Imagine starting a new role and being given minimal direction.  There are no established procedures, no training manuals, and no one to guide you through the essential tasks and processes. You're left to figure things out on your own, potentially making mistakes and wasting valuable time. This can lead to frustration, a steep learning curve, and a feeling of being unsupported.  It also creates inconsistency, as different employees might develop different methods for accomplishing the same task, leading to inefficiencies and potential errors.  A well-structured onboarding process with clear documentation is crucial for employee success and overall team productivity.

"And hope you love Google Sheets because everything is manual and nothing automated." This highlights a reliance on outdated, inefficient processes.  In today's technological landscape, many tasks can be automated, saving time and reducing the risk of human error.  The statement suggests that Trimble is lagging behind in adopting automation tools and technologies.  A heavy reliance on manual data entry in Google Sheets can be incredibly time-consuming, tedious, and prone to mistakes.  It also prevents employees from focusing on more strategic, value-added work.  This lack of automation can hinder productivity and innovation.

"I made a few suggestions to automate and these were quickly shot down. Demoralizing." This is a clear indication of a company culture that may be resistant to change or innovation.  When employees' ideas for improvement are dismissed without consideration, it can be incredibly demoralizing.  It creates a sense that their contributions are not valued and discourages them from sharing future suggestions. This kind of environment stifles creativity and prevents the company from improving its processes.  It can also lead to employee disengagement and turnover.

"Would not recommend Trimble as you will not get the support you require. Better jobs out there." This is a strong statement of dissatisfaction with the company's support system.  It suggests that employees are not receiving the resources, training, or assistance they need to succeed in their roles.  This could include a lack of mentorship, inadequate technical support, or a general lack of responsiveness from management.  The phrase "better jobs out there" implies that the employee believes other companies offer a more supportive and fulfilling work environment. •	Planned complex, business changing high level projects by assessing possible project risks and managed scope changes to deliver projects within agreed time constraints and cost.

•	 Project Manager and implementation specialist for Latin America, US, and Australia projects.
•	 Achieved becoming Subject Matter Expert (SME) in various developing Trimble Products as go to resource/liaison internally/externally, and helped develop various training matrixes.

There is good work life balance.  No one here is going you to challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and learn new things, you will have to develop your own continuing education plan and implement it on your own.  There are silos, politics, and turf wars, poor communication between people, teams, and divisions.  There is a lot of offshoring.  Not much in terms of individual, team or management accountability.  Limited career growth potential, unless you want to go from hands on software engineer to a paper pushing manager.  They will tell you that you can cross transfer to other departments, but most of the time, other departments hire from outside of the company because of the shell games and bureaucracy involved with getting an open req.  Once you get out of your team's bullpen, its a big corporate hedge fund.  If your division doesn't do well for the street, there will be layoffs - like other large Delaware corporations.

The turnover rate for this position is very high. You will see people working with you for a couple of months and the next thing you know, they are gone. If you are in the hospital and you couldn't make it to work or email the staff that you can't make it, your contract will be terminated and you'll be fired.

The friends you make here will be friends for a lifetime and genuinely the highlight of working there. 

You will hear that onboarded could start from 6-12 months after you start but many people I know worked there for over a year and haven't been onboarded yet so they're still contract workers and can be let go at any time.

If you have a problem with a customer or can't solve the issue, management are little to no help because they will just direct you to the leads.

This place has potential if management start treating their employees like humans and not a "number"

Stay away from AG department!

Aside from that, Trimble really is a great place to develop your career. Great benefits, great culture, flexible work environment, good people that you can be friends with! I have life long friends and colleges that are part of my life forever. That is something very unique and hard to find! I enjoyed being able to take long lunch breaks to ride my bike and make up the hours later. As long as you get your hours in and do excellent work, you will succeed! 

OK... the AG part.... 
Test engineer in AG that was interested in developing into more of a developer role. AG leadership pigeonholed test engineers with no interest in developing a person with interest in moving beyond testing. This was common in this specific department. They were more interested in hiring new rather than developing within. Poor leadership in my opinion. I also found out they hired and brought in new fresh out of college people with almost zero experience getting paid more than a 5+ year seasoned engineer. So, my motivation was lost in this department and had to move on. Sad to leave, but the AG culture did not facilitate growth or a reason to continue to work hard for them. 

So... Stay away from AG, but the other departments are excellent to work for! Would have been 5 stars, but AG was a falling star.

I worked at PeopleNet full-time (More than 3 years)

There is a lot of talk about the kind of company Peoplenet (now Trimble Transportation) is. Innovative. Best-in-class. Supportive of new ideas. An industry leader working to help fleet managers and truckers. Four times a year we’d sit through the two-hour long all-hands meetings and listen to this, then turn to one another and say “Wow, wouldn’t it be great to work for a company like that?”
 All the good things about the place seem to be either accidental or a legacy from when it was a small company. The C-levels talk a good game, but it’s wise not to believe it.

There is complete disconnect at all levels of the company.
In my career I’ve seen silos in companies where divisions are walled off from one another, including one place where two virtually identical products were being developed for the same customer group by two separate divisions, neither knowing about the other. But hands down, this company is the most disconnected of any I have seen. C-level VPs have no idea what …

It is a pretty good place to work.  The people that I encountered through the whole facility were great and helpful.  As for the pay, it is not the best, but not the worst either.  In the office area, there is not much given when it comes to annual raises, only about 2%, but you before COVID, you would get a raise not sure about now.  Your work time is very fast paced and you don't have much time to keep up on your work if you take any time off.  About 95% of your work time is on your regular work, so if you want to move up and learn new things there is not much time for that unless you are favored. Although It is possible to learn new things, you will get behind on your regular work as you are responsible for it.  I worked there four years and COVID really changed a lot and not for the good.

A typical workday for me is to come in and help our customers (other employee's at Trimble) with any issues they are having with our systems or change orders. I have learned to use so many different tools like Cognos, Oracle, Smartsheet, Agile Product Governance & Compliance Module 9.3.3 – Administrator/Compliance/Conflict Minerals Manager. I can get along with anyone and I enjoy working with my coworkers, except for one because she tries to get me in trouble with my boss by making things up. The hardest part of my job is when we are at quarter end, because we get an influx of tickets and some of them are new ones that I have not handled before. But I love the hard tickets because I learn something new. The most enjoyable part is helping people with any issues, I am a people person and love speaking with them day to day.

This company was strange, the training was minimal and you need to look everything up on how to do your job from training docs.  The hands on training terrible (because it's minimal), the people skills in my dept. terrible.  Being yelled at and bad attitude if you ask questions on how to do the job or have questions.  Prayed to get out of this place and quick!  Temp employees never staying, people are always being let go.  I felt like I was being bullied by grown ups, never have I been treated like I was at this place.  I have worked in Government, Aerospace industries and never have I been trained or treated like they treated me here. 
Open floor, no privacy, can hear everyone's conversations.  Loud workplace, people talking about each other and their work habits, how they are going to review their work and the scores they are going to give them and why, very uncomfortable and strange.

Trimble was unlike any organization I have ever been involved with, in an extremely positive way!  

Trimble gives their employees a vision of the objective that the company would like to accomplish.  It is up to the employee to search out and utilize the tools necessary to accomplish the end goal.  The employee must lay out their own path to reaching the goal.  Management is very "hands off" as long as the employee is operating within the company's well defined code of conduct and ethics.  Mentoring is available if the employee requests it.  

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Trimble. It took me some time to adjust to the culture, but came to embrace the ideology.  As long as I had a plan of execution, I was never denied resources or support.
