I really enjoyed the orientation process and the onboarding. I felt like everything was streamlined and compared to my last employment this was refreshing. The family friendly atmosphere appeared charming and supportive. 

I soon learned however that the main focus of the company is numbers and charting. The daily quota to meet was 18 which by itself sounds innocuous but is difficult to obtain.  Time spent looking for patients to see for the day and issues at the facility were not taken into account when quotas were not met. 

Charting took forever and I had to chart from home overnight and on weekends almost weekly. Had absolutely no work life balance. Opportunities to bonus were to difficult to obtain. I never received a bonus. Had no where to chart at facilities. Had to go to more than one facility an hour apart with  no consideration for travel time  given.  On call day was constantly changing. Vacation is paid per pay period at 5 hours per 2 week period. You have to earn the two week vacation. Tracking software on phones. 

Overall the patients were wonderful. I enjoyed the patient-provider relationships the most. I did have management on hand if I needed anything and while supportive their answers to questions were vague and never adequate... typically to refer to facility or provider. The long commutes in between facilities should be considered when obtaining quotas. Management needs to work with facilities to have an area to chart if this is their priority. 

My work is very interesting. Everyday there is a sense of fulfillment in how I help my residents and the nurses who care for them. I can schedule my workday to meet my personal needs for family events or appointments. My company encourages me to be my best self, and gives me room to decide how to make this my best job ever. Ultrahealth providers is a company that understands what NP’s do. It IS “the best job ever”.  
Geriatrics is a growing specialty. Elders are living longer. We get to help them do so with better health, and improve their quality of life.

The most stressful part about working at this company is getting attached to the residents we serve daily.

The work environment and culture at this company are driven by the mission, focused on providing high quality care. Management wants us to succeed and will help anyway they can! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I am stationed at a nursing home and see patients and remain on site to chart so if there is anything that comes up, I can handle it!

I could not be happier with my current employer. They are the complete opposite of every negative stereotype out there about employers in the current day and age. The job is flexible and very fulfilling. It works perfectly for me as a parent of two young children. They are always there to support you when needed, but do not make you feel micromanaged. They give you a lot of freedom to perform your job as you see fit, as long as you are performing your job in a manner satisfactory to everyone involved. Though you have to take call, the number of calls you take are minimal. I feel appreciated and respected in my current role and look forward to my future with this company.

Pay is low, especially based on amount of work expected and time.  Track your movements on your phone and micro managed.  Management have no clue about what the job even entails.  New management is hired without jobs being posted internally first.  Management not responsive to issues and decisions are made by people who have never done the job and do not know.  No work life balance. Unable to do most charting at facilities because there is no where to chart that is designated for the FNP.  After working all day you go home and spend hours doing your charting.   Do not make you feel appreciated. Love the long term care patients but with numbers you cannot spend adequate time with them.

I genuinely enjoy working for Ultra Health Providers. The organization fosters a true family atmosphere with meaningful investment in its employees. The team culture is warm and supportive, and leadership is approachable, personable, and consistently acts in the best interest of staff. Even on challenging days, the work remains rewarding and fulfilling. 

Workplace culture was a joke, they care only about how much they can bill and put in management's pocket. Compensation was far less than the standard rate for the Nashville area, and forget about trying to bonus-you have to basically live at the facility and see an excess of 26 patients a day to make it worth while. No support from management if an issue comes up with a facility you are providing care at-they will take the side of the facility in order to retain that contract. Would discourage working for this company.

Mission is wonderful. Work hours are flexible. Management is helpful and present but can only assist to an extent. There’s a lot of unknowns with what you can and can’t do within each separate facility. The position is very autonomous which can be a positive or negative depending on your amount of experience as an NP. I would not recommend this for new grads. 
Charting takes forever, and Ultra’s charting system, may or may not communicate with your facility’s charting system. 
The culture is nice, the work life balance and amount of communication could improve.
