Context: I worked at Velocitii in 2020 as a temporary customer service rep. I did not pursue a permanent position for personal reasons. Though I hope this review gives a more truthful glimpse of what it was like to work here.

Having worked a temporary position, we were considered part time. This meant at the time we had to work less than 80 hours every 2 weeks. Often times, they would send us home early every other friday to keep us just below that 80 hour mark. We did not have any notable benefits. Though this likely differs for full time employees.

As for the Job/Work Life balance, there was a system in place at the time where you basically had to "earn" your days off. When you start out, you had zero PTO days but would earn a small amount for every year you worked. If I remember correctly 2 years was equal to 2-3 weeks worth of vacation. As for actual flexibility, there was none. Breaks were decent (you had two 15-minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch). Though if you entered the building 15 minutes early and had bad luck with your computer that day, they would still count you as "late". Their system of clocking in was a nightmare, and I got a write-up for being "late" without any warning, thanks to the laggy computers.

On that note, management and job culture just seemed really fake while I was there. Co-workers were nice, but it's hard to take the company culture as anything genuine. They will claim up and down that they are "like a family", but the truth is they will fire and replace anyone for the smallest reasons. I was almost let go because they switched up the schedule and changed the dress-code without telling me. I showed up with leggings and a sweater, and received a colorfully worded email about my "incorrect interpretation" of the dress code, despite being told before that how I dressed was fine. Communication was just extremely poor overall. They'll tell you very little or none of an issue they have and surprise you with a lecture or a write-up. Somehow, I was one of the few of the original hires that remained for the entire duration of this temporary position.

To add, I also signed up for the graveyard shift. I would start in the afternoon and end late at night, because I didn't like early mornings. As mentioned, they switched up our hours without telling any of us. If you decide to work here, ask them what is is exactly you are signing up for and ask them how they will communicate any changes, if any. My mistake was thinking I'd just be making regular calls at night. Most of our job was cold calls to disgruntled customers, some of whom were discriminated against, and took their anger out on all of us instead of those actually responsible. Know that if you are going to work here or at any other call center that it's not just "fun company culture", "a family", or any of that forced-positivity garbage to try making themselves look good as a company. 

I will say, however, that the one silver lining to working here were the co-workers in the same job position as me. We would have genuine conversation, vent in the breakroom, and even make sure all of us got home safely (it got super sketchy there at night). I really hope those people found something better, because they were probably the only reason I didn't quit.

As an employee they are a joke. They sugar coat the problems with “PTO, VTO & unlimited UPTO” yet they give you a shift then a shortly after just expect you to change it with the reasoning “our client needs this so this is your new shift” regardless is you have that availability. The management is absolutely a joke, you reach out it could be easy 3-6 business days before you hear back and if you do hear back it’s normally “we will get back to you tomorrow” and they don’t. This place has very Obvious favoritism and in the “team mettings” you’ll notice inappropriate behavior and conversations for the work place. 

You get to work from home, you get 15 minutes before lunch 30minute lunch and 15 minutes after lunch NEVER the same time day to day. 

It is impossible to meet their expectations and standards which they follow with “it’s okay, we are all human” but then get after you about not being a perfect robot. 

They prove equipment which is nice but they laptop is from like 2008 and runs as such. 

They provide training based on the Clint which varies from 3days to 1 month depending on the client. And even during the training they don’t actually train you, 90% of the time you’re just fighting to get equipment to work. 

They are always reaching out to do surveys about your experience/ training yet if you give your actual feedback they get upset vs what they want to hear 

They do these “monthly inventive” programs but they really are if you devote your life, soul and first born to us we will order something of your choice off Amazon for $25 or less 



What is the best part of working at the company?
Family atmosphere. Fabulous supervisor & CEO. Until COVID, we used to have lunchroom gatherings with food we would bring. Especially for holidays. They often still get pizza for everyone, and on Thursdays they bring snacks around to our desks. Plus there are drawings for prizes, like a Roku, and many others. When I suddenly got sick and needed surgery they were there for me. The CEO brought a beautiful blanket for me to my home plus other gifts. They paid me sick pay and encouraged me every step of the way. My supervisor sent me flowers several times and also sent flowers and a gift to me at the salon where I had my head shaved. I will always be grateful to the folks at Velocitii.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's phone work so when customers treat you shabbily your natural inclination is payback but you must strive always to understand where they're coming from. That gets hard & creates stress. You only get a half hour for lunch which is sometimes hard but my supervisor was always understanding if you let her know you might be a couple minutes late. Also there is a long, long walk into the building from the parking lot and to your desk.

After hearing of the recent review on here from a fellow coworker I finally feel comfortable speaking out. I can also agree that there is obviously favorites with team leads and supervisors. Many times the same reps on a day to day basis are having brief meetings during the work day to get extra help on calls with are team leads. We use to have weekly group meetings to go over certain things and ask questions and they took that away from us over a month ago do to call volume. Maybe if they wouldn't have taken a handful of reps away from us we could handle the call volume. I do enjoy my job but management and communication is the worst at velocitii. I can also agree that every thing revolves around the stats. They get on us about stats being poor on a day to day basis but all that says to me is we don't have enough workers to handle the call needs. They even have are leads on the phone and asking for help is impossible do to this. I am willing to stay working here until my 1 year anniversary next fall but that's if I can keep putting up with the pi** poor communication from management. 

The best part of the job is the fact that it is remote. There’s a very high call volume especially around the holiday time open enrollment. Period. Calls are back to back. You can barely drink a sip of water. To top that, all of the supervisors are clueless. It seems like they make the rules as they go and cater to some more than others. The training process is ridiculous. You’re in a crash course. Basically then they throw you on the phones. Be prepared to teach yourself when you need help and you reach out in the chat. You’ll be lucky if you get an answer. Be prepared to have every minute of your break, watched every disconnection on the phone watched and the attendance policy is ever changing. They make it very clear that you are disposable. The pay is nothing you can live off of. They like to give raises and take them back. The supervisors are completely clueless, not knowing policies and snooty. Save yourself the heartache get a job that values you. I would never recommend this job to anybody.

It's fun and rewarding to watch your own growth, but never do they acknowledge it. I've only seen family be promoted, or otherwise the one to make the company look good. Training is terrible, they rush you thru... Leaving out basic important information. It's a customer service job, but no training in actual customer service! No training in de-escalation. But they expect you to handle/deal with them! The only time you learn something  about customer service edict is when you mess up and don't handle a call correctly or to their standards!  The management tells your business, so watch what you say to them and others! It's pretty fake.... Not to mention hurtful! 
How some are treated differently from others. Love what I do..... If you just had proper encouragement, training, cooping skills, they put a lot of pressure on some employees, while others play/chat! Some people are expected to carry others, while those same others do less! Mounting to the stress, they don't listen, it's been expressed several times! 
Excuses everytime. 

I never thought I would be good at call-center work. But since the very first day, I felt at home and welcome with Velocitii.  The training is excellent, they don't rush you, and by the time we went live serving the client, were prepared to help our client.  Not only that, there are so many more experienced people on the group chat happy to help if you get stuck or don't know the answer to. They are so patient and kind.  I am so grateful I found Velocitii and am absolutely honored they chose me!!  I can't say enough about all of them.  the managers are so welcoming and helpful, and appreciate me and others as if we were on the same level with them.  In every way it's the most satisfying career I have ever had and at my age (51yrs), I finally found my "forever" career!!

Your typical day all depends on what client you work for. Different clients have stricter rules for breaks and lunches. Metrics (how well you are hitting your Quality goals) and hours of business also vary. I highly recommend to ask at your interview about the specific client you would be working for and expectations.

I can speak with full confidence that each of our supervisors are absolutely incredible and do their very best to support you. Communication is key. Co-workers are generally nice, fun and easy to get along with.

Unfortunately, there are a few bad eggs that like to gossip or alienate others from group activities. Management needs to learn how to weed out those that cause constant problems or rifts with in each group. I understand that this is something that occurs in every workplace but it is still worth noting.

Upper management is terrible here they truly do not care about their employees they are all replaceable. They find reasons to fire people every year for any reason they can in Nov and Dec so that people dont get their bonus pay out they brag so much about. It has happened the last few years it is disgusting to watch and then they will try and fight your unemployment this has happened to multiple employees as well. The absolute only good part about Velocitii is  some of your co-workers they are truly in the trenches with you while you walk on egg shells daily. Be careful though favoritism is very evident and they will throw you under the bus to succeed. It is going to be even worse now with a new owner.  Every person who leaves there will tell you how much of a relief it is to be gone.

I love working at Velocitii! Pay is based on PERFORMANCE. It is a very relaxed, family - like atmosphere. By far my favorite job I've had. I've been here since 2016 and hoping to retire from here. So much potential for growth if you put fourth enough effort. Not many employees, so do not have to deal with the gossipy foolishness that generally comes with the business of call centers although there are the occasional bad apples or  "drama queens" who keep the water cooler pumping! Velocitii  has zero tolerance for discrimination and is huge on encouraging diversity. Adore the management, they are very flexible and understanding. Great place to work!
