This company is unable to get out of its own way and it all starts at the top. The CEO is(no nice  way to say this) is a self important narcissist that is completely out of his depth and demands unrealistic results and than proceeds to get abusive angry when they arent met. This in turn creates a toxic work environment where the management hounds the workers to get more numbers out while simultaneously doing nothing to actually facilitate that process. When pressed on this managements canned response(they are big on those) pretty much seems to be to always pass the buck on down the line and avoid taking any responsibility at all costs. They dont want to be held responsible for bad results but you better believe when they have good results the jokes that are the “executives” in this company will suddenly appear driving exotic cars and whatnot. In fact in September of 2019 the company  laid off over 30 people and the executives didnt seem to see why anyone thought them driving their porsche’s and Mercedes in on the day they did it seemed tacky and classless...thats the kind of people you are dealing with here...its quite sad really.

The business itself is a stones throw away or two from a scam. They buy the absolute cheapest clothing they can find and sell for a ridiculous markup to a frankly gullible customer base(sorry, its true, if you buy from here you are getting RIPPED OFF) we are talking selling cheap $10 tee’s for around $45-50. To encourage you to buy this overpriced junk they include a $20 “styling fee”(a human might spend 6 or minutes actually “styling” anything, and by styling I mean pushing whatever they have a bunch of in inventory, NO they dont really read the notes much) which they will “waive” if you purchase some of their overpriced poorly made clothes, but either way they make 20 dollars a box no matter what so getting as many orders out the door as possible is really their business model as opposed to any kind of actual customer oriented service. 

Simply put this place cares very little for its employees or customers, employees are just bodies to get the orders out the door and customers are just disposable $$$ machines to them. The people at the top only care about being rich and the owner would much rather bring in his unqualified buddies fromhigh COL areas and overpay them to do a bad job. Thats without even getting into the fact that he is almost certainly got his hands in the company coffers in an unscrupulous way and has his friends help hide that.

In closing all I can really say is every job has its problems and no where is perfect but this place is just chock full of bad faith management. They are out to cover their own butts and thats just about it. If you need a job and can separate yourself from the BS this place is all about than it can be tolerable. But understand this isn’t a comapny most people are going to get any growth from and the higher ups just arent worth going the extra mile for. Make your money. Go home.

Where do I start? This place is a mental health PIT. Never have I worked somewhere with so many(supposedly) full grown adults, we are talking people well into their 30s and 40s that just never got out of a high school clique mentality.

 The managers and supervisors all kind of group thenselves together and will shoot the breeze casually amongst each other while only being polite enough to not seem rude to all the other workers, it comes across as incredibly calculated and deliberate. It feels like the higher ups have told management to not be to kind or friendly to the “help” thats just what it feels like. 

Harassment from certain managers has also been an Issue in the past. Like literally the old recieving manager would literally follow certain(female) employees around to try and create problems while avoiding doing his own job...I can say it bordered on creepy. 

The younger blonde supervisor seemed to only be about ladder climbing and would not really help you at all, she was nice when she wanted something though. 

We would be absolutely swamped with the company asking people to stay late and she still would only site there, or worse walk around and push people to work faster and harder while she would be as lazy as possible. 

This is really one of the few jobs in my life I have had that had no upside. The strangest part to me was how much they initially pushed this place as a start up, but once you are there it feels like somewhere that wants to be more corporate(never mind that they have been in business around 8 years lmao)I never had much interaction with the big guys that ran the show, but from what I hear in the floor they don’t have a good vision for where this place is going and since they started having 2 shifts 7 days a week I can only assume they are struggling to stay profitable. 

Overall it is an easy job that if it was better ran could be a fun place to work, but as it is you are better off just looking for something that won’t drain your mental health long term. You aren’t going to retire from this place and I would be pretty shocked if they were still around in 3 or 4 years as they dont even do the whole subscription box thing very well. They are almost always hiring for a reason me thinks.

This job is a great fit for anyone who wants a warehouse job where you mostly work by yourself, listen to music/podcasts, and are rewarded for being productive. All you do is pick orders (just clothing, nothing complicated), pack orders neatly like a gift box, process returns, put items away in bins, and do other occasional tasks like make boxes, operate the shipping label station, or help deal with lost items and orders with problems. Yes, it's repetitive and numbers-oriented, but they reward you with big raises if you're fast and don't make a lot of errors. Basically, you can either earn $1, 2, or 3 an hour above the starting amount of $15 depending on which level of associate you reach. They track your numbers with a weekly rate and tell you your stats regularly. Only a handful of people are at the top level because those people are seriously fast and hyper focused, but pretty much anyone who is careful and hardworking can get moved up one or two levels.

The drawback is that they hire practically anyone and so there are a lot of unreliable employees who quit or get fired. Like people who call in sick after two days, or people who show up stinking like pot, or people who are late but wander in with no urgency, or people who can't follow really basic instructions. If you are a normal functional adult who is even remotely responsible, you will outperform half of the people here in no time. They really need to be pickier when they hire people. It seems like a lot of effort is wasted constantly hiring and training bad employees who will be gone days later. Maybe that's just how it is nowadays and with a pool of workers like we have in this city. Some of them seem pretty shady, too, so I doubt they do any kind of background checks on people. The good thing is that after you're there a few months, the "regular" workers who have been there a while feel a little like a family despite all the turnover.

As a stylist you sit on your laptop your entire shift and style orders and it can get excruciatingly boring. We have ridiculous goals to achieve. If we are behind on goals we get told we need to hurry up and yelled at. We are expected to reach 6-10 orders an hour, I fear for my job when I fall behind. I am scared to even use the bathroom or have a meeting for fear that I will get in trouble. 

And now comes the problem with inventory, they had us send out sweaters, jeans, and jackets in SUMMER! So obviously customers were upset and left us bad reviews. Well even though we were TOLD to send out this stuff we still get reprimanded when our scores go down and get reviews saying "you sent me cold weather stuff in the middle of summer".

 Now on to the issue with hours, I am part-time and was promised 32 hours a week. Great! That's just what I'm looking for because I am in school! I think there was one month where I actually had that consistently, now I have 8 hours every other week and am lucky if I reach 25 the next. This is not good for someone with bills etc.. 

This company is a fluke, they overwork the stylist manager and when there is not enough orders they come up with these random "theme boxes" like the End of Summer box, people order them and guess what!? We don't have ANY summer clothes!! & guess who gets in trouble when the customer is upset their summer edit doesn't have summer clothes in it?! The stylists do.

 Also when we run out of orders for the day we are expected to do customer services jobs. They schedule you to work 6-8pm some nights like what?! I never said I was available and then they will schedule you every single weekend! Yes Sundays too!


A typical day at work involved picking orders, processing returns, and putting away inventory. Depending on what you got assigned to do for the day, some of their quotas were unrealistic. For picking, you are expected to complete at least 135 orders for the day, which can only be completed if you are running the entire day. If you were to meet this goal, your quota goal becomes higher. 
Management had bad communication. I was almost always left on voicemail and would almost always get no replies on emails. Supervisors are on their laptops or phones most of the time texting or doing nothing and many of them were always in a bad mood or just rude if you asked for help in anything.
The days can be long especially if you don't like repeating the same task for the whole shift. Pay isn't bad starting at $15/hr and you can get a raise depending if you meet quotas. 
The most enjoyable part is that you can work independently with little to no supervision. You don't have to deal with customers you just focus on your job. You can also listen to music on the job which helps make the day go by a lot quicker.
The warehouse itself is pretty unorganized. I've seen bugs and animal traps hidden in the corners as well as a lot of overstock taking space. There's days where the warehouse is so full that you can't even work comfortably to reach quotas. A lot of work stations are always missing necessary supplies and if not they are broken. 

I gave this company 3years and as long as I was packing 200 orders it was ok but when I started a new job and my focus wasn’t just them anymore it was a problem they immediately took me outta packing and started putting me in places I didn’t usually work and they began to complain about me not packing as much even tho they were barley or not even putting me in packing at all they never cared about me as a employee just a number I would be isolated from others people told not to talk to me by management things only got worse over time as they changed things within the company management was rude and uncaring and if you went to hr none thing was done this company does not care about there employees at all it’s all about the business and fattening there pockets they hired all summer but had no work or hrs for us then hrs picked up for 1 month and then back to the same no hr this is a horrible place to work and the cafe if your not going in there to eat alone or with your co worker you can’t  go in there I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone to work unless you like being just a number and none thing more

I showed up to every shift expecting my paycheck to reflect the workload, but it never came remotely close. The compensation was completely disconnected from the reality of the job. It felt like I was carrying two full time jobs worth of responsibilities for one paycheck, and that kind of imbalance wears you down fast. I was physically drained every day, and the pay was so disappointing that it became impossible to convince myself the sacrifice was worth it. It does not take long to realize the numbers simply do not add up and nobody is going to suddenly decide your work deserves better compensation, so you keep pushing through and hoping for something to change. I kept waiting for someone to recognize what was actually happening, but nothing improved and every paycheck was the same insult. By the time I left, I was completely exhausted and could not justify sacrificing my health for money that never made sense.

This is a company that offers more flexibility than any other warehouse out there. As with any new company there are some growing pains but overall it’s a good place to build warehouse experience and advance within. With reviews being done every 3 months there’s multiple opportunities to raise your pay based on your performance and attendance. There is also a 50% discount on clothing, bus fare reimbursement and a really cool cafe they own where employees can enjoy food or beverage for free. As someone who has worked at many warehouses I would say Wantable is by far a great company to be employed with. And where else can you do this type of work and be able to listen to music on your head phones?! With all this said, if you want to work somewhere where your treated like family, compensated nicely for your hard work and able to have family/work flexibility than this is the place for you! 

Overall, working at Wantable was good. The pay is nice, the hours are good, they offer benefits, but the work is repetitive. Although some people like repetitive tasks it can be boring and makes the day go by slow. They do allow you to listen to music though which is cool, but at times would make me not want to be there. I also recommend not working weekends if you enjoy them. There will be a set schedule based on your availability and if weekends are available they will set your schedule to the same days which could fall into Saturday's and Sunday's with two days off during the week if not communicated. Management is chill I typically have an attitude of come in get the job done so I had no issues with them. Communication between them was great. Nice people to work with as long as you communicate and work as a team. I would recommend this job for anyone who doesn't mind doing repetitive tasks on a daily basis for fair pay who has an easy going lifestyle. 

Productivity numbers are unreal (especially for certain areas such as returns and packing where employees should take extra time to look over every single item), attendance policy is absolutely absurd, literally a dead-end job so not sure why people mentioned room for advancement. There are people who has worked there for 2-3 years that hit all productivity rates and are a till at base pay. Have asked about many other positions that I could easily gain skills for and possibly grow into and was given the runaround because they didn’t want to help you advance. Lost company culture as the company started growing so there is no care of their warehouse employees. Hiring every day and employees would quit within the next week, probably because of almost everything mentioned above. Some of the warehouse employees were very nice though. Let’s not get into management, higher ups, or HR stuff cause that list goes on and on. You lose motivation as soon as you walk into this place. 10/10 would not recommend to ANYONE.
