Tudors Biscuit World

When I was first hired I was excited because I thought I would be a part of a team.  This quickly faded when I realized that it was much more like a middle school cafeteria.  Many of the crew members are great to work with, but the management is either non-existent or overstepping and nitpicky.  Examples:  Everyone has their cell phones out at work, especially on the front line UNTIL someone that is disliked does it, and then they are written up for it.  This happens frequently.  Another example is a person who complains of not having enough hours is given more on the schedule, only to call off with no advance warning with no consequence.  Others have called off or called in late with doctor's notes or valid, verifiable reasons and were written up, humiliated, or had their hours cut to the point they had no choice but to find another job.  Many issues there are handled in this manner......often you will not even know you have upset someone until you find your hours cut.  Also, when given any time of reprimand, it is done publically in front of all of the crew and is done pretty much to humiliate the person.  The owners are great, but they are not in town much and the remaining management is very passive-aggressive and difficult to work with.  I would not recommend working here until the management is replaced with ADULTS who maybe have some experience in management, not middle school bullies unhappy with their lives and making others miserable in the process.

When I first started working for Tudors it was a great place. It had just opened for buisness so it was still a learning process for everyone. Being as it was new there were a lot of the main management members there to make sure things ran smooth. But after the newness wore off, and those management members left, it seemed like a lot of the employees and management slacked off on there jobs. There were days that some of the employees, even working a full 8 hours, did not recieve a break. Somedays the managers would stay in the office the majority of the day, even if we were extremely busy, and would not come out and help. If and employee called off to the night shift manager for their shift the next morning, the managers would sometimes fail to find a replacement or even let the manager for the next shift know that they would be short handed, I really did love most if not all of my co workers, and Tudors would still be a great place to work if the managment would just buckle down and run the place the way they did when it first opened. The best thing about working at Tudors, for me was, some of the life long friends that i made working there, whether it be co workers or customers, I have meet some really great people.

The typical day was a 13 hour stint over a hot grill cooking sausage, eggs, doing dishes or preparing biscuits followed by mopping the kitchen. All the people whom worked there were amicable (management was a tad stiff but it was their job to be) we got a long great through bonds of mutual hatred for our environment. We laughed often and loud. By far the worst part about the job was the grease. I could deal with the heat of the grill ( hotter than the summer heat since we opened the door to cool down the kitchen) but the grease was awful. Every day all of my clothing would be saturated with the slick substance. My thick treaded shoes were so covered in the fat that I could hardly walk without sliding on the frictionless surface. Every day between dishes and moping I went through a gallon of bleach on the floors. The most enjoyable aspect of the work were the people. They were all corrigible but not overly intrusive the perfect level of friendly productivity. As a side note, soon before my unrelated leaving of the organization, one member of management shorted every member of the establishment, took all the tips and money from the register, and then ditched town with it.

Working at Tudor’s Biscuit World was a decent experience that helped me build important skills and learn how to handle responsibility in a fast-paced environment. One of the best parts of working there was learning how to stay efficient during busy rushes while still providing good customer service. It taught me how to communicate clearly with both coworkers and customers, especially when things got stressful.

I also appreciated how the job helped me improve my teamwork skills. Everyone had to work together to keep things running smoothly, and that made it easier to get through long or busy shifts. Over time, I became more comfortable taking initiative and helping out wherever I was needed, whether that was preparing food, cleaning, or assisting customers.

Although the job could be challenging at times, it gave me valuable real-world experience and a better understanding of what it takes to be a reliable employee. Overall, working at Tudor’s was a solid first job that helped me grow and prepare for future opportunities.

Been with a company a very long time but because I wanted to but because of the circumstances on my life that's trapped me. It's a job but I wouldn't recommend anyone work there unless the had too. Upper management and the company are terrible. Treatment is unfair it's all based of if your willing to kiss behind and  be in their clique. Work their hardest and loyal workers to death and expect to much from them while others who are in their clique or go on with their charades barely do anything and get the raises and get away with almost anything. They will write up their best workers for any small infraction but people that barely do their jobs get away with no call no shows etc. Supervisors and managers work their Employees like they are cattle. Pays terrible even if your in management and you do half your GMs job and your coworkers. Place just really is like a daily nightmare for me and I wouldn't even want my worst enemy stuck working there.

If you're starting out here, try to get put on evening shift until you get used to it. The mornings are always busy, which isn't always a bad thing. The managers are great. They always help bag food, do the register, cook, clean, etc. The only downside is this job is very stressful. People are very rude if they have to wait a few minutes for their food, but there are a lot of nice people also. Most of the people that come in are regulars. You also get to receive tips. The most I had made in one day was probably $30. I always saved my tips and had almost $150 in a month. You got a 20 minute break every day, and you could even split them into 5 minutes, 4 times a day. If you work there for a year, you receive medical benefits and a 401k.

I worked at two different Tudor's Biscuit World locations.
Each with their own General Manager, but both having the same District Manager. 
The management was poor. They would pull employees out in from of customers to berate and belittle us. The would cut our hours if we had to use the restroom and took longer than two minutes total. 
If a person smoked they would receive up to four 5-10 minute smoke breaks in a normal eight hour shift. Non smokers received no break. 
The co-workers were pretty fun to work with. I met many people from many walks of life. My favorite part of the job was actually my co-workers.
The hardest thing about working there was the stress level. It could have really been a great place, if not for the belittlement and the berating that took place. 
I learned how to fry and egg. A skill that prior to employment there, I could not master.

My experience working at Tudor's Biscuit World was disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and fairness in the workplace. Favoritism was prevalent, with rewards and recognition often given to individuals who contributed to workplace drama rather than those who demonstrated hard work and dedication. Additionally, workplace politics and punitive measures, such as reducing hours, created an environment that felt unwelcoming and unmotivating for employees striving to do their best. You are required to do the managers job, while getting paid pennies. As you watch others get rewarded for starting work-place drama.

It's not really worth the pay. I feel like most people are here because they have no other choice. Most workers come and go, none of them enjoy being here and want to leave asap. The rude customers don't help. The employees are rude all the time too. Don't expect a raise or compliment no matter what you do, they don't care how well you do, you may as well just slack off your entire time. The slackers get paid the same as you, so why bother trying? There really is no positive. This place is just emotionally and mentally draining. If you want to off yourself but need something to help push you over the edge maybe this is the place, cause it's almost got me there many times. This place will leave you so drained you're too tired to even enjoy hobbies you used to. It will completely erase you, you'll just be an empty hallow shell.

A typical day at work is always interesting in some way. I learned to be friendly at most times and how to accept things as they are as well as financial responsibility. Management was great. Very understanding as well as friendly. Co-workers, for the most part all of them aren't quitters. Honestly, had a couple of lazy ones, however, they had quit. Overall, I love my co-workers at this establishment. Hardest part of the job was the occasional unsanitary mess in the restrooms. The most enjoyable thing about this job would have to be seeing all the friendly people that come through daily, as well as seeing all of my co-workers, by who of which made the job much easier and more enjoyable.
