The company culture as a whole is very family oriented and flexible with schedules. Very close knit staff even with much of the company being remote. You will not experience the bureaucratic red tape that exists at other large companies in the insurance industry. Management and executives are always requesting feed back on process improvements and often make changes based on employee feedback. 

Claims management is phenomenal and are all former adjusters themselves and understand the challenges of the role both in auto and property. Although it can be very busy during storm season, they do whatever they can to make it easier on adjusters. No writing estimates onsite. They want you to focus on the people aspect of the job. Meet the insured and be empathetic is priority. Collect the facts, complete your scope and write the estimate at home or in the office with accuracy. 

Lastly, fun company events like the annual corn roast and steak fry where each employee gets several pounds of meat from the 4-H fair animals the company purchases.

I came from a large carrier and the change to Wayne has been a great one for myself and family. I am trusted to work remote and have a great working relationship with my manager/team. The claim load is manageable (which is rare) and they empower their employees to improve work processes and procedures. Everyone I have met in the company has been great. Wayne also does a great job in embracing technology and punches above its weight in that space. 

Wayne Mutual is a relationship-style company with their associates, agents, and clients.  They are very thoughtful when it comes to work/life balance and have created a great work environment. I came to Wayne out of law school in a very bad job market. They took a chance on me and were very supportive. Even though I'm no longer there, I still get my insurance through them. It's the only insurance company I've ever dealt with that values people (both employees and customers).
