This was my first job after completing grad school. I had a three hour orientation that was just a presentation about the history of the company and tutorial of how to use the EMR system (during which the computer being used died twice). I also was never supervised when I was treating clients. Not once and this was my first time working as an OT and with this population. The organization felt very disorganized and scrambled from the start. My supervisor was even explaining how benefits started 90 days after my start date... if I was still there (as in working for Wellbound). That remark just made me question a lot about the professionalism of the company and wonder why the turnover rate was so high. They had also just switched EMR systems in 2020 so why would they want to switch EMR systems AGAIN in 2021...? Lack of overall communication, respect, and professionalism from co-workers and bosses. Not to mention that the company had completely lost my documents I had sent over (ie. passport, insurance, drivers license etc) and couldn't even take accountability for that and instead blamed it on HR. I hope that they are able to realize that creating a positive work environment/experience will help retain better quality therapists and then they wouldn't have to scramble every few months to find new therapists. The pay is very nice but not worth the stress and chaos that comes with it.

In terms of caseload, pay rate and supervision, Wellbound can't be topped by any job I've had since I got my C's. The case managers go out of their way to cluster students in neighborhoods to minimize travel, leading to easier trips and shorter work days compared to working in a school, with a much less demanding caseload. The pay rate is fantastic, particularly if you've recently graduated and ESPECIALLY if you're coming from per diem work. Wellbound offers PTO, insurance, generous monthly bonuses for finishing your notes in a timely manner, and a 401K plan. Semonique, the ST supervisor, is the most helpful, organized, and genuinely caring supervisor I've ever had. She cultivates a community of STs that feel supportive, so if you're ever in need of help or have a question you have a fantastic base of knowledge to always reach out to. Overall, I cannot recommend this company enough!  

The job as a whole is extremely rewarding in the clientele that I treat, and the flexibility in choosing my own schedule is great as well. While the pay is pretty good, the other benefits are not good at all (no 401k/retirement option, no continuing education allowance or options, no dental/vision/disability insurance, health insurance option has good coverages but is prohibitively expensive - nearly 10% of your salary!). Management and admin people are wonderful but there seems to be high turnover with them as well with clinical staff in the field. Communication is also lacking from admin and HR, maybe due to the turnover as well. 

The management keeps changing by people either leaving or being fired. Currently, there are no clinical supervision for speech, occupational and physical therapy. Therapists are being given responsibilities beyond the scope of practice. There is no communication back and forth between therapists and administrators. No job security because you don’t know if you are going to get fired for asking questions. The patients are great and probably will not be serviced easily because of being on Medicaid. Some of the addresses are drug infested neighborhoods. There are also some middle class neighborhoods. The pay is good. If you are full time and don’t meet your quota, pay is subtracted from your PT0. Benefits are poor.

Wellbound before known as Amber Court at Home has going thru administration changes and new implementations of EMR software this year 2020. The company allows therapist providers to schedule and choose the patients from their open cases list - "scheduling flexibility." Communication needs improvement with supervisors or (office staff).  There is lack of information on keeping workers updated with new cases (taking several days to confirm cases that are available). Rates are appropriate for home health services.  

I joined the company in February of 2021 after more than 10 years of nursing experience. From the very first day - Wellbound makes you feel like home. Management team is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. Wellbound is a company that create such a friendly, welcoming and supportive work environment that you want to produce a great result.  Wellbound gives me a room to grow, to learn and to master skills in services that we are providing. They are utilizing newest technology on the market which is very important nowadays. It is an absolute pleasure to work at Wellbound.

I have been working at Wellbound as an SLP for 5 years, and it has been a pleasure. I am not micromanaged, therefore I have the ability to service my clients with autonomy. There are numerous cases to choose from, so I am able to acquire clients in my preferred area. Wellbound is relatively new so they are always looking for ways to improve as a company. They seek out and are receptive to the feedback of the therapists. The administration is responsive and attentive to the needs of their clients and staff. They respect and value their therapists - which is evidenced by their competitive rates. 


I truly enjoyed my years working under Wellbound as a speech therapist. Management was always kind and fixed any concerns I ever had. They never pushed me to take cases that did not fit my schedule and actively tried to give me cases that would work. The pay is more than fair, I have worked both full time and part time and was happy with the compensation. I always felt respected and listened to. There is a lot of schedule flexibility in this job depending on the families you are assigned to. Overall, Wellbound is a wonderful agency to work for. 

I have been with Wellbound a few months now and, I can say, this is the type of company I was looking to be a part of.   The management is so supportive and they really want you to succeed.   They appreciate their employees! The culture is open communication and friendly, and management does not micromanage you, they hired your for a job and they expect you to do the job.  A concept some companies to not understand.  I am very happy that I accepted my position with Wellbound and I look forward to growing with them in the future.

The DPS, Sherifat, is without a doubt the best management I've ever worked under. I always felt supported working with her. The work culture was great. 9-5 meant 9-5. Pay started out low, but there are raises and bonuses. Caseload was overwhelming at times. Easier than most other office jobs because you don't have to deal with patient complaints much. Mostly interacted with the nurses. It's a good place to start out and get experience in case management, but if you move on you'll find much better pay.
