What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked at one of there off site hvc east locations. The doctors by far are the best part of the job there caring they don’t look down on you and they treat you as a person.. they appreciate everything you do to help make there jobs easier..

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being over worked and management/MA lead not even caring.. can’t go to management or HR with any concerns because there in cohorts with each other.. so hr is are ready on managements side before you even talk to them.. the MA lead will sit in her office all day and not even get on the floor to help out instead she will pull people off of there charts so she won’t have to get on the a work.. management keeps you from transferring to the hospital to work or any other location.. your just a body there.. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
HVC ‘s work environment and culture is very different than the actual hospital.. HVC will tell you we are not apart of Mount Carmel hospital so there rules don’t apply to us.. what they’re allowed to do at the hospital you can’t do with HVC

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was like being in high school all over again. If your not in the cool group then your just screwed and over worked..

This workplace is very loud and many of the individuals, like me, are getting ready to leave for retirement within the next year or two. The mentality is very "my team will carry me to the finish line" so those that work hard are used until they leave for better work. Since the company is a non-profit, the pay is not very good and the management is very inexperienced. You are expected to work until you hate your environment and you constantly feel overwhelmed. Many of the managers and staff are uneducated and have little motivation to do anything except talk about personal things or go on their facebook accounts. The turn over rate is extremely high because people either are promoted very quickly (if they are hard workers) or they leave for better paying work and better management structure. You are either met with a manager that is always down your throat or a manager that is never there. If you are able to get into management this is a great place, but anything other than management is really lackluster. I've been here for years and I really dislike everything, but the PTO is hard to pass up and they are great with letting us take off for medical leaves. It is the best part of being there.

Initially had such high hopes for this organization.   THS hired a group of people for their new Neighborhood Hospital in St. Clairsville, Ohio.   Training was at Trinity West in Steubenville.  This was somewhat tolerable, except when they would make your schedule as miserable as possible.  Onboarding was abysmal.  Computer accounts took weeks to be accessible - and none of them were ready at the same time!    Manager and Supervisor were adament about employees following the chain of command - and be ready for the heat of you did not follow this rule.   We had a serious issue in our work area that wasn't being addressed, so when it was brought to higher ups, the shtf.    They did everything they could to find miniscule things that you did wrong, or in some cases, send an email scolding you for something you actually did NOT do, only to apologize for "looking at the wrong week, sorry!"   It got ridiculous, really quick.   There was never anything positive to say, only criticism.  Morale reflected this with our group - wasn't only me.   You felt like a dog that just kept getting kicked over and over.    Based on what I experienced, it is no wonder they need employees.  

While compensation is great due to Trinity Health being a non-profit organization with seemly unlimited amount of funds made available to them, the management team is stagnant, outdated and self-centered. The primary objective of management is to keep their jobs at any cost. They are not interested with keeping up with the current practice guidelines or helping anyone advance their career. Young employees are treated with disrespect and as subordinate to literally SENIOR leadership who looks down on anyone who is young and fresh out of school. They find young, motivated and bright people particularly threatening to their old-school train of thought and conduct. The meetings are painful, extremely outdated and very unproductive. Pharmacy leadership, in particular needs a major shack-up in order to ensure that modern medicine and practices are being implemented across the hospitals that they oversee. I would run from Trinity Health as a prospective employee or a potential patient.

I actually liked the duties but honestly the company does not care about its employees. Office Assistants are the dirt of the company with EVERYTHING falling on them and no sense of belonging to the organization other than anything done wrong. They give you PTO but if by chance you have to call in sick you have to use PTO and then sick leave the next day which almost guarantees employees call out two days in a row. They set you with a schedule and if you work outside of that schedule they want you to take a longer lunch rather than pay you the overtime that you would work and deserve to be paid since time is being take away from your family  the pay is terrible and yearly raises are very small  They really need to think of a teller system because  all OA’s get the same even when you work in the slowest clinic to the absolute busiest and most demanding

Overall I would say Trinity is about a good of a place to work as any. It's fast paced and stressful with scheduling that varies...But they compensate their workers and have full benefits. You also receive various discounts at various businesses for being Trinity affiliates.The atmosphere at Trinity can be somewhat negative and Clique-ish but there is always enough work to do to keep you moving. There is a serious lack of Management at one of their three facilities. To an extent that it affects the entire staff and overall flow and atmosphere. A lot of the drama and chaos that goes on within the pharmacy could be avoided or thwarted with an improved managerial staff. It was frustrating some days to have to work around negativity and constant drama. For someone who longs to just arrive at work, do a job and go home it became tedious.

One of Trinity's recent hiring ideas for the food service department was to bring in a lot of workers now, so that they have all they need once the pandemic is over.
The problem is, there is no end in sight, and that leaves us cooks without enough work to keep us busy.  I also found the overall mood there is depressing.  Often, I would go into work in an inquisitive and friendly mood - only to feel as though I shouldn't even be talking.
My final issue (that has now led the siubmission of my resignation) is that, I told my interviewers that I relied on public transportation to get too and from work.  Unfortunately, the buses don't operate all days and times of the week.  I asked if my scedule could be slightly modified to accomodate the bus schedule, but they wouldn't work with me. 
 

After a couple years wasn't even making $10 an hour, yet they expect a lot from you.  You get PDO  days for vacations and such, but if you don't have enough days then you don't get to go. Even if you say you'll take it unpaid. Immediate manager was good, easy to talk to, but upper management sucked. And you would think that working at a hospital you would have kick a** medical, dental and vision.....NOPE. How does a bill for over $170 for blood work sound? I've had WAY BETTER benefits at my previous in employer. 
Only good thing I can say is it was a job and getting back into the work force after being a stay at home mom for years it's hard to find someone to hire you.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Well, I would like to see the bosses, but the bosses don't really care for yourself.They just want you to do so they don't have to be there on their days off.But that's for the hospital's a great place to work

Meaning All the new people the nurses in the doctors

Like I said earlier , the bosses are the lazy ones They want you to do doing do , but they don't want to do nothing , right

It was great getting to meet all the people working in the morgue working on the psychord and working on the e r and the rest of the hospital all have great nurses and doctors

Compensation below average, high risk of burnout. Lots of politics, management will sometimes play favorites even though they are supposed to treat everyone consistently. Has an attitude of "burn 'em and turn 'em" when it comes to hourly employees. If you are experiencing the side effects of burnout, it is best not to disclose it at the workplace as it could very well be used against you. It's better to quietly find another job and put in your notice instead of trying to tough it out or ask for assistance. Even though the company has a policy of no retaliation, and even though it's illegal, they will retaliate if you ask for an accommodation.
