A typical day at work would be that you show up on time. The foreman give you your job assignments, once you finish that assignment, then you report back to your Foreman for an additional assignment. There's always work available.

What I believe that I've learned so far, honestly... not as much as I could have by this point. The only thing that I received decent training on was my CDL training. The "on the job training" was completely unorganized and there was no set schedule on what would be learned on which days... In my case, I had less than one day of training on the floor before they started having me work on my own. Mind you, this was the first time that I had even been around these vehicles. At this point, a majority of anything that I've learned has been self-taught or from asking multiple people the questions that I have until I find somebody with an answer.
 Management, in my experience thus far... Very disrespectful with the way that they attempt to communicate with their subordinates. Little to no communication amongst each other so that they are all on the same page. Each of the three shifts seems to just do things the way that they want to on their shift without any set plan between each other. I have legitimately heard comments from managers like, "the less money put into the shop, the bigger my bonus at the end of the year." Or "the more that we do with less people, the bigger the bonuses are for us." 
Clearly they haven't been through any kind of communication or bedside manner training. They will speak to you in degrading ways due to your lack of knowledge or questions that you have.

The workplace culture, the company and the Union cater to the drivers and operators in ways that are easily noticeable by any of your fellow coworkers. The way that supervisors communicate is very unprofessional. The organization is lacking and noticed by even the smallest employees.



The paid CDL was the only good thing about this job. . . The "senior drivers"  can take your schedule for no reason if they want it and you'll have to find a whole new schedule. You get the worse schedules when you start there, meaning no weekends off for at least 2 years, you'll be working night shifts or split shifts... The split shifts have more than 2 hours between the shifts so you'll be sitting and waiting in Nashville for hours! The Nashville traffic and commute is HORRIBLE. You may have to drive to Madison,TN one day then drive to the Nestor location another day just to clock in. DO NOT expect to have a life outside of WeGo , there's no work life balance. . .you have to bid on shifts if you want a new schedule and seniority gets first pick and they can "roll" you off your schedule if they like what you have for no reason giving you no peace of mind day to day... I wouldn't recommend anybody work there unless you're getting your CDL through them.

The Professionalism among all Co-Workers the Pay and Benefits as well the overall feeling of being part of Team Servjng the Public from locals to Visitors making sure Transportation is up and beyond regular standards

The Point System It seems to be a little unfair you  can't stop everyday happenings in life that may cause you to be late or miss a day

Versatile and Relaxed everyone seems to work and get alone with each other

Fast pace and fun at times each day seems to be different

The only good thing about this employer they have great benefits but besides anything else it's not worth it

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having to deal with the public and knowing that you're risking your life every day and you're having to deal with a lot is stressful and not only that if you follow "protocol " the supervisor will not come to your aid.

It's bittersweet. You have your good day's and you will also have your bad day's

It's full of surprises so working for this company you don't have typical days.

Benefits are cheap. Great coverage

It's disorganized. Lot's of ideas and meetings. Not much action. Lot's of wasted money on consulting firms and nothing seems to get accomplished.

People are looking for good leadership and are frustrated because they don't feel like they are heard. Good people come and quickly loose faith and leave. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress and frustration. You have to not care to stay there.

I've worked from the small shops to the dealerships as a mechanic, and working for WeGo surpasses them all. I no longer bring the stress of work home with me. It is a union shop, so sonority plays a big part of what shift and location you will be working (Lights never turn off. WeGo is 24/7 365 days) Great group of co-workers/mechanics that are willing to help.

Sometimes you just can’t please everybody

I don’t like the work environment because of where it’s at is not safe and the officers really downtown for nothing everything still happens downtown at Central right in there faces they don’t care to respect nobody not even the law enforcement officers

Scared to be at work danger it’s always something going on

Garbage, they just want to keep the buses rolling maintenance does not upkeep the buses at all i really don't think they know how, i currently work here and have been stuck on the interstate for hours on a broken down bus

Points for weather is my biggest issue and they will not come to get you

ghetto city, Hood Rats....Harrasment

garbage, actually the customers are the BEST

Clocking out, leaving all the toxicity of the workplace behind.

The favoritism, nepotism, unprofessional, and uninvolved management.

Toxic and hostile to new employees who aren't likewise.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and draining sans effective recourse.

Training is excellent, although it is very long, especially for those that already have a CDL. Once you are released from training, you have to big on runs, which can be damning to your home life and work-life balance until you gain enough seniority to get what works best for you. Passengers are often difficult and hard to deal with, constant drama and issues. Great benefits and excellent union.
