Vertech

Vertech is an engineering firm that provides services to a lot of different customers in different industries so there are many chances to work on different projects. The culture is supportive so you won't feel too stressed about project work (occasionally some scope changes in the project by customers and some on-site supporting work might be a little stressful for new engineers). 

It has been growing during my tenure there to be a much larger team, so many new faces have been introduced to the team these years. 
As a fresh grad or an early-career engineer, you will need to be "lucky" to work on a big-impact, fully-scoped project so that you can get trained well, and thus get promoted later on. There are so many projects but limited tech leads who have experience and time to guide you. The employee-to-manager ratio is a little bit too high so your manager may not be fully aware of what you have done. Also, your skill might not improve very fast as many projects are very similar, and a lot of times you just feel you are doing repetitive tasks.

Other than this Vertech is a very fun and energetic place for you to be a part of. You just need to be super proactive to seek chances for yourself or showcase your project work in company-wide events. Just do your best to explore more among its huge project base and enjoy the team. You will learn a lot there if you really want.

If you are in the earlier part of your career, you will gain a lot of skills quickly.  No one is going to hold your hand, but help is there if you ask.  They do a variety of SCADA projects in a number of industries: water, waste, solar, food & bev.  The majority of the SCADA work will be in Ignition as that is their focus.  There are opportunities for database work, PLC programming etc.  Great place for a 1st or 2nd job out of college for gaining skills.  Owners are good people.  Management structure is going through growing pains as the company grows and may or may not be an issue for you.

Being a part of the Vertech team (or control freaks, as we like to call it) really has been the best thing to happen for my professional development. I think it all boils down to the culture. Vertech strives to deliver the best of the best when it comes to automation solutions, and it does so without feeling bogged down by your typical corporate red tape. 

The technology you work with is awesome and fascinating, and you get the chance to collaborate directly with some really cool clients. I've grown a lot as a fellow Vertechian and will continue to grow and learn more.

Vertech was a fantastic place to work at. Management really foes care about your happiness and growth. If I could have stayed there longer, I would have. No matter what position, you are treated well. 

As field service Tech, I spend all the time on the job site. Therefore had no daily interact with people in the office and the difficult part of the job is trying to get task done without the support from office. I enjoyed travel and meet the new people all the time.

Genuinely engage in good conversations with each and every employee. I believe it would be a good idea to initially talk to an individual alone but make them comfortable. Then ask all of them together so they feel confident in each other to speak out.

i was in commissioning and loved it. unfortunately they decided to get out of the solar business. we got to fly to several different states to work and i enjoyed it.

Hr department does not tell the truth,
The other employees are good people, management is lacking in every aspect. Management is also not truthful and will play games.

This is a very fun company to work with, with exceptional training and support for each assignment.

Excellent company to be part of, but I was laid off due lack of work load.  Would come back if possible. Lots of different projects, training, and growth.
