great promises from recruiter claiming independent practice, lots of personal time, great income, no call just look at the add - reality is very different. 

Pay per encounter and building up "your practice" fully depends on your "practice manager" who are almost all useless. 

You ear via fee schedule  (you get approx. 40% they take 60% of your encounter), you drive around but mileage reimburse is $0.30 and they pocket the rest. You pay for everything, your tools like curettes and scalpels etc and it's deducted immediately from your paycheck  they don't pay for 401k or any retirement, you have to go to conference and later on you don't get reimbursed, no paid time-off,  taking vacation is almost impossible because no one covers for you and facilities need weekly visits as they expect consistency
when you finally take some vacation  you have no income.

If you look up the MDs in some key positions like Chief Information Officer or the VP or Operations its very interesting what you find out about their past and how their MD license was revoked. 

Owner also brought on-board family members with no medical background but ego out of this world. In summary it's GREED, exploiting employees and stuffing their pockets.

Management DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS OR IDEAS. They expect you to read their minds as you run around like a chicken without a head with no sense of direction. They respect you more when you play dirty as upper management loves watching their employees claw at each other. If you turn your back for one second, those that smile in your face will throw you under the bus. No job stability, no loyalty nor integrity for human beings. A surface example of this is that while they won't match your retirement fund nor pay for your medical equipment, they will match your charitable contributions to look like they care to the public. The amazing reviews that they beg employees for so often are another way they expose their own ingenuity. The pay and the PTO are great, but people hardly take time off because the CEO changes his mind every 0.5 seconds and they are fearful of losing their livelihoods. You can be fired for breathing the wrong way or outshining the wrong people. It's like working in the wild wild west. Get ready.

Since I began my journey with Vohra, it has been nothing but pleasant! It is a fantastic company that is rapidly growing and offers an excellent opportunity for work-life balance. My experience at Vohra has been what I am seeking in my career. The Vohra organization has a great leadership team that supports you, and the company provides excellent compensation and benefits!
What stands out to me in my role as a Client Relationship Manager, I will never be stagnant or bored with my job responsibilities. Every day is an exciting new challenge which makes the position fun and rewarding! I admire that our leadership team makes a significant effort to team building and improve work culture daily! In my past work experiences, many companies do not take the time to build and enhance a good work culture. Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful! I worked at Vohra for a couple of years, leaving primarily because wound care is a very physical job and I have back problems.  Vohra trains you in wound care and then continues to offer support.  Pay is less than I think it should be but in general that's true of health care.  The company is definitely physician centric and very supportive.  Because they work as contractors with nursing homes, it is fairly common to lose even a large portion on your practice for political reasons.  I think it is a great alternative if you are burned out.  They also do accept non-boarded physicians.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support and totally depend on the clinician to manage facilities and expect us to “ beg” for patients and “ wounds” , and many times the supervisors or nurses are not helpful . 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not sure there is a lot of gaps between what we are told and taught and practice .  
Also income is so much lower than what expected or told 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Drive to many facilities /  nursing  homes and wait for a nurse to round , then check old and new  wounds .  Support in general depends on facility and poor .

Extensive customer service and training. Registration, enrollment, medical billing and claims coding 
•Intermediate understanding of Explanation of Benefits form (EOB), Managed Care Contracts, Contract Language and Federal and State Requirements 
•Intermediate knowledge of hospital billing form requirements (UB-04) 
•Intermediate understanding of ICD-9, HCPCS/CPT coding and medical terminology 
•Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills 
•Advanced business letter writing skills to include correct use of grammar and punctuation.

SAVE YOUR TIME! They will hire you and expect you to know everything from their 500+ page manual, then fire you a week later for not producing and making sales. Senior level management is poor and you WILL be micromanaged. Pay is once a month and there is no 401k match. Beware of this company. They will sell you a dream during their 5 person panel interview and when you get there it is nothing like what you were told. This place is a true call center. Too much politics and if you were not there from the beginning then good luck. Apply somewhere else.

Working for Vohra was a great career move for me. The company is the leader in its industry and primed for continued growth.
The management team is very collaborative in its approach and allows all team members to have a voice.
The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that our physicians provide a great service of wound management for an under-served population. The physicians are experts in the field and receive continued training and guidance from the Vohra clinical affairs department.
I'd highly recommend Vohra Wound Physicians to prospective job seekers, physicians and staff alike.

The thing that most stands out about working for this company is how quickly they have expanded their lines of business in just a couple of years and how that growth has put a lot of stress on the employees who all seem to agree that the work environment and culture has changed to one that is unpleasant, unstable and unpredictable where people fear getting fired at any given moment despite years of positive contributions and more than satisfactory annual evaluations.
