Loved my crew including those that left our store or company for better, upper management is unfit for the position and applies heavy favoritism & nepitism. He would withhold raises after telling us we have been promoted as well as informing us in an unprofessional way. Always had a demeaning attitude towards crew members who had a better grasp on day to day functions better than himself. He enforced store policy very unfairly, was not equal across the board, what one person would get a warning for, others would be terminated. As well as dragged his feet on terminations that ate up valuable hours for employees that would work. Took over 8 months to terminate multiple employees who no call no showed months in a row and let them use sick or pto hours. Again, the employees did not show up for months in a row with no call or no show and he would use store hours and forbid us from terminating. 

I liked working there for maybe the 1st year and a half I was there(2 and a half years total) New manager came in and cut my hours. I was 1st in spiff and helped us win many company wide contests before she cut my hours. Was first in sock sales for the district. After my hours cut we didn’t win any contests anymore. If I wanted to talk about my hours or I had concerns about her accidentally taking one of my spiff orders I would be told to stop complaining or stop crying. If I couldn’t come in on an hours notice for an employee who called out I would be told that new people would be taking my hours when I had a non working car or was out in town already and would have had to race home and get work appropriate attire. She would also schedule me on days that I had another job and then be upset that I couldn’t come in after it was explicitly stated I had work that day. Got so bad that I got 3 hours a week while less productive and newer employees would have 15-20. Great place to work with incentive based programs that will motivate you just some managers will make it harder for you to work there and HR is no help.

Let me start off by saying I’ve worked at warehouses before I’ve done a mans job before as well, and let me just say WSS is NOT worth it. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY GOOD HOURS. It is legitimately a job for a high school kid or a person coming out of high school or someone who is completely a dingus and doesn’t know what they’re worth. They have you running legit back and fourth up and all around that store, they don’t care about your personal life, they don’t care how many hours you need or how hard you work, everyone who is already working there will treat you like you are nothing and there is no room to move up especially when they have 9 supervisors 10 assistant managers and like 15 leads. They never ONCE trained me at my job and wondered why things weren’t how they wanted it. They WILL cut your hours if another employee needs them. There is definite favoritism in the work place and the store I worked for was a complete mess. Everyone who worked there was either sleeping with another employee or sleeping with bosses . COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. 
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I've been working here as a graphic designer since August 2015, and in that time I've become acclimated to the workflow in a large, corporate environment. Whether it be pitching ideas to upper management or handling multiple assignments for small to large scale marketing activations, in a year's time I've grown as a creative in various areas. A typical day will begin with the art director giving a run-down of assignments due that week, and the team will divide-and-conquer from there. Some days there will be a lot of small assignments due, some days the graphics team will be focused on one large project, but every day there is a steady workflow so things don't get stale. The hardest part of the job is turning down the donuts that people from other departments occasionally bring in.

Oh, what can I say about my time at WSS? So I was hired on as a standard team member, as everyone is. I was told the company was going to be opening up a new store in Houston and they needed our help getting it set up and we would also be working there as well. It was a complete and utter disaster from start to finish. First off, the management team were also all brand new to the company, except for the general manager of the store. To sum it all up the store was (still is) VERY disorganized, there were employees scattered all around an already crowded store, the managers had no experience managing, and to top it all off, NO HOURS! They played the favoritism game very quickly once the new store opened and you only get hours if you are one of the manager's favorites. Also the shifts were LONG and exhausting, I would sometimes work a 10+ hour shift and asking for a 10 minute break created a huge issue. My advice is DO NOT APPLY! There are plenty of other jobs out there.

At the phx store the store manager james wouldn't know how to run a store if it slap him in the face and HR is even lazier the dirt on the floor could and would manage this store and HR better then he can or better the HR the only people that supported me and help me was the sales associates and that is if they could the store manager would tell them to not help out but a the store meetings he would tell everyone to help out when you ask for assistance and when the CO needs help, help them and then when someone walks out/runs out or stuff and you do not stop them they blame you for not doing your job and they know you can't go hands on so of you are looking or thinking to work here it's a good job to have but jist doesn't ever work at james store 

warehouse shoe sale is fast paced workplace with a lot of work you can find to do sweep the store,clean bathroom,break room,clean the front windows, dust etc. What I learned while working with this company is to be patient with customers and speak a little bit of Spanish also watching properly how open and close a store. The management at warehouse shoe sale was very friendly if you had any questions you can ask management and they would not give you any of of attitude, if you did not understand how to do something they would explain it then they'd show you if you did not understood how they explained it.The hardest part of the job would of been having to keep a eye out making sure that nobody comes in trying to steal anything.The most enjoyable part while working there is that you get to meet all kinds different people on a daily biases.

I feel like they’re more focused on how the company looks rather than how their employees are being treated. We get constant rude customers yet aren’t allowed to kick them out or and have to “suck it up”because “they’re spending their money” in our store. We’re the ones that deal with them and not management because they’re too busy in the back office so it’s easy for them to say to deal with it. The hours aren’t all that great either. They say they’ll work with ur schedule but it’s not always that way. Hours are determined by eoms most of the time, UNLESS SHORT STAFFED,  so if you don’t get many you get less hours. when short staffed they finally need you to come in all of a sudden you’re their #1 employee (: other than this 
My coworkers were great I never had a problem with a single one!!! Discount on shoes, clothes,kids stuff !! We don’t deal with customers until 9am if you open morning shifts at 6am ! ;)

A typical day at work would be open and count my register and shipment started and price and display open store make sure store is clean no trash restroom clean all lights on parking lot clean. I learned how to offer customers similar products to customers that they couldnt find in store and never leave empty handed and also how to supervise others.My managment team was great i loved working with all of them. coworkers were very helpful we all helped each other out and that was great closing would be fast and easy.the hardest part of my job would be making sure that no one left empty handed so we had to work really hard for that to make our weekly sales goal. Seeing all customers happy about our customer servies and enjoying their shooping experices at WSS would be the best part of my job.

WSS was a very productive and fun to work at. My hours were different every week depending what my task was gonna be. I got so much experience working in inventory control. Got my skills better in things that i didn't have confidence. Management was okay. My directory was replaced and that is when everything began to change. The way things where being done differently. They wouldn't really recognized me for the hard work i would do. i honestly didn't think the job was hard at all, because i love taking new task and like to challenge myself, so my work experience can get better. The most enjoyable thing was when i would have to travel up to North California and Las Vegas, Nevada. I would drive to the locations and that was the fun part, because i explored new places. Overall it was a great and fun job.
