I clock in, first stock all the shopping carts then sweep entire store floor, unload pallets of store item and refill the shelves on each ale. In my time there I learned how to organize, market and sale items as well as order and receive them. Management was poor. In the one year of working there I've seen five head manager's come and go  leaving us in a constant state of confusion and worry.my co-workers were all nice, friendly hard working people. the hardest part of the job was trying to get more hours to have a decent check to live on. Instead they would often cut my hours and bring me in on the busiest days and get as much work out of me as they can for only sixty dollars a week. The most enjoyable part of the job was its simplicity from my training I could do everything in that store like a manager.

I did frozen here for a while, i was put in frozen alone to take care of the whole department, I was payed the same as the other employees and there really never was any raises, hard work definitely does not pay off here whatsoever. I was expected to take care of the 4 rows of frozen foods and when I didn’t complete the job in the 8 hours I was told I wasn’t working hard enough when Infact I was busting my a** that day so from that point on I half a**ed my way through the day given the fact that whether I do all my work or some
I would still be told at the end of the day that I’m not doing enough. The stress involved with making the orders, stocking everything, and planning end caps and making everything look presentable all in one day was overwhelming so I left the job and I’m doing much better where I am now, where I’m appreciated for hard work and taken care of.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
As an assistant manager, closing 3-4 nights per week and working pallets of display product is really tough unless you are in super shape, and have some young and strong stockers to help you

Great culture, very respectful, no foul language or unprofessional behavior is tolerated

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Check in with manager, check refrigeration, evaluate stock and display needs, order some aisles, condition store, key in and send night reports, secure store for closing.

Wayfield Foods had a great, friendly atmosphere. Customers and Co-Workers were great and I enjoyed working along side and servicing them. However, management and the overall company was very scattered in thoughts, procedures, and just overall maintaining the business. No benefits, no full-time work, no room to improve or receive higher positions. You would have a work load that typically 4 people would need to do, but you were alone. The work load was so intense for me, that I had to eventually have surgery on my back(I'm 25 years old) and they let me go due to paperwork they didn't file.

Pretty laidback and easy work. As a Stock Clerk I would replenish items on the shelves and keep tabs on inventory. The hours are sort of flexible ,but it all depends of management. I had another job that I worked overnight and I let them know this before I applied. The first week was okay and then all of a sudden they scheduled me for store closing times. Obviously that meant it would cut into my other job. After a couple of weeks of dealing with scheduling problems I had to let it go. The people were nice but it didn't pay enough for the few days they did schedule me.

The managers are friendly, they work with your schedule when you are  involved in school activities. Working at Wayfield Foods has been the best decision I’ve ever made. The store culture is amazing, and the sales floor  is full of energy throughout the day. This is my first type of employment and I've really enjoyed my time working with the company , and I would really encourage others to work for the company. Employees are friendly as well.  I've work with several of my schoolmates.

Most of the people who worked there did it just for either fun or just a summer job its a grocery store chain in a low income high crime area and the workers are nice but the customers are really mean. management isnt too bad they are kind and understandable. I've learned how to keep things clean and that i have to pursue the things i love in life on my own time by my self because the people there are useless. It didnt have a hard part besides keeping a smile even when customers are cussing you out. The most enjoyable part is most days are slow.

A typical day at Way field was productive. The store was kept clean and inviting for the customers. I learned alot from my manager. I was taught how to handle the cash office, the employees and the customers. When ever I needed help the manager was there.i had a fun group of people around me. The hardest part was the customers keeping them satisfied. The most satisfying part of the job was balancing the store at the end of the work day.

My experience working at WayField was pretty good. It was my first job at the time and I believe that it was a great introduction into the workforce. The manager at the job was very flexible with us. The hardest part about working at WayField was when it got busy. Being that it was my first job, when we got busy, I was a wreck. The most enjoyable part of my job were my co-workers. We were all young so we could relate to each other causing us to work in sync. I learned how to prioritze and how to leave the customer satisfied.
