Too much work for little pay. 9-10 hour days with only a 30 min lunch. Mess with hours to give you less than 40 hours of pay. Upper management has no empathy or appreciation for workers. Even when there are state of emergency snow storms and the bank does not close, you are required to come in. If you are unable to come in due to hazardous roads they are upset and make you feel guilty for putting your life first. When a bad accident happened to a coworker due to a snow storm and i saw how bad it was because they were open and there was no empathy or concern for our safety, i knew this was not a company i was proud to be apart of. There are other negatives that i have witnessed and also been treated that also led me to leave. I had a couple of awesome coworkers that kept me sane while working there. We actually kept each other sane, as we were experiencing and witnessing the same things. Again all the drama, politics, and lack of care for employees for the type of pay offered, not worth it.

Wayne Bank is  a great company to work for....I don't even know where to begin! You are paid a decent starting wage, receive full benefits and 401K retirement plan, plus paid holidays and time off. The schedule is Mon-Fri. with alternating Saturdays (which is only a half day anyway).
Every job has its stressful moments, but as a customer service focused job that goes with the territory. Also as financial institution there are a lot of regulations to be mindful of...so bring your positive attitude and willingness to learn. 
Wayne Bank also does a lot of promoting within and a degree is not required for all positions...so your hard work, determination and old fashioned common sense will pay off. You are the only one standing in the way of your success here.

A typical day at work would be performing the basic banking transactions such as cashing checks, withdrawals, deposits, making official checks and money orders. Also maintaining the ATM and vault, ordering debit cards and checks. Answering the phone and performing great customer service, as well as in the branch.
I've learned so much while working here. I want to say that this is the first job to ever to do so much as a teller. 

I feel as the management is excellent and I wouldn't change a thing.

The hardest part of my job is that you need to balance your drawer at the end of the day even if you had so much money coming in and out your drawer.

I do like the people I work with and the customers as well.

One will typically work 36-39.5 hours/week.  Depending on the location one might work up to 3 Saturday’s during the month. 

Most of the customers are pretty nice and the regulars come in on a daily or biweekly basis. Some will get upset because you ask to verify their ID (it’s a local bank so you should know everyone). 

It’s pretty basic. Make sure you’re not short or over with your money. If you want to make it a career... the pay doesn’t add up to the work unless you delegate it all out to others. Working with a small team means everyone hopefully better get along if not it’s not fun at all. 

My personal experience as an employee working for wayne bank has been completely and utterly confusing they do everything backward your first day they throw you on a register and over whelming  you with different things and assume you supposed to know everything your second day at work after work there for 2 month they treat you like a baby and assume that you don't know basic or common sense  about banking the manager nitpick and complaint about stupid stuff and situations that doesn't have any thing to do with you

I have never worked for a company with such disregard for their employees. The executive management is an absolute embarrassment to the organization which they should know from the amount of turnover. Especially in the New York offices. Executive management had no idea what is going on most times and is very inappropriate including but not limited to, swearing, implying that an individuals marital status is a sign of their ability to perform their job and their favoritism towards employees.

Everything starts out great, awesome people, management that seems to care, but once you're settled the masks come off. There's favoritism, coworkers are unwilling to do anything, management does not address issues. They tell you "just ignore it". I've gone to HR for problems with zero positive outcome or change, was just told that they are aware they have issues bank wide that they are working on. Suffice to say I no longer work there and will not be looking back, also closed all my accounts as I was a customer before I was an employee.

Supervisor was bossy and extremely aggressive. She would scroll on Instagram and TikTok all day. If you opened your phone once, she would yell at you and tell on you to the manager. I opened my phone to message my doctor, and I got written up for it. They purposely embarrass and belittle autistic people as well as POC and LGBTQ. Both of the managers constantly speak badly about all of the customers after they leave.

When started there 17 years ago, the company was very customer and employee friendly.  Since it has grown and added branches, it became very competitive. If a customer threatens to leave the bank, they no longer care unless you have several thousand in your account. People retired from the bank and now employees are resigning or just walking out. It is very sad.

I love Wayne Bank! What a great company. The employees are very friendly and driven to get the work done as a team. The atmosphere is very welcoming and not stressful. There is plenty of room for growth if you are serious about your job! 
Many events and incentives to keep everyone engaged. 
I’d recommend Wayne Bank to anyone!
