I enjoy working for a leader who makes themselves available, but gives me the space to do my work in the way that's best for me.
I love being in a role where I can connect with travelers and experience their highs & lows with them. I've made friends that I otherwise would have never met. 
The emphasis on being honest and forthcoming is what sets this agency apart from others. We're strongly encouraged to explain the cons along with the pros, so we don't inadvertently paint a picture that's all sunshine and rainbows. 
Knowing that my job is to put the traveler's best interest first, motivates me to work harder, to continuously do right by them. 
This job is incredibly challenging, the hours can run long, you'll experience setbacks that make you want to scream/cry. Working hard to place someone at their dream job, only to have them ghost you and leave you with back out fines from the facility, can leave you discouraged (if you let it) and exasperated, BUT the pros far outweigh the cons. Receiving pictures from travelers on the road & hearing they love their assignment is rewarding beyond measure. 

Toxic micromanagement makes you feel like you can’t do anything without being constantly reprimanded for the smallest, dumbest thing and everything you do is never good enough. Makes the job more stressful than it really should be. Management has to be involved in everything, and I mean everything! Almost like you can’t even breathe without permission. Zero sense of trust, even when you produce consistent results every week, hit all deadlines, and meet all of their constantly growing list of nonsense demands. Incredibly cliquey and gossipy environment. Training is useless as management changes their minds on what they expect every other day. Expect nothing but incompetence from everyone at this place as no one knows how to do their job and expects you to do it for them, management included. They would also rather harbor known problematic, toxic management than keep good workers. Just an absolute joke. You feel more like a cog in a machine than you do a person because that’s exactly how they treat you. Just another corporate nightmare wrapped up in the occasional pizza parties and ping pong tables. If you value your mental and physical health at all, stay far away!!!

I am a clinical liaison with Triage and I work at home.  I was unsure if I would like this position as I had always worked in a hospital, but Triage is an amazing place to work and I am proud to be part of their team.  I have the opportunity to talk to nurses on a daily basis, be it safety concerns, just needing to vent, or to conduct interviews.  I also assist with exposure-related issues and assisting nurses to pass tests required by facilities.  If I have questions, there is always someone to turn to in the company, and if you just want to take a minute to chat with someone in the company, you can do that, too.  Triage is focused on teamwork.  The hardest part of my job is when there is not much going on, but I will then ask for extra duties, such as revising documents.  I would recommend this company to travelers and anyone who is thinking about being a recruiter or going into the sales department - and compliance.  Everyone works together and everyone is there for you if you need them.  It is quite a change from floor nursing, but the common thing with the two is I know I am making a difference in the lives of so many nurses.  This is an extremely rewarding career.

To start: I can't indorse my recruiter for Triage Staffing, enough. His responsiveness, dedication, and willingness to work with me is second to none. He is fantastic at his job and he truly cares that the people he recruits to Triage are happy, with excellent opportunities in their traveling career to boot. 

My recruiter placed me at a local hospital ophthalmology clinic where, on a day-to-day basis, I am able to apply my skills as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician in a very team-friendly setting. In my first traveling placement, my coworkers and recruiter have gone above and beyond in helping me navigate the intricacies of traveling allied health employment.

Any mishaps by the company, especially in the form of pay statements, are addressed and remedied very promptly and efficiently. 

Though the opportunities may not be as frequent as some other traveling positions, like in nursing or other allied health roles, I intend to work for Triage Staffing as long as I can. 





Triage is defined by our culture, REAL and Ready.  It's that simple.  People here are always helping and supporting each other.  The executives and upper management are down to earth, normal and extremely approachable folks.  They understand the entire organization is only as good as the folks who live and breath the day to day operation and representation of the company.  That is why Triage has some of the most amazing people and continues to grow without limits. Our reputation is as real and ready as our people.  

I love working at Triage. I really wish that I would have started my career here. I have worked at two other staffing agencies and I can confidently say, Triage is the place for me. It is a great place to work with many great people. I feel that Triage pays me very fairly and the benefits here are great. I love that I can do my job 100% remote - it is such a big reason why I love my job. I also really admire the culture that Triage has built - it is truly a very unique workplace - in the best way. Sometimes I catch myself forgetting I am working a job because I am enjoying myself so much. Of course, since it is a job, it can become stressful at times but that comes with the staffing territory. I am very excited for my future with Triage and to see how we continue to grow!

Frequent radical decisions being made from the top that felt spontaneous and unplanned. The trajectory of this company is never clear. They did recurrent “bulk layoffs” in the time I was there. While I understand businesses need to make financial decisions that don’t always go in employees favor, this particular company seems to make scrambled, desperate decisions while trying to stay afloat. 
Additionally they do their layoffs “execution style”. They pick a day and one by one lay off a bulk of good, quality employees. It was a true mind game during these days. Watching your coworkers getting let go while you’re a sitting duck wondering if you’re next was difficult. These types of days happened often enough that overtime everyday became a day of uncertainty. 

Starting at Triage, I was stepping way outside my comfort zone. I didn't have a lot of past experience, but Triage chose me for my position and helped me build on my current abilities. Thanks to Triage I've been able to return to school to pursue my degree. Not only has the compensation been so great that I'm able to pay for tuition out-of-pocket, but they have also been super flexible with me so I am able to take classes in-person that aren't available to take online. 
The people at Triage care about your well being, and they take notice when things seem off. Management does a great job at making you feel important and a necessary component to the office. Starting a job at Triage was one of the best decisions I've made in some time, and I can't wait to see where they take me next!

You can take time off by scheduling emergencies with the facility contractor or have it written into your contract ( for instance, you want three days off at a specific time to attend a child’s graduation). You can take a low hourly salary and a higher per diem which saves lots in taxes. You can network with other travelers and find the best places to stay and places to go. I’ve met so many wonderful people traveling. Some places want you to stay permanently which you can do if you don’t mind the pay cut. You have to have a good attitude and work ethic as in: be on time, leave on time, find extra jobs to do at your assignment that relieves the permanent staff. 

I am new to Triage (2 mos), but what I've experienced thus far is extremely positive. Triage has a very supportive upper management who does not micromanage and truly wants you to succeed and feel rewarded along the way. Lots of opportunities to grow and they compensate their employees well! You can tell they really CARE about their employees.  I love that you can have a combo of in-office and work from home! That was very important to me. Great work/life balance too - work hard, play hard! Lots of food days & fun events, plus you can't leave out ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, or the beer fridge! 😉
