This company is poorly run and management only concern is for a body at a post and no job advancement. I had great communication with client but Weiser Management is very busy making mess and do not care to know the person that is keeping the company a float. The management does not have any communication skills and feel threaten when they think they are going to loose an account. I have gone through 5 account manager from 2011 to 2013 and my initial account manager was great but since he moved on due to him being  over work as the Branch Manager and Account Manager and not paying him what he actually was worth, he moved on to greener future. All the rest were managers with very little communication skills or none at most. My New Account manager took a picture with me on his first day at the office and from the messy female branch account manager that was leaving told him some lies that made my last months a living mess to the previous account managers. 
If your want to make very little money and a lot of responsibility  and not getting recognition or raised yearly for great work ethics then this is the place for your.  If you want to have joy in your life this Weiser is not the place for your. There is money in security but not Weiser Security. Too much back biting and favoritism.  When they get new accounts that pay more money they do not tell their officers that has spent many years working for them for nothing and reward the new security officers with better pay, OSHA and TWIC cards that the new officers get it deducted out of the pay while the older officers are kept in the dark about new accounts with more money.  I feel that Weiser is playing a card game with the loser always being the hard working senior officers that have been carrying the work load and not being rewarded for a job well done. My co-workers were great but they reward great working officers with a small gift card to make the officers fell welcome to the fold but it is a way to try to keep you from telling the truth about the games they play to keep you quiet.
Some of the post do not have a water fountain or a restroom in the guard post. No modern A/C or HEAT. Imagine at 30 degrees in a golf cart or 98 degree heat with a golf cart with no A/C. There are security officers working under inhumane conditions and management does not lift a finger to help correct these working conditions. Why should a human being endure so much for so little reward in pay.  Where is the justice in this type of working condition. There is not even a port - potty  and the officers have to go into business to use the restroom. Sometimes they have to sneak offsite to use the restroom.  I had experience this major problem twice and would not wish this on my worst enemy. Long as it does not affect management they could care less because it does not affect them. They have water, a/c, restrooms, heat and they do not have to wear those 100% polyester uniform in all this heat and cold temperature. I think management as well as officers represent Weiser at work and in the public with a type of uniform that promotes Weiser.  The casual dress does not represent Weiser as a continuous marketing campaign. The whole Weiser is missing potential markets due to their disregard for representing Weiser Securities in the market place. Weiser has great security officers in whole but management is not putting in the time to get people trained. They just train to get a body at a post but the officer fails or quite because of inadequate training from some supervisor but not all. If management dislike you for some reason they will not give you adequate hours and will keep you part time while giving more hours to their favorite or buddy in the work place. I wasted much time at this company bring more to the client and making the client dreams come true but found out that management is working against you from the beginning to hold you back. If you do decided to venture into this company use it as a platform to another security agency or company for job advancement and a rewarding future.

Very frustrating and honestly disappointing.

When I first started, I was motivated and ready to do the job. But over time, the role turned into something completely different than what I signed up for. A huge portion of the job became pointless administrative work — excessive Excel sheets, Word documents, screenshots, and even submitting text message proof just to confirm officers were clocking in and out. It felt like micromanagement at an extreme level. I couldn’t tell if this was even a company-wide expectation or just something being pushed at the branch level, but either way it was unnecessary and inefficient.

On top of that, the way feedback was given made things worse. Instead of being constructive, it often came across as overly critical and nitpicky, especially for minor mistakes. It created an environment where it was hard to feel confident in anything I was doing.

I even spoke to previous Account Managers, and none of them dealt with this level of unnecessary documentation or oversight. That made it pretty clear to me that what was being asked wasn’t standard for the role. I understand management can set expectations, but this felt way beyond reasonable and took away from actually managing people and operations.

I have over 7 years of experience managing security teams, so I understand accountability and accuracy — that’s not the issue. The problem is the constant over-scrutiny and lack of trust, which made it nearly impossible to focus on leadership or run things effectively.

Another thing I noticed is the turnover. There have been multiple Account Managers in a short period of time, and even officers in the field were already questioning how long I’d last. That says a lot about what’s going on in that branch.

At the end of the day, I take pride in my work and how I treat my team, but this environment made it difficult to succeed or even want to stay. I’m sharing this because there are clearly deeper issues that need to be addressed if the goal is to keep good people and create any kind of stability.

The good and the bad about this they would take from your race and keep it that was a bad about this if they gave you a raise from the location management will keep that right that was the bad part about it you never thought of management side that's how that went and that was wrong so you might not even get a ride for three to four years management got your rights at headquarters in the office out in Dallas so you never got the right out of three to four years but they were sitting on the money that should have came to you that's what you guys went to every year that they gave you a raise management at the Dallas location off of empire Central got your raise every week every year not you so that's what your race went to every year cost of living when you went down so that's how I felt about it keeping your money and they did not care to give you a raise had no shame and keeping your money that the people from the homeowners association at that location where you worked at all day long 7 days a week gave to you as a raise and you thinking that hey you got a raise and they kept it at wiser at the location in Dallas that's for your money went as you're right and they said on it and kept your money every single year you're right so they were getting their righteous not you and that was wrong so each location throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area if they got a raise from each location of a guard house that location got that right and stuck in their pocket they're the one getting the money and keeping the money and getting their pockets fat and loaded down and you were the one getting broke and stand in on the street and sleeping on the street because they were the one getting fat and loaded down with a hundred thousand dollars a year and you're still making $8 $9 for 5 and 6 years so that's how I felt about it and they would say oh no we didn't get a raise but you did and your last couple years or less is when you found out all your last month is when you found out oh you got a raise but it never showed up on your check.

The ordinary day good or bad depending what job site your at obvious I worked at few locations one is in University Park, IL truck site you taking down trailer, drivers, tractors, attitudes names and numbers also collecting paper work and walking the giant yard making sure trucks that have no bolt deal has a lock on it but very nice people but very poor accommodation no port o potties you have to go in and handle that business, very poor duty hut outside with no printer to make copies dirty they just not fix the leak in 2018. To do that site you have to have the heart of a Lion management is nice but poor wages at least while I was there I believe they are finally getting a dollar raise to twelve that's cool if you plan to have no girlfriend, no financial existence in the world of I need credit and check stubs are one of them they do pay on time and have better sites but everywhere I went there was poor duty huts with foul smells like somebody sleeps in their shoes off. I not trying to be funny or hurt those who gave me opportunity but like I said the management is great they will let you call you off with little warning without writing you up if there is a family emergency or funeral even school a family atmosphere but very poor accomodation duty hutsthe truck site we had too many people quit the job because lack of pay when they give you a pay raise you're still behind most other security jobs the University Park site is a very bust joint if you work 1st shift expect ten page of truck log ins and the people inside the building expect you to make rounds around that big football field size yard once an hour checking locks so you understand why people quit frequently and third shift starts slow but from 3am to five am expected a traffic jam in that yard beast mode style and a lot of paperwork but not worse than first. Hope that satisfies your needs.

This was a good job that came thru during Covid-19 when I had just got laid off my other position and my business went down due to Covid-19.
 This started off good and went to ground level 0 tolerance for me.

The fluctuating checks sucks,  you don't get a whole 40 hours UNLESS YOU WORK OVERTIME,  no benefits, no raises, vacation  is all you get, no 401K, no PTO, no life insurance, no workers comp in case you have a accident. You're on your own if you're a lady and get stuck  at what would look like abandoned properties from the streets. You would think they hired more men for the over night positions and more women for the day positions and make it a thing, but 🤷‍♀️.
You're security and the companies that hire Weiser are the ones that sucks. They have control over the lousy pay without benefits and the messed up work conditions you work in. Weiser apparently need the contracts and don't care about what you would call your well being.  They are all the other things too people have said. This is no sugar coding.  It's a ok company for a little while but it's not for people who want real money.  It's a passer byer for like retired, elderly,  college kids, house wives,  part timers and people who want to just waste time. If you do get a advance as a supervisor,  you only get 1 advance and no more after. 
People have side jobs, extra businesses and more to make their ends meet, so be aware of what you're looking for  before you apply here. 

Being in management, I definitely didn't feel like 'just another number'.  If you need to speak with someone in corporate, you can pick up the phone and get a hold of them.  The pay structure for the management team is pretty aggressive within the industry and they have a very nice bonus structure as well.  Pay for the security officers was generally lower than the competitors and it was tough to get clients to budge much (especially during the first year of COVID).  The absolute biggest downfall is the work / life balance.  Unless you are in a large enough market, you will not have any field support during the hours that you are not working.  You have one Operations Manager that takes a small portion of the portfolio, and an admin assistant that wears the hat of T.A., HR, front desk, etc.  They too, are generally on the very low end of compensation.  The company doesn't believe in paying a group of 'rovers / flex / on-call' officers a little extra money to handle the last minute call-off's, the last minute clients needing coverage, etc.  Their expectation is that a part-timer from another site covers it, the on-site staff covers it, you cover it, or the site goes dark.  Weekends after payday were particularly rough as you'd have more coverage needs than people available.  If they at the least allowed for on-call officers to be paid extra that would make the position much easier to work with.  However, with the antiquated thinking (and technology they use), it is generally just a frustrating position.

A typical night at work third shift can be steady or super busy depending on incoming and outgoing traffic of company employees, truckers, and visitors. A lot of multi-tasking and writing reports while securing premises and viewing cameras for discrepancies.

What I have learned on the job is to breathe, be patient and pay attention to traffic entering and exiting the premises and guiding the truckers to where they need to go.

Management is there and very helpful when needed.

The workplace culture consists of many different races, background and ethnicities from Weiser, the warehouse and the truckers that commute through.

The hardest part of the job is when you need to be alert for employees who have been terminated due to misconduct, fighting, stealing or harassing others on the job and entering truckers who come on premises for daily loads for delivery at the same time because some of the terminated ones try to come back on premises through other cars to try the same antics and catching them while attending to company needs. The attitudes of the truckers also can be hard when they are rude.

The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to multi-task, viewing cameras, paperwork and knowing clients who are always on time coming into the facility.

The work environment here is extremely frustrating and demoralizing. Tasks often feel unclear, priorities shift without notice, and employees are left to figure things out on their own. It’s difficult to stay motivated when there’s no sense of direction or support from leadership.

The supervisor is negligent & does not maintain contact with his subordinates. Many employees have not spoken to him in at least 6 months, leaving critical guidance, feedback, and support completely absent. This lack of communication creates confusion, delays, and a constant feeling of being overlooked.

Morale is extremely low because staff feel ignored & undervalued. There is no accountability from management, no check-ins on employee progress, and no effort to acknowledge or address concerns. Employees are left to navigate challenges entirely on their own.

Opportunities for growth are virtually nonexistent. Without mentorship, feedback, or leadership involvement, there’s no way to develop skills, advance in your role, or feel recognized for hard work.

Overall, working here feels isolating & unsupported. If you need guidance, recognition, or a team-oriented environment, this is not the place. The lack of leadership and communication makes it nearly impossible to thrive professionally.

Typical Day at Work: In security and access control there is no typical outside of performing the policies and procedures as outlined in your duties.
What I believe I learned: Staff you supervise or manage, need to feel heard, be appreciated and trust there is a supportive and guiding presence as they perform their work duties. That builds respect, harmony, loyalty and a harmonious work environment where staff want to come to work.
Management: At this company is nil, non-existent.  No sense of care, concern or the impact of being dishonest it has on staff who seek out advice, direction and answers to important issues i.e., I worked but didn't get paid. I worked and got paid, but the wrong rate of pay. Former management was present, handled situations, attentive to the needs of staff.
Hardest part of the job: Non compliance and entitled attitudes of the client's community members and guests
Most enjoyable: Working WITH a wonderful team of committed and hard working individuals.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good benefits including competitive hourly wages, paid time off, health insurance and a 401k retirement plan.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Weak management staff. There is no system of disciplining the employees. That's probably because of favoritism practices with certain employees. As a first line supervisor attempting to enforce company policies dealing with substandard employee(s), I inadvertently became the culprit instead. In addition the company seldomly had uniform items available for the guards.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
In the field the guard was given autonomy on the post to perform the required duties in a skillful and professional manner. It appeared that these qualities were overlooked with hiring practices of the company.

At my assigned post, I provided security in a corporate environment. I monitored activities via closed circuit television, assisted vendors, property staff and the general public.
