The job itself is pretty easy, and I’ve met some fun coworkers along the way. However, the lack of structure is a big issue, and it feels like favoritism is rampant among management. It’s tough to bring up problems since there’s no confidentiality, which makes for a pretty uncomfortable work environment. The laid-back vibe that some employees love just doesn’t sit well with those of us who are trying to put in real effort. We want structure and genuine leadership, not just people with titles who don’t pay attention.

Another frustrating thing is the yearly reviews. If you don’t do your own review, you end up with a score of 3% or lower. And if you don’t score over a 3%, there’s no compensation, so over half the employees got $0. It really feels like you have to advocate for yourself just to get a fair assessment, which is super disheartening. Plus, no shift differential means working late doesn’t come with any extra perks—just the grind of a Monday to Friday routine.

I could keep talking about this place, but if you want a spot where you can  slack off, and see favoritism decide who gets promoted or has less work while others get rewarded for doing less, then this might be the place for you.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working for an employer that neglects the well-being and advancement of employees of color can be disheartening. They have consistently imposed degree requirements on employees of color, even when similar roles do not require such qualifications for others. This practice not only underscores a lack of genuine support for diversity but also perpetuates unequal opportunities within the workplace.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At the outset, before the new HR Manager was hired, the workplace atmosphere was notably different. Once she joined the team, she did implement various new policies and procedures, but her approach lacked empathy and compassion. Her rigid enforcement of these policies often felt impersonal and disconnected from the needs of employees, exacerbating feelings of dissatisfaction and alienation among the staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Review and respond to emails, addressing inquiries, and handling urgent issues.

Your coworkers will be the best part of this job as long as they stick around or don't get fired for no reason. New management has taken over and with that no sense of direction at all, a bunch of misinformation and sitting on hands in this company. Plenty of problems and no one to solve them. Pay sucks and if you get promoted to anything that you work hard for they slap you in the face with an abysmal offer of a promotion raise. Floor manager for shipping sits in his office all day, cool guy terrible supervisor doesn't come out to get to know anyone or see how the job works. Work here if you're desperate for a check or really need the work but to be honest you'll have a better time at fast food especially since there if you get a raise or promotion the money would actually be worth it. All you'll experience here is everyone being underpaid and unhappy, them saying they'll change the culture but turning around and doing nothing. In short, pay sucks, the work is easy but sucks, you'll be doing nothing fulfilling and if you want a sense of direction or belonging this place ain't it. 

They give no raise no matter how well you work or how many different jobs you learn . But let you miss a day it's the end of the world. Most people that work here are great. Then you have the people that will talk about you to make themselves look Good. You have the waldom shipping side who are grown women suppose to be a boss with the auditor  who talk about everyone but act friendly to your face. If you choose to work here I suggest you stay to yourself. There are a few good people there. Management is horrible They will pull good people on the office and talk to you but not to the people who don't know how to do their job. As I mentioned before no matter how much you help them out there will be NO RAISE. No matter how long you work there no matter how well you do. When you start they make it seem like a good company but they do not care about their employees. 

The job itself was not hard, fairly simple work, as long as you can follow simple directions and took time to do it correctly. As a picker you fill orders for Waldom's customers so they can be shipped out on time and correctly. There are good people that work there but also a lot of younger people that don't seem to take pride in their work, doing the bare minimum to get by. Waldom seems to act like they care about their employees but its more of an act. They have holiday parties, contests, and raffles but also very little room for advancement. They purged most of the workers that had been there for decades to make room for younger, cheaper labor.

The new HR and management have completely ruined the place. You won't get a raise unless you suck up. You will not move up in the company unless you are "friends' with a manager. The people who don't work get the most recognition.

While the ones who do work just get more jobs to do with no more pay. They don't care if you are in the hospital with a major sickness instead they will fire you. I wouldn't work here if it was the only place left to work on earth. If u value your happieness and mental health stay far away from this place.

Trying to change to corporate rules and it's just not working. Employees are being cheated out of money and time off, things are promised but never given. Safety is clearly not a concern at waldom, will not listen or take suggestions from warehouse workers. Upper management does not care, sweep things under the rug until someone notices. They do not like women or people who ask questions and stand up for themselves.

You would go work your tail off and then people would talk about you try to fight you and it's not even people your age I'm talking about full grown adults

Waldom is a great place to work whether you are just starting out and it's your first job or if you've been around the block and are looking for something new. Waldom is a place with many opportunities for advancement if you put the work in and always look to promote from within. They have decent benefits, great PTO policy and good wages. Are also constantly growing.

There's a lot of favoritism and you are assigned jobs based on gender. They promise growth opportunity but unless you are  their pets, you won't get offered. There are no individual progress reports or constructive criticism. If you do get a job advancement, your pay is the same or slightly raised. Instead of providing updated, SAFE equipment, they provide you with unhealthy FREE pop .
