All i can really say is, be careful what "talents" you show them. They will exploit them to the point of hurting your core performance without giving you time to train others to help delegate the major issues at hand. 
- typical day of work: knock out 200+ accessions while also taking care of any Onsite IT related issues.
- i learned to get what is promised in writing and to be cautious what you offer to help with. If your core job responsibilities are being affected by side jobs other managers are asking you to knock out, tell Upper Management what is happening immediately. 
- The overall work culture is welcoming most of the time. 
- the most enjoyable part of my job was helping people solve issues that have plagued them for, at times, months. not to mention saving some of the people thousands of dollars due to billing errors. it was very rewarding to find these trends.

Very uncoordinated and immature organization that seems to be in complete disarray at the highest levels.  I wasted many hours meeting with C-level execs and managers only to be left hanging in the end, no closure.  My bad, I should have bailed out after the 7th interview with their team.  Analysis paralysis to say the least, the leadership lacks ability to make a decision and communicate properly to talented candidates.  They show up late to interviews, rush through it, and no follow up.  Don't waste your time or energy.  Also during the process I learned about numerous regulatory gaps in privacy and security where fundamentals were communicated to not be in place at all.  Then I found out that several key C-level execs just left after only a short time there, so I can only imagine what they went through trying to course correct these deficiencies.

A typical day of work is a lot of meetings, high volume of work while being understaffed. I had to learn skills for managing time and rapidly shifting priorities. Senior management and VP are remote or absent. They talk about an open culture but absolutely do not practice it. I've never seen such undermining and retaliation against staff. Going to HR for guidance is futile.

The company is generally good except there is zero work life balance. There is talk, but you are encouraged to work whenever you are needed. The issue is, more and more and more and more and more work gets assigned to you. I’ve never worked on so many projects at the same time. Thus, you are needed 24/7. It was not unusual to clock in at 7am and clock out at 10pm only to do it over again the next day. No one cares. They care when things don’t deliver. I did the work of 3 employees and finally made me just find a different job. 

High turnover. Employees have either been there for multiple years or less than one year. 
Lab manager will rush your work and expect the same level of quality. All goals set by the lab manager are reach goals, unrealistically obtainable. frustration mounts when goals cannot be obtained. Instead of running the numbers for an objective solution, a scape goat is used the explain the teams failure to meet the goals.

The work is very repetitive, easy work.
Management will never take ownership of mistakes and will find anyway possible to put blame on any and everyone else. If they find that you are trying to fix their problems they will try to stop you and make you feel like you are doing something wrong. They will make you hate working there until you decided to quit. 

I did make great life long friends though. Probably the only good thing that came out of working here.

I feel like the company genuinely cares about its people and patients.  The work is fast-paced, rewarding, and the people who work here are incredibly smart and talented.  Great benefits and competitive pay.  Everyone here works hard but is fun and a genuinely nice person.

Micromanagement, management passes blame for anything that goes wrong on to whoever is convenient.

You are split from the rest of the company in California, which makes you feel like the problems aren't being seen by the company at large.

Great foundation of training is given for new employees & has a great system of references to go back to later for any further questions. Lab leads are very helpful and very kind in helping answer all questions! Staff is super friendly and easy to get along with. The work is very repetitive but it keeps you on your feet & busy throughout your workday. 

Veracyte is a small diagnostic company with two tests that help to keep patients out of the operating room for unnecessary surgeries. The two tests include; Afirma and Percepta.
