Having worked in hospice for as long as I have, that's extremely rare. The management is fantastic and real, they understand real life happens and are down to earth and compassionate. There is a reason many employees have been here for five, ten, twenty, thirty years.

I am in a non-clinical role, and there is room for advancement as the company expands as they integrate new technologies. I was promoted within 1 year of starting with the org. 
Very good management team that values the input of the team members - regardless of what level the team member is from.
Very flexible in regards to working from home, of course this depends on the type of roll you are working. 
The Human Resources management works diligently to provide strong benefits and work life balance for clinical and non-clinical roles. Additionally, they offer many  employee support mechanisms (bereavement support, vaccinations, flexible with leave, pension and retirement plans, and offer a lot of vacation time).

Flexible work schedule.
Manager and office staff are nice and considerate. My manager is the best! 
Hardest part of the job is driving ofcourse but it is how it is in homecare.
Low salary. I feel like Im working harder but not getting paid more esp with my experience of being a nurse for 19 yrs with more than 8 plus years experience in the hospital. 
Multicultured, respectful staff. Very supportive office staff.

They lock my 401K when I rolled my 401k to theirs and I cannot even borrow my own money when vnahg did not even contribute to it.
Pension after 2 years of working which is good but not happy that they lock my 401K. They should not have  THAT right! Very upsetting. 
Enjoyable part of the job is going home early after seeing 6 pts a day. 

I've been a therapist for 20 years and in all those years, this is the worst employee I've had !  I trusted in my manager that I had some health issues that would have never interfered with my level of care to my patients nor my drive and dedication to the field. I was abruptly fired and told HR thought I was going to go after disability. As a single mom and an honorable person, that was not on my radar. My manager knew it was the wrong call but did absolutely nothing but whisper she was sorry. You are easily replaced and not valued. Sadly, the lesson was not to trust in people.

I found the schedule and work really flexible for working with a family at home. Typical nursing jobs at the hospital make it hard. The managers were understanding and worked with me. They also made flexible shifts when needed and were supportive of my hectic schedule.

The benefits were decent, helped me go back to school and save money. Very diverse staff which is nice. Some of the managers are a little out of touch, but overall better than anywhere else I have ever worked. 

Worked for VNA 10+ years. Started off as a visiting registered nurse now working as a visiting nurse practitioner. Case managing 110+ patients that are seen 1-3x monthly depending on stability. See about 5-9 patients daily. Although you’re working under a physician, you as the NP are the patients primary provider so all calls and concerns including labs, meds, diagnostic tests, all types of forms to be filled out, etc are you’re sole responsibility. It’s exhausting. Rewarding?…sometimes

I was a certified home health aide. I wanted to take care of patients on a weekly basis to help them recover or make them comfortable while in their home. I did daily patient care, bathing and feeding. Sometimes shopped for food and did a load of laundry. I am very compassionate and loved working with hospice patients and their families. The most enjoyable part of my job was putting a smile on my patients faces each day.

Dealing with clients and families were stressful at times but that’s nursing

Great a lot of nurses have been there for a long time

The company eliminated RN positions in the Clinic replacing us with Medical Assistants.  This action resulted in the MD's having to assume RN duties that para-professionals (MA's) are not qualified to assume.  The end result, inadequate patient teaching and loss of MD's necessitating  the closing of a Health Center in Keansburg.

The VNA truly cares about their patients and it shows.  The company values continuing education and new thoughts and ideas.  The CEO is very passionate about healthcare and it is contagious.  My manager was excellent, even though we didn't agree 100% of the time he heard me out.  Overall great place to work while I was there.  It has changed since I've been there.
