PROS: 
The product is amazing
There are a few very kind, supportive, very intelligent people. 
It's face paced
OCS specialist role is probably excellent fit for a young single person. Who can get up and go on a whim without any responsibilities

CONS:
Many of the intelligent employees are far from kind, speak very unprofessionally to and about employees and there is without a doubt a significant amount of workplace bullying. But when it's coming from the top there's really nothing that's going to change the environment.
They want you to be available 24/7, little vacation time, no boundaries for personal life.
Salary definitely wasn't in line with job responsibilities and time commitment.
Interview process did not accurately relay expectations of the position of the specialist.
HR is impossible to reach.
No match for 401k

Organ Directors micromanage EVERYTHING and make paranoid and not supportive

Where to begin... The mission is rewarding and the device are innovative. Outside of that, while some of upper management is brilliant, they belittle others and fail to regulate their emotions. Nepotism keeps them there. 

The regional directors vary by region. Some are promoted based on length of employment but have never managed their emotions, talk less other people. The micromanagement is unbearable, and the unexpected changes often are not backed with logic or open for discussion when proven to be inefficient. Working in one region can make or break your experience working here. 

Rest time is not respected. Policies change but are never written down for reference. Just because upper management cannot respect boundaries, does not mean your staff should follow this toxic culture.

While a challenging work environment can be a deterrence for many, there’s no doubt our work is incredibly rewarding in an emotionally charged field of organ transplantation. When you are literally saving lives and every minute counts, efficiency, competence, and judgment are of utmost importance. 

Those that thrive in this environment enjoy being challenged and demonstrate tenacity in their work and personal lives. They are always striving for something better and feel confident they can achieve. They aren’t afraid of ambiguity and able to let go of what they can’t control while delivering the very best in their area.

The days are always different and require the ability to be flexible managing both reactive and strategic needs. We are fast-paced and “all in”! 

I work on temporary assignment (tru John Galt Staffing).
This company designed and manufactures Organ Care
Systems : "Heart In A Box" and is working on other amazing Life Prolonging innovations.
The company suffered a minor setback (financially), which caused them to reduce manpower.
The company is much stronger, now, and is testing thier products in major hospitals in Massachusette and other state with the F.D.A. 's approval. They have been selling thier O.C.S. systems in european countries, with the approval of the governing bodies in the various contries.

I left a position I was perfectly happy at to join Transmedics, but after a few weeks of working there I knew it was not a good fit for me. My manager and co-workers bust their humps, but had very little time to do any hand holding for a new employee. I was expected to take the ball and run after a few quick overview meetings. The immediate autonomy in the role was unexpected and I felt I was tossed into the deep end without much direction. Luckily I was able to get rehired at my previous company and leave before I drowned. 

Life saving technology revolutionizing the field of organ donation. Challenging projects and sometimes unrealistic expectations. No culture to speak of, no team building activities. The CEO is overbearing and someone you don't want to cross. 

Leadership and management positions need to be handed over to business people who can grow the company.  They are great researchers and clinicians but not in managing people and growing people.   They dont know how to apply lean principle and a lot of waste in every business aspect was observed hence the amount of lay offs they have done recently.

- Decent compensation
- No set schedule, days in the office pop up with short notice
- Management isn't great.

Management is very unprofessional and overly personal. Will not give promotions or raises until people started quitting in bulk. Will monitor you the whole shift making you feel uncomfortable. Makes you feel invaluable like you can be easily replaced, it’s the main reason why no one stays there for long. 

I thoroughly enjoyed working there.  The team I worked with was very professional and like a family. The managers were always helpful and wanted everyone to succeed.  I felt like I was making a difference in my career. It was a fast paced job with a great schedule.
