I’ve been in healthcare for 10+, the bullying by management was something I thought was no longer aloud, boy was I wrong! I was bullied and harassed daily by my director. I made two different HR complaints to help get some resolve. After, she returned from her vacation she found out about the second complaint and fired me! How is that fair!! Never any issue with me as an employee. She stated that my computer issues like the internet being slow or having to restart my computer was too much and I needed to be let go. Mind you same thing happens to her her than me ever! She missed plenty of morning meetings bc computer issues. It happens! See she couldn’t  fire me so making me miserable was the next best thing. She gave me the job that was once held by two other employees hoping to make things miserable enough for me to quit. Her actions towards me were so Outrageous and clear and every single one of the staff members I worked with would comment how much she hated me. I have called corporate office and made multiple complaints with my HR department. They do not care they allow this kind of discrimination. If you compare me to my other coworkers I stick out like a sore thumb looks in age wise I’m quite a bit different than my other coworkers let’s just say it’s clear why I was an easy target for an insecure middle-age middle-age  woman to take her frustrations, or project he of unhappy life out on me with no recourse from Trinity‘s corporate or HR departments. I worked at trinity for awhile before this person came on board. Before this time never once an issue of my behavior or job performance. I remember one time being told that I was rude to an individual on a recorded call. I demanded the call be reviewed by a third-party. Anyone who knows me knows that is not my nature. But this person was aloud to say whatever she wanted It didn’t matter if there was proof to her lies they continue to support her. Do not expect you will be treated fairly or with dignity. My supervisor would lie about all kinds of false statements and try to write me up I would send actual emails written proof about her lies and nothing. I was the only one on my team with four “projects” going on five. Where as everyone else had one and back-up person or people to assist if needed. Like I said I had 5, and no back help at all! How as an HR do you look at that and say oh seems fair, she not being mistreated at all! What a joke! I’m actually relieved to be separated from them I don’t want to be with a company who allows such bad toxic behavior. They are light years behind other corporations in the same field who have zero tolerance policy‘s regarding this behavior.  They said they do but they do NOT enforce any kind of workplace fairness at all!! It’s about being professional and doing the job at hand. Not taking your own unhappiness out on others bc you can. But don’t take my word for it experience it if you want you will never be so stressed and your life. That is just treatment for management it would take me hours to get onto the actual structure of the company and how poorly the communication in the actual day-to-day runs. I remember starting my first week and going home and crying asking myself why did I leave my job for this place?! Regardless I put a brave face on and did my best work for myself it’s called integrity. It is a trait clearly this company does not admire. 

I worked days and then switched to overnights so a day @ work differed depending on shift. Taking care of residents, assisting w/ADL's, assisting w/feeding, bathing, dressing, comforting & supporting my residents. Anything I could do for them.

I learned that not all residents are alike, they all have different needs/wants, just like you or I. I learned that you must be patient, they're trying their absolute best and some days may be better than others for them.

Management: All I can do is give my opinion here and it just seemed like anytime I looked for Management, I could never find any of them. I've witnessed one in particular walk through the units & co-workers would try to get his/her attention and he/she just continued walking as if he/she did not "hear anything or anyone trying to get his/her attention". I don't believe that's very professional and it just gives off "bad vibes" when you're made to feel like your Management isn't there for you.

Workplace Culture: Again...my opinion only...I think there could definitely be some improvements in the management dept, constructive conflict resolution I would say is pretty good. It was just hard tracking down "most" management but when you could, they were helpful & fair for the most part. I do believe the employee turnover rate was probably on the lower side compared to many other facilities. I do believe there was a lot of "office politics" unfortunately. I myself, heard several "office employees" talking unprofessional about other staff whether it be RN's, CNA's, CRMA's, Management, etc...I dont believe anyone was left out. 

The hardest part of my day/night was trying not to take work home w/me. Yes, they say "you shouldn't get attached" but when you're w/someone day in/day out, you can't help but get attached (if you're truly there for the right reasons). I did not like seeing my residents struggle, be uncomfortable, in pain, & know that there's very minimal I can do to help them. I just always did my very best to comfort them, console them, give them someone to talk to and just be there for them & make them feel listened to and make them feel safe at all times.

The most enjoyable part of my day/night is obviously bringing a smile to my residents faces and seeing there faces light up when they would see me! That would make my day! I am a nurturer by nature so it comes naturally to me, I treat all my residents as if they we're my own family there needing help. Unfortunately, sometimes us Healthcare workers are all some of them have. Some don't receive visitors from loved ones and it's truly heartbreaking. I honestly do try and go that "extra mile" by trying to spend some 1 on 1 time w/each of my residents. It makes my heart feel so good to know that maybe that 5 minutes I spent 1 on 1 w/each resident made a positive impact on their day/night.

My recent encounter with this Home Care Company left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with their unrealistic expectations toward their nurses. The company's approach to their nursing staff showcased a blatant disregard for their well-being and set impossible standards that hindered the quality of care provided.

First and foremost, this Home Care Company placed unreasonable demands on their nurses, expecting them to perform an excessive workload within unrealistic timeframes. Nurses were consistently assigned an overwhelming number of patients, leaving them with insufficient time to provide adequate care to each individual. This resulted in rushed visits, compromised attention to patients' needs, and ultimately, a decline in the quality of care delivered. It is deeply concerning that the company prioritized quantity over quality, disregarding the welfare and safety of both patients and nurses.

Moreover, this Home Care Company exhibited a lack of appreciation and support for their nursing staff. Nurses were expected to work long hours without proper breaks or adequate time for self-care. The company failed to address the physical and emotional toll that such demanding schedules had on their nurses, leading to burnout and reduced job satisfaction. The lack of a supportive and nurturing work environment ultimately hindered the ability of the nursing staff to perform at their best, compromising the overall care provided to patients.

Furthermore, the company's management displayed a lack of understanding and empathy towards their nurses' concerns. When issues were raised regarding workload, unrealistic expectations, or the need for assistance, they were met with dismissive responses and a lack of action. The management's failure to address these concerns only added to the frustration and dissatisfaction felt by the nursing staff, further exacerbating the negative impact on patient care.

In addition, this Home Care Company exhibited poor communication and a lack of transparency. Important information regarding patient conditions, changes in care plans, or updates on policies was often withheld or inadequately conveyed to the nursing staff. This lack of clear communication hindered the nurses' ability to provide the best possible care, as they were left uninformed and unprepared to address the evolving needs of their patients.

Overall, my experience with thisHome Care Company left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the well-being of both their nursing staff and patients. Their unrealistic expectations, lack of support, dismissive management, and poor communication have undoubtedly compromised the quality of care provided. I strongly caution against engaging their services and encourage seeking an alternative home care company that prioritizes realistic expectations, fosters a supportive work environment, and genuinely values the well-being of both their nurses and patients.


The most enjoyable part of my job is that I am helping prepare patients for upcoming appts and making sure their insurance is entered accurately and eligible to prevent billing errors and insure patients are billed correctly during difficult times/testing/ appointments. Initially I loved my job. I get to work from home and it’s nice to not have to commute or inquire extra expenses traveling to work eating out etc. As time has progressed I feel as though I am just a number and not valued. I have never worked for a company that does nothing for its employees for holidays (even a card would have been nice) we were actually told we maybe able to leave early around holidays and then told day of no they need us to work as much as we could to get ahead.Training has lacked  and it seems that things are just expected to be known even if it was never taught to begin with. I think that as far as working from home in areas they lack support or understanding.It seems like rules and things get changed constantly along the way. When power is out or emergency situations it comes out of pto time instead of being able to make it up (even if it’s unpreventable which to me feels like a punishment for uncontrollable situations) We are often supposed to have meetings but if they aren’t canceled it feels rushed to get us back to working and meeting our productivity levels. It seems that quantity of work is valued over quality as they very much will remind you to make sure you are hitting numbers but have not once actually reviewed or went over quality of accts or provided any training or feedback from initial hire. I think one of the most important things in an employer is to feel like apart of a team and be recognized for all that you do.I just do not see that here and it can be discouraging when you work very hard and at the end of day just feel like a body or a number. The communications I have had with my manager are just short to the point and matter of factish to the point I don’t want to go to them with issues or concerns 

Typical day at work:
A typical day in the OBGYN clinic is definitely fast-paced, but very patient-centered. I room patients, take vitals, review medical history, assist with exams and procedures, prepare lab specimens, document in the EMR, and help keep clinic flow moving smoothly. Some days are busier than others, but there’s always a steady rhythm of multitasking and teamwork to make sure patients are cared for efficiently.

What I learned:
Working at Trinity Health has helped me grow a lot professionally. I’ve strengthened my clinical skills, time management, and communication — especially in sensitive women’s health situations. I’ve learned how important adaptability is in healthcare and how much teamwork impacts the overall patient experience.

Management:
Management is structured and focused on productivity and patient satisfaction. Expectations are clear, and there are established systems in place to keep things running efficiently. Like most healthcare environments, support can sometimes depend on staffing and volume, but patient safety and quality care are clearly priorities.

Workplace culture:
The culture is professional and patient-focused. It can be high-paced at times, but there is a strong sense of teamwork between providers, nurses, and medical assistants. Everyone understands that collaboration is essential in a specialty like OBGYN.

The hardest part of the job:
The most challenging part is balancing a high patient volume while still making sure each patient feels heard and supported. OBGYN can be very personal and sometimes emotional, so maintaining efficiency while giving compassionate care takes focus and energy.

The most enjoyable part of the job:
The most rewarding part is being able to support patients through important and sometimes life-changing moments. Whether it’s routine visits or prenatal care, it feels meaningful to be part of their healthcare journey and help create a positive experience.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working at this company is the hours , it’s Monday- Friday so you get to enjoy your weekends off. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The MOST stressful thing about this job is the management, the amount of call volume per day and the mentally draining it causes. It’s a work from home position However, this job doesn’t allow you to get up out of your seat. The calls are NON STOP for 8hours straight and if you spend to much time in the restroom (5mins) , the management team will reach out and ask why you where in there so long. They don’t approve ANY PTO hours even if you put them in months in advance. They give out written penalties to their employees even if they have a medical accommodation. They also force you to put your kids in daycare even if you have in home childcare within another room of the house. The lack of sympathy they have for their employees who work everyday for a VERY intense and stressful position is the reason the turn around rate at this company has gone up tremendously within the last year. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful and frustrating. None is here to help when you need it , it takes 10mins to get assistance on a call and after being on a call for so long management will reach out and ask why you were on a call for so long. They only care about the phones being answered and payment being collected. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start at 8am , first call by 8:01am and nonstop calls from there on out until clock out at 4:30pm. There’s only a 30min lunch and they say you get 2 10min breaks a day but you never actually get to take them because they aren’t scheduled or appointed to each employee to know when to take them. They also try to recruit people to skip their lunch just to answer the phones because they rather us work like slaves to the phone than to make sure we get our breaks each day.

Management is condescending and believes what they want to hear and see. The new nurse orientation is an absolute joke. It is disorganized and new orientees are left to figure most things out on their own. When things are brought to management's attention, they basically call you a liar, as if there is any motive to make up how the training program is being handled. Any new nurse wants support and for their orientation to go as smooth as possible, but that is not how it works there. If a new nurse asks questions regarding the preceptorship, the department manager will throw in your face that you have a nursing license, right? You've given medications before, right? This atmosphere does not support new grads in any aspect. They also never give any positive feedback. A little support and encouragement goes along way! 

They preach how supportive the agency is during orientation but when an issue arises, management is the LAST place an employee should seek out for help and support. They are quick to turn a blind eye to the truth and believe one side of the story. This is an unsafe place to work and quickly became a place I was not willing to lose my license at. They treat their new graduate nurses as if they've all been nurses for 5+ years. It is a sink or swim training environment. 

This is not the place for anyone new that expects a solid foundation as a nurse. God forbid a new nurse actually wants to be trained and have the ability to ask questions and trust that management is on their side. That does not happen at St. Joe's Pontiac. You are left to stand alone and figure it out on your own which is highly unsafe for any new nurse. There are much more supportive and safer places to start out a nursing career. This is not one of them.

The company is great for getting your foot in the door. There are several advancement opportunities and they come up frequently, but it is extremely competitive and they will turn you down for minor things such as not being confident enough in your interview. The work is very monotonous, this is partly due to how the roles are broken down in some departments. At least 3 people could touch something when realistically it only needs to be 1 or 2 people. There is very little genuine praise for hard work, and it becomes less and less as time goes on. Morale is very low, and even when expressed they do nothing to try and change it. Several of the “fun” events and awards they would do have slowly diminished over time, and you can feel the department dynamic changing to everyone being careless about their job. Your whole experience does depend on the team you are apart of, as with anywhere else, but even a good team can turn bad quickly when people start advancing and moving around.

The benefits are good, and you get a fair amount of PTO time however it is earned over time. They are flexible with schedule changes and time off as needed, and the attendance policy is fair. Pay is fair for the job expectations and being a non profit. 

The company promotes a very understanding and relaxed culture, which is great but is not taken seriously by all management which makes it hard to instill in employees. Job expectations are not really enforced, and it hurts morale when there is no true incentive to do a good job or go above and beyond when someone who barely does the bare minimum gets the same treatment or advancement as someone who goes above and beyond.

It wasn’t a bad place to work per say they had good healthcare benefits and they had self scheduling which was nice but they can change it. They do rotating holidays but you could switch with someone if needed. If you don’t have a good support system and personal habits for stress reduction it can be really easy to get burnt out. They are getting better at their zero tolerance policy for violent patients and visitors but it’s definitely a work in progress.
The hospital itself didn’t really show appreciation for nurses week you got an ice cream sandwich or a cheese stick which are on the unit and if you weren’t there when they were handing them out you got nothing. The hospital is kind of cheap. 
If your floor is staffed well you can expect to get pulled to other floors often especially on nights. 
The nurse residency program for new grads had some helpful tips but was mostly a waste of time. 
I wish they had better security most of them were nice but there’s not like a medal detector or anything kind of scary. Some people’s cars got broken into in the parking lot but it wasn’t a major problem. I worked there for under two years and I think it happened twice. 
PTO and sick leave are the same thing which stinks it accumulates as your working.
The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the difference you’re making in people’s lives. Some floors can be cliquey but I thought it was easy to make friends.
The hardest part of the job was getting floated to other units and the burnout I feel like almost everyone that I talked to was burned out to some degree.
Management is different per floor I thought my manager was really nice and understanding when you had personal things come up. 

Trinity was trying to move the Billing and A/R from several billing offices across the United States into 3 locations, restructure the job titles/duties of current staff, hire hundreds of new employees, and upgrade to a new billing system all in a short timeline. The results were not good in any area. Current staff took on new job titles with more work, more staff to oversee and new employees coming on board every 2 weeks that needed training. Short timelines and lack of preparation made each outside billing acquisition very difficult. Rushing to get payer access, no training on new insurances and billing guidelines in various states and no processes in place to communicate with the facility departments to have corrections made in coding/charge entry were just a few of the obstacles. The job title restructure added more duties for Supervisors and the pay increase that was given was not comparable to the amount of work that was required. The mass hiring lead to many employees hired with NO BILLING EXPERIENCE and overall poor work ethic making training very difficult for the Supervisors as new staff were coming onboard every 2 weeks. Lastly, the build of the new system was not done efficiently. They did not have processes in place for the many variations due to payer requirements and complex billing. I left before Go Live of the new billing system. I was already working 60+ hours a week with my "new" Supervisor job title and that being changed to a salary position didn't entice me to stay and see what challenges we would face (and the additional hours I would have to work) once they implemented the new billing software.
