I have never been so uncomfortable and disgusted by a company's policies and unethical practices in my entire professional career. I was told that I needed to have 100% of my day accounted for by billing units to clients. During training, my supervisor asked me why I had only 98% of my day as billable units. I explained that I was away from my desk for a short bathroom break, and I was sternly told that I was to charge that time to a client, ANY client, and i was to add it to a client's bill and not ever have any missing time like that in the future. I asked how that was possible considering employees take breaks for the bathroom, water breaks, walk to the mail room etc... again, I was told sternly that every employee bills their clients 100% of the day and when taking break to just split it up among different client bills for that day to not draw attention. Billable units are of utmost importance, not client care. I witnessed my supervisor speak to one of her clients on the phone for 6 minutes. She put an order into UDS medical supplies division for a package of adult diapers for the client. The call and task took approximately 10 minutes. She then proceeded to write a note in his account and bill him for 45 minutes. This is an everyday practice and they should be investigated. They tout all their great work in the community but if these poor clients only knew how much money of their state grant was being frittered away they (and the public) would be appalled. I left this job and never had a moment of regret.

Trying too hard to be like Amerihealth. This company bit off way too much with giving SC’s a 60+ client caseload from a no more than 35 caseload once Keystone CHC cut contracts with other service coordination agencies. Unreasonable expectations to complete 3 full assessments a day, quarterly reviews with monthly phone calls to every single client in a single month and blame the service coordinator and threaten with write ups constantly. All progress notes must be written in real time as well in a very strict format they provide you with which is EXTREMELY long and overly detailed and repetitive. Their work expectation is very unreasonable and unrealistic for an 8hr day and operate with a flip phone in 2020 while having to drive to house to house to complete these assessments. I’ve witnessed SC’s cry because of management and the poor treatment we receive. Our voices and concerns are never heard or acknowledged. We are always told to ask for help from our supervisor but soon as we do they say it’s our job to figure it out not there’s and before you know it they begin micromanaging then boom a write up. Management are bullies! I’ve never witnessed such disrespect from upper management with any other agency I’ve been with. The turn over rate is also extremely high. Please think wisely before choosing this company. I am actively seeking to go back to child welfare. 

The management at this company is below average to poor. There is little to no training or support offered. It is extremely difficult to speak to your supervisor and it could be days until they return your email or phone call. They are worried about your productivity levels in terms of making them money and billing insurance companies only. They do not focus on the clients/consumers and you are told to spend minimal amounts of time working with your clients/consumers so you can bill as many units as possible in an hour in order to make them more money. If you make an honest human error, you will be reprimanded for it. There is no room for human error here. Your caseload size and location is overwhelming, with little to no support from management, and if you make an honest mistake, there will be immediate consequences and accusations from management. The Human Resources Representative is unethical and unprofessional, at best. No mileage reimbursement or reimbursement for use of your home internet or office equipment. Their IT Department is phenomenal, as is the receptionist. Coworkers are kind and caring, but afraid. Walking on eggshells in constant fear. Job responsibilities change hourly to daily with no notice. Pay is poor, not even starting employees above $40,000 for a caseload above 60+ clients.

Great team of employees and leaders. Management is helpful and  professional. They are always willing to assist their coordinators when needed. I have  not experienced micro management  here. As long as you keep you documentation in compliance they don't bother you or look over you shoulder. You can also work from home.  

What is the best part of working at the company?
The majority of the work is done remotely which provides a great amount of autonomy. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the three years that I was there. The pay and benefits are good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
At times the demands of the MCO companies are a bit overwhelming.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is primarily remote with the option of working in the office if desired. The culture is supportive and helpful. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no typical day. Client's needs dictate the majority of the day and that varies. Good note taking is paramount in this position.

I worked as a supports coordinator in 2013. This was my first job out of college and my boss , and a lot of higher ups, didn't care about ethics whatsoever. All they cared about was billing and I was told to add my billing minutes on to consumers when I was going to the bathroom for it to count!! I was eventually fired because I refused to NOT help my consumer who was in the hospital and about to be homeless when discharged even though my boss told me "no because I couldn't bill for it." I refused and did it because as a social worker, that's what I do. This company didn't care and it was a shame. I enjoyed my consumers.

Positive schedule, no on call, competive wages better than compared companies, great pto and love the people I work with. Training is in depth and  patience is required with yourself to learn. Management cares and will support you. Ask lots of questions and seek feedback for the best experience. Diversity is high and very cool to see accross the organizatin. Lots of growth happening constantly and you can see frequent promotions celebrated. 

My position with UDS was to enroll new state waiver approved individuals with disabilities into our system and set up personal care attendants who matched up with the consumer best. This was a very time constricted component of this position and I work best alone and in a quiet environment. This position was very rewarding and I enjoyed it very much.

I have never had a job that allowed for such flexability. The job as is any social work position is busy, but you get good training and great support. Management wants you to succeed and gives you the tools to do so. Co workers are great. Advancement is happening constantly positively from within. This is a challenging but rewarding job. Recommend it!

I felt like I couldn't do anything right. I would do exactly what I was told but was still not good enough. I was made to feel that I had to clean up after not only the dogs (which that was what I was hired for) but the sloppy trainers who I was  up after as well. The micro managing was intense and I constantly felt stupid. Oh and there was little to no training so I was set up for failure. The dogs were awesome and I miss them dearly.expected to clean
