What is the best part of working at the company?
The overall environment and flexibility are probably the best parts. Everyone is really helpful if you’re willing to ask questions, and it makes a huge difference working with people who genuinely want to help you grow and succeed. There are also a lot of opportunities to learn different parts of the company and grow into different departments. They’re very family-oriented too, which is nice when things come up outside of work, like kids getting sick or unexpected situations.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It can get very busy at times, but you really don’t get overworked unless you want to take on extra. If someone’s workload starts becoming too much, all they really have to do is mention it and management will help take some things off their plate. Burnout is a real thing and they genuinely try to avoid it. The goal is for people to enjoy their jobs and what they do while still having a life outside of work. If someone is consistently stressed from overtime, it’s usually by choice rather than being forced into it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is pretty collaborative and flexible overall. People are trusted to manage their work without being micromanaged, but there’s still plenty of support when needed. It’s a place where you can learn a lot because different departments work closely together, and there are opportunities to branch out and grow your skill set. The environment can definitely be fast-paced, especially during busy periods, but there’s a strong emphasis on communication and making sure workloads stay manageable. It also feels very family-oriented, which makes the workplace feel more understanding and approachable compared to a lot of companies. I have never worked anywhere that has had such a positive work environment.

The CPE installation role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment. Responsibilities vary based on client needs, providing technicians with diverse, hands-on experience over time. Each installation presents unique circumstances and approaches, making problem-solving an essential and rewarding part of the job. The role also involves frequent interaction with new people, which allows a range of meaningful and varied encounters.

Vantage Point ensures technicians are properly trained and confident before working by themselves. As a travel-based role, it involves significant time on the road and regular hotel stays, but this is balanced by benefits such as per diem and gas coverage. Rotating weekends help maintain some time at home.

This position is best suited for individuals comfortable with a mobile lifestyle. Those who prefer staying in one place may find the constant travel demanding. One must be able to incorporate this style of living in their lives to get the most out of the position. With this in mind, I would say that for most people the job isn’t built for longevity.

A typical day is reactive, chaotic, and poorly communicated. Priorities shift constantly, often with little explanation, which makes it hard to do quality work or feel confident in what you are producing. What I learned most was how to work around broken processes rather than being supported by solid systems or leadership. Management talks about standards and expectations, but those expectations change depending on who you are and who you report to. Workplace culture feels inconsistent and political rather than collaborative. The hardest part of the job is the lack of direction and accountability at higher levels, which trickles down and creates unnecessary stress. The most enjoyable part of the job is honestly the coworkers who are just trying to survive the same mess and do the best they can despite the environment.

Got fired 2 weeks after my 3 weeks training. First week of training was just watching videos of how to use Smartsheets and writing summaries on your proficiency ( Mind you the work they require you to do, requires you to be advance in smartsheets, like formulas and workflow automations etc.). Second week you were being thrown into the actual work, Started making edits on their blueprint for the rest of the training and up to the point that I got fired. Which I found funny because they approved my vacation time the day before, didn’t discuss my performance with me throughout my employment ( other than good job, looks good etc.) and waited till I was done with the majority of the day 3:00 pm, I get off at 5 PM and 98% of their blueprint to fire me. Sent me an email the night before  saying this is the nearly the last of our blueprint and we will be done with this. Honestly I was blindsided, I would have slowed down my work if that’s the case. Their reasoning this position just isn’t working out. Ughhh, so disappointed. One thing they don’t do is waste any time. I was signed out of everything, soon as I got off that zoom call. Like wow. Terrible company, decent pay, bad training and they will use you. The coldest I ever seen my hiring manager. 

The typical work day consists of 10+ hours inspecting construction as well as customer service. Must be comfortable with reading RUS codes and working in extreme weather conditions. The hardest part of the job was working weekends most times 7 days a week and not having family time.The most enjoyable is the workers they all seem friendly and team oriented. The management was poorly structured the project managers tried to do their jobs to the best of their ability however the upper management was not only aggressive and threatening, he would constantly tell everyone to do things in one manner then yell and humiliate someone the following day for a change he decided to make and that individual was working in a bad service area and missed the message or it was never sent at all. Management is always willing to throw workers under the bus so to speak, cuss and belittle employees after failing to properly inform them on how they wanted the job done.

Overall a good company to work for. Work/life balance is encouraged by management. You do have the opportunity for lots of overtime if you choose. ESOP is awesome and you know that you are a part of something bigger than just yourself! Co-workers and management are good.
They do not micro-manage you, but you must be able to do your job correctly and in a timely manner. You will be let go for poor job performance so do not think you can be a slacker. 
Good benefits… Again, ESOP is awesome plus you do earn vacation and sick time.
Before taking the job, know what is expected of you. Outside Plant positions are 90% travel with travel expenses paid. Home office and the satellite offices are a healthy office work environment. Remote positions are available from time to time.
There is opportunity for growth, in time, with the company if you hustle and take ownership with your work. Do not expect a management job after 1 week.

I feel like they are very family oriented and I love the flexibility they have given me over the years! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I feel the most stressful part if not being heard sometimes and being pushed to hit deadlines that are not manageable without working overtime. I feel there is a disconnect between us who are doing the work and the higher ups not understanding what it may take to get the job done. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I feel it is family oriented and feels like a small company, when actually we are pretty good sized and is growing. I feel like there are alot of employees here who have the same mindset and goals. It is nice to know that we can have each others back on projects that we work on together and I can always find someone to get me answers.

I worked there for 5 months before i was let go because i wasn't physically able to hike in mountain terrain to gps utility poles.  Job description left out the part that u will have to go hiking in heavily wooded and dangerous terrain. They just through myself and my supervisor in an area and basically we had to figure out everything for our selfs. No one showed us how to do our timesheets, how to work the tablet it was not good. But we figured it out..
 In 5 months i completed work ahead of time and correctly but they wouldnt make an effort to try to work around the fact i cant do the hiking part of job. Everyone ive spoke to from company while i worked there was nice, job it self was easy (except hiking part). I enjoyed the work and money .

VPS is a team of hardworking, down-to-earth people who care about doing great work and helping each other succeed. They offer opportunities to grow, take on new challenges, and be part of a company where your contributions actually matter.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Like most growing companies, things can move quickly and priorities can shift, which can be challenging at times. That said, our team does a great job supporting each other and working through those busy periods together.

The environment is team-focused, supportive, and hardworking. People collaborate well, respect each other, and take pride in doing quality work.
