are promised double holiday pay, breaks whenever you need them but none of that is true once you get assigned a supervisor. The software constantly has issues so you have to clock out to troubleshoot system errors that are in no way your fault. It’s great place to get good at being bilingual fast but you have to figure most of it out on your own because nobody ever has time to answer your questions or help you. Just concerned with getting the most out of you for as little pay as possible. Offer monthly bonuses but quality team never lets you score high enough to get these bonuses. Good for temporary employment only.
