Turbo Debt

As a former Turbo Debt Enrollment Specialist, my experience at the company gave me valuable insights into the debt relief industry, along with personal and professional growth. Here’s a review of my time working there:

A typical day at Turbo Debt was fast-paced and customer-focused. I would start by logging into the system and preparing for a series of inbound and outbound calls with potential clients. Most of the time, I was assisting individuals struggling with credit card debt, explaining how our debt relief services could help them lower their monthly payments and pay off their debts faster. Throughout the day, I’d manage multiple accounts, ensuring that every client understood their options and received the best possible plan for their financial situation.

One of the biggest things I learned at Turbo Debt was how to effectively communicate with clients in financial distress. Understanding how to empathize with their situation, offer solutions, and build trust was key to my success. I also became proficient in managing multiple systems at once, handling client data securely, and keeping track of the progress on each debt relief plan. I gained valuable skills in sales, negotiation, and customer service.

Trainers at Turbo Debt was generally supportive, but like any customer-facing role, there was a lot of pressure to hit performance metrics. Managers were not approachable, offering regular feedback and coaching sessions to help improve my call handling and client communication. However, at times, it felt like there was a heavy emphasis on numbers and conversions, which was stressful. That being said, the goals and expectations were unattainable due to the rudimentary process of lead distribution and quality of leads provided.

The workplace culture was friendly and goal-oriented. The team worked well together, and there was a sense of camaraderie among my colleagues. There was often pressure to meet sales targets, which could occasionally create a competitive or stressful atmosphere.

The hardest part of the job was dealing with clients who were skeptical or resistant to the services we offered because they target market to people looking for loans. Many people were understandably hesitant about committing to a debt relief program, and overcoming objections or managing high-stress conversations could be emotionally taxing. Additionally, while helping clients with their financial struggles was rewarding, it was difficult to manage the expectations of clients who wanted immediate solutions to their problems.

The most enjoyable part of the job was when I was able to help a client who was genuinely overwhelmed by debt. When a client understood how Turbo Debt’s services could significantly improve their financial situation, and they expressed relief or gratitude, it made the work feel worthwhile. It was incredibly fulfilling to be able to offer people a sense of hope and a clear path toward becoming debt-free. Plus, achieving personal goals and contributing to the team’s success was always satisfying.

Overall, my time at Turbo Debt was bittersweet it great learning experience, allowing me to hone my communication and sales skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the financial struggles many individuals face.

I only worked with the company for 5 weeks through training and then was terminated. 
 I came in on the morning I was expected to start my first day out of training and they escorted me out.  Very cold like.  No reason given only that the company decided to go in a different direction.   I was later contacted by HR and told it was due to performance.  I was so very confused because I had just finished training and it was my first day and it hadn't even started yet. 

You will start to take calls your 2nd week of training, I think they are still trying to figure it out as they were very disorganized and seemed to be winging it.  

I really never knew what was expected regarding productivity while in training and never got a chance to figure it out or prove myself.   I was very anxious as I took the position for more freedom in my personal time. (I really got more free time) and I had already started seeing people in my training class just disappear.

I was always told not to worry just follow the process.  However, you need to catch on quick and I mean really quick or 5 weeks of your time or even less will be wasted. 

The training is a little different, they monitor you and whisper in your ear what to say,  and many times you're out there on your own, but you do have a script you can follow.  
 
The trainers have great personalities and seem helpful, and at the same time can be a bit drawn towards a little favoritism to some and not others.  By the time anyone actually gave me any real direction, it was over.  Overall, it's a good place to work if you can remain. 

It seems easy but It's hard, because you are influencing people to ruin their good credit, 
 and stop paying so they can save and become free from debt.   Other times they already a step away from doing so anyway, and fighting to keep trying to have decent credit, and many people are so bad off with their credit they've already stopped paying just lost causes. 

If you stay with the company the benefits are amazing and they offer 4-day work week.  Unfortunately, the turn-over rate is ridiculously high like no other.  The moment your numbers drop the moment you're out.  period.

If you don't have a job, apply and see how it works out, it's not a bad company they will take care of you if you catch on to it fast.  I wouldnt suggest leaving any job to go there.  If you currently have a bad, halfway decent or semi-good job don't quit it to start with Turbo debt.  It's too much of a risk.  

They don't consult you to let you know you need to do better or help you to get there with additional direction they just terminate you, and that is it. 

Working at Turbo Debt is an amazing place to work. It is a structured as a pro-team environment with the ability to advance quickly and to also be able to make as much money as you want.  The management is extremely positive and provides an open door policy to where they are actually on the floor and are rooting for you to be your best potential.  The upper management is  equally positive and rewards are given for achieving levels of accomplishments.  Upper management provides a catered in lunch every single day and the break rooms are stocked with snacks, ice cream, yogurts and many healthy options. We cant forget the special coffee machine that rivals any Starbucks drink!  Also we enjoy a special flavored water Bevi station.  Not only are the above enjoyed daily, but employees are also awarded vacations such as a weekend in New York for fun and for Christmas they are showing appreciation with a 4 day paid cruise!  I love my job and look forward to coming in to work everyday.  It is not easy to find a company that appreciates your efforts and truly values each and every employee.  The ability to make and earn as much money each month is the cherry on the sundae!  The ability to advance is open for you if you truly want to move up.  The training is top notch and you are always set up for success!  I am happy to call this place home and am so glad I answered the ad.  If you are looking for a career with amazing benefits and a nice paycheck, then Turbodebt is the place for you.  

I was very excited about this job at first. Once I got on the floor out of training everything flowed like water. But then I started noticing, you’re on the phone for 3 whole hours just to get a deal when you could be doing so much more. It doesn’t take that long to do a deal. The script is 7-8 pages long. That is utterly ridiculous, someone could hang up on you and you already 1hr in because they thought they were getting some type of loan. Please, get to the point so you not the customer waste time. You don’t get paid if they miss their first payment. So you just wasted 3 hours of your life enrolling them.

Every body is NEW. I asked HR a question and they didn’t even know because they were only a month into the job. 

Management needs training BAD! They hype everyone doing good but forget about the rest of their team. 

Be real with your people, you already send out ADs about wanting a loan. You shouldn’t have to read 5 pages to see if they understand that they’re in debt. THEY KNOW, that’s why they’re calling! 

The turnover is so fast. Honestly they wouldn’t experience so much turnover if they worked with the people they have and critique them to be a strong team. That’s why they hire class after class because they know people are either going to quit or they’re going to fire them. 

I would not recommend leaving where you are for this. If you’re not working at all, give it a shot. But this is NOT a career like job at all. 

Strictly number oriented… they expect you literally to work to get 2+ deals a day whether that means you’re there 10 /12/14 hours because if you average under two a day they definitely let you go. Even during training once you’re trying to learn if you don’t average that to a day they cut you. the only ones that get that really hang in there like I said they do have favorites whether they tell you they do are they don’t because you obviously see it .
Then the sad thing about it they don’t even let you know when they’re letting you go. They’ll just call you on the weekend as soon as you get off. 4K guess what you don’t have a job next week and they just totally leave you stranded. They really do not care about their employees. All they care about is their numbers and then making money. The management and up is what are the jobs and making the money as an employee you’re not really treated with a lot of respect or dignity. They don’t give you a good option for schedules and they don’t like it if you have an emergency to call out as a regular employee . And it’s funny how you hear the stories of the managers when I started - I wasn’t selling, but  they told me to hang in there and they help me and now I’m a manager- yeah you don’t sell and guess what you out the door. !!

If you’re looking for a job. Sure. If you are looking for longevity…DON’T fall for the hype. They present themselves as  “one big family” that’s laid-back and fun—which is true to an extent.  They’re a close family-friend business and you work for them. All the “room to grow” positions are filled with their family and friends, and if new positions arise.. those too will be filled with family or friends. You’re apart of the “big family” till you’re not. Things can change quickly. They tend to nitpick and scrutinize those who aren’t part of that inner circle.  

The same pattern applies to these reviews. They actively encourage positive reviews to boost their ratings, but when negative feedback appears, they focus on finding ways to remove it. Similarly, workloads and leads fluctuate—when things are going well, it’s attributed to their success, and you get a crumb and maybe a company trip, if they keep you that long. When they’re not…the blame often falls on the YOU. the employees.

As long as you understand your place within the company, where you stand, and accept that it’s likely not your final destination, you’ll be fine. Take advantage of the opportunity just as they will take advantage of you.

Typical day at work after you complete 1 week of classroom training? You come in and basically play whack a mole trying to grab leads on Telegram before someone else does. There are several Telegram chats to grab leads from but if you don't learn tricks to do it quickly, you will have a long 10 hour shift. When you do nab one you are supposed to spend an hour and a half trying to "reprogram" a heavily indebted person to allow National Debt Relief to settle their debts in 6 months while they save  the settlement money in a savings account. The cost for this "help"? In most states it's 25%!  Ouch!! So if someone with $50K in debt signs up, they will end up paying $12500 of that $50K to NDR. It's a boiler room "get the deal at whatever cost" sales culture. You get free catered lunch everyday and unlimited snacks and snack food but management does not care if their systems are making you fail. They hire 30 suckers I mean people every 4 weeks so the turnover is off the charts. I recommend to stay away. Better sales jobs elsewhere

When you first see the job listing you get so excited thinking "Wow! How can this be real?!" Well it's not. The whole process is just gaslighting and manipulating not only the clients but the managers are great at doing that to their employees too! With promises of making sure you are aware of being on thin ice (not hitting 2 deals a day even when they tell you in training you need to hit an average of 1.4 a day)  to  completely falling through on that promise and letting you go in an instant with no warning. Doesn't matter if you express your concerns to management a week before on how you are scared of losing your job and them telling you "Don't worry we will talk with you and see how we can help before you ever get fired" to a week later being fired.  

The way the superiors preach fake positivity is disgusting. A high school clique of people who only care about money and not actually helping the clients or the employees... They will tell you how people think you are a failure and then tell you to "use it as motivation"..... Honestly STAY AWAY unless you want more stress added to your life. 

Taking a job at TurboDebt was the best decision I could have made to progress my career in a meaningful way. Not only am I able to help support a business that is changing lives across the country through debt relief, but I'm also changing mine thanks to the help from management and my teammates. 

Within my position I'm given the flexibility and autonomy to get my work done, while still having the right balance of support and guidance to continue my personal growth and success at TurboDebt. I consider that the best part of my job, as I get to embrace my entrepreneurial and creative spirit to help the company grow and evolve.

I was at Turbodebt from August 2024 until being terminated in September 2024 for not enough sales. I went through 1 week of classroom training with a trainer who was your typical boiler room  " close the deal no matter what " sales trainer. Then in the 2nd week we were out on the phones to literally read a script word for word. In order to get leads, the company had people not in the US put leads into telegram and we had to quickly double click the lead to get it before someone else did. If we lost out we had to wait and be quicker next time. It was like playing whack a mole. The young Gen z folks learned how to manipulate this. I was rarely quick enough so I rarely got leads and thus rarely got sales and was eventually terminated for that reason. I voiced this to management multiple times but they never cared. It's your typical high pressure sales job where they want you to be a robot for the first 4 weeks reading a script and then after they tell you to be more conversational!
