U.S. Legal Support

Too many negatives to count. 
Be advised this office let go of an entire shift of people and several people from each department in the past 6 months (maybe 30 total). Good luck to the next wave. Start applying to the next job now. 
-Incompetent management. The managers in charge were all thrown into their current positions by sheer luck, pity and/or favoritism. They act petty and get involved with drama to mask the fact that they dont know what they're doing professionally. 
A lot of them are puppet managers just agreeing to everything some higher manager is telling them to do and not based on them actually putting thought into it. There is no oversight or accountability for upper management, they basically do whatever they want and allow what they want. HR is minimally involved and you'd be lucky to get an acknowledgement to a complaint. If you get an acknowledgment they make up reasons to fire you instead of fixing the actual problem. 
- Managers put stock into gossip and allow gossipy employees to spend mornings in their office, complaining about others. They let some people get away with calling others stupid and yelling at them while others have to toe a strict line. 
- No trust. They cannot have you even grab your own sticky notes. You have to be escorted to the supply cabinet and a manager or wannabe supervisor on a power trip must hand you 1 of the exact item you need and lock it up after like you're an office depot drug dealer on the side (considering they don't pay that well, maybe a good option). 
- They treat their employees like slaves. Like theyre doing you a favor. Like you should be grateful to have a job where it is constantly demanded that you exhaust and sacrifice yourself every single day, learn multiple roles for no extra pay or even any incentive and constantly give your 130% or face the consequences of a heart to heart aka threatening meeting with a caring management puppet. If you want to be too fat, too dead inside, too emotionally drained to do anything with your life and want to lose years and years of it to this office time suck this is the place for you! 
-Micromanagement of everything including rest, lunch and bathroom breaks. 9 and a half minutes or you end up getting an email so they can add to the paper trail so they can justify your firing. 
-Everything is based on numbers, not quality. People cheat and put in half efforts to make numbers, people who do better quality work and are honest about their numbers are always in the wrong here. 
-Many employees constantly work overtime off the clock. Theres too much work and a lot of pressure to complete it but not enough staff to complete it. They do not allow overtime to save money and threaten to write you up/fire you if you do overtime. At the same time, if you don't finish your work or meet numbers they start picking on you and building a paper trail to fire you. 
- They threaten to fire you and check off a box that says do not re-hire, as a scare tactic and threaten to tell your next employer you were a bad employee. 
-Employees are not allowed to talk about their salary or pay. It is constantly said that it is a fireable offense. Everyone makes different amounts for the same job depending on how much management likes you or whether you got a good manager years ago. 
- They have zero clue how to boost morale and come up with silly things to do outside of work as a group rather than accept they are doing something wrong. 

Theres more but I'm sure you'll find out if you are unlucky enough to end up there.

When I first joined this company, I genuinely believed it could be a place where I built a long-term career. There are still some positive aspects, including opportunities to gain experience and work with talented colleagues. Unfortunately, the negatives eventually outweighed the positives.

One of the biggest issues was the lack of transparency and communication with both employees and clients. As a Deposition Officer, I was frequently assigned to proceedings where the client had been notified that a CSR would be handling the deposition. This often resulted in attorneys being surprised, frustrated, or confrontational upon learning a Deposition Officer had been assigned instead. Rather than addressing the lack of communication with the client, the responsibility was placed on the employee to "educate" or "advocate" for the company's decision. If the client chose not to proceed, it could negatively impact employee performance metrics despite the situation being outside the employee's control.

Another ongoing challenge was the constant revision of policies and procedures. It felt as though changes were being made every week or two, requiring employees to repeatedly acknowledge and agree to updated handbook policies. This created confusion and inconsistency in expectations.

The timecard adjustment policy was particularly frustrating. Employees could receive an immediate write-up for requesting multiple timecard corrections within a month, even when the adjustments were for honest mistakes such as forgetting to clock back in from lunch while actively working on assignments. In practice, correcting a single missed clock entry often counted as multiple adjustments, making disciplinary action feel disproportionate to the issue.

The overall culture often lacked appreciation, empathy, and respect for employees. Recognition for hard work felt minimal, and communication from leadership was frequently poor. The company had the potential to be a great place to work, but constant policy changes, unrealistic expectations, and a lack of employee support made it increasingly difficult to remain engaged and motivated.

Pros: Valuable experience, opportunities to learn, supportive coworkers.

Cons: Poor communication, lack of transparency with clients, frequent policy changes, unfair disciplinary practices, limited employee appreciation.


Don’t apply for a job here- you will be so miserable. The management is never in the office, and just doesn’t care about the employees altogether. Management tricks you when you are first hired that your skills will be useful and they will help you grow within the company but that’s not the case. You are overworked and so under appreciated. The employees are also very catty. They talk behind your back and make jokes and it’s a high school environment. Management doesn’t care- they feed into it. I had a confidential conversation with my manager and she went ahead and told a couple other employees about the conversation and didn’t even resolve the problem. So unprofessional. Management talks down to you like you’re 5 years old and honestly it makes you wonder how they even got the management job to begin with. You can go above and beyond and do extra projects and then ask for a raise or more opportunities and the management will laugh at you and say “just stick to your regular job duties then”. If you want a positive work environment with minimal stress and management/coworkers  that actually support you and want to see you utilize your education and skills to help the company grow then find a different job.  This place has a high turnover and most of the employees either hate their job or hate the management. Don’t work here and really don’t even do business with them. 

I truly appreciate the diverse challenges presented to me each day in my role, as it allows me to constantly expand my knowledge and grow from my experiences. The flexibility and unwavering support from both my colleagues and management have been instrumental in my long-standing commitment to this company. With each passing year, I am continuously enriched by the wealth of learning opportunities that come my way, making this journey all the more rewarding. Striving towards a harmonious work-life balance remains a key objective for me, and I am equally passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. Amidst the daily hustle, it is essential to stay focused on what matters most, as tomorrow presents yet another chance to excel. 

The support and encouragement I have received from the company's management have been instrumental in my personal and professional development.

I  can confidently say that US Legal Support is one of the best companies I have had the privilege to work for. Each day, I find myself drawn to it more and more, thanks to the valuable experiences I continue to gain and share with others. I am excited about the prospect of further growth and development within the company.


The Chicago location could be so much better if the 2 head co-horts in charge were about their employees instead of the dollars they put in their pockets. While the work is fast paced and productive, procedures are changed constantly to pacify the clients instead of following proper procedures to obtain documents. You're told to do whatever it takes to get the records in but chastised when you're pouring all you can into getting them because not enough calls are being made. Quick speedy excessive calls do not get records in. CSR's cover their own backsides and throw their expeditors under the bus just so they can stay comfortable and lax in what they are required to do. No raises or opportunities for advancement. No recognition for OFFICIAL hard work. Everyone who cheats and cuts corners gets all of the credit. Upper management VERY poor and talk to their staff in any manner....including belittlement and vulgar foul language.

Management seemed secretive and uncaring about employees. Very "us against them." Zero communication regarding your own job trajectory and the direction of the company- if you didn't follow them on social media then you didn't know what was going on. Seems that only a special few favorite golden employees were always in the know; and there seemed to be a lot going on behind the scenes. Benefits are just okay- while they offer a 401K, they DO NOT do employer matching, which I think is unforgivable in this day & age and further proves how little they care about their employees. While I admit I wasn't unhappy working there (until just before the end), amidst the many changes that took place I came to feel that I just didn't fit in. I wanted to be trained, mentored and offered opportunities to do more, and that was basically ignored by the higher ups.

Had hoped to learn a lot and get better at my skills but they offered zero training or mentoring. Over the course of 2 years I had 5 different managers, only one of which was in my office on a regular basis. No org charts existed anywhere and they gave no performance reviews as far as I knew. Nepotism is rampant along with a bit of a high school mean girl culture. Office politics abound. No communication from upper level management. Major company news, changes and promotions were rarely communicated directly to employees- that kind of information was disseminated by gossip and social media. More than once I was never told directly that a member of my own team was let go. Compensation was good, benefits decent, but they don't offer 401K contribution matching which I find unacceptable in this day & age.

This place is run as if we were back in the dark ages, where the managers have all the power and the employees are the slaves. People work intimidated  of the manager, they also place incompetent people in management positions . They don't value the hard worker but acknowledge the ones who are always "kissing up" to management, my experience here was by far the worst, working environment is the worst, gossip is an every day thing. Favoritism is very common with the supervisors, if they dont like you they will make your stay here very unpleasant. And no family emergency or personal are allowed or they will make you pay for it.and when terminating someone's employment they make it seem as the employee left on their own terms. Which is a very shady thing to do.

Management is poor and uninformed. Vulgar and harassing at times. Nepotism abounds and favoritism is encouraged. Management behaves like schoolboys and girls and lack the decency to treat their employees with respect and dignity. Proactive thinking is discouraged and in the event management agrees with you about anything , don’t expect to get the credit. Employees are terminated at the drop of a hat , given no reason as to why and termination processes are handled in a shady and uncompromising manner. Hard work and effort is very rarely rewarded and errors are magnified. Older employees are discriminated against because of their age, appearance and salary levels.

Please run- this is not the place to work at, period!  The management team sucks and no room to advancement. There are favoritism and management don't care to give opportunities to those who truly deserve it because they want to only satisfy their favorites, who are overworked and unpaid. This company is the lowest paying legal service company out there. Their customer service representatives are earning $17-19 an hour and the annual raises are $.25 to 40 cents and that's even when you meet or exceeded your Matrix. Now that is sad for the work load that one is expected to do on a daily basis. IF YOU ARE DESPERATE AND DON'T CARE TO EVOLVE WITH YOUR CAREER THEN THIS IS THE PLACE TO WORK!!
