•	Understand business challenges, problem statements, requirements and existing environments for various clients. 
•	Walkthrough the applications with the help of Subject Matter Experts to know third party components, custom build components, dependencies and technologies. Also identify some end-to-end test scenarios for automation tool evaluation. 
•	Design and implement Keyword driven, tool agnostic and internationalization test automation framework using tools like Quick Test Professional, and Quality Center. Involved in Descriptive Programming using QTP.
•	Handle the tasks of identifying UAT testers and managing resource plan by coordinating with business stakeholders. 
•	CCMS Events creation and field input scenarios
•	Doing a High level Smoke Test & ensure defect free Code. 
•	Mentor the team to use the framework, quality standards, implement the change management system in the automation suites and prepare the user friendly documentation for the scripts. 
•	Perform responsibilities of conducting research on IT requirements and business requirements in UAT areas
•	Develop roadmaps and rollout plans to execute the automation and performance projects for enterprise clients. 
•	Work with Development team, Subject Matter Experts and Testing team in implementing Quality Center Business Process Testing (BPT) across organizations. 
•	Generate automated test data creation using various tools to help Development team, Subject Matter Experts and Testing team for their application testing purpose. 
•	Involve in requirement analysis, designing test plan, identifying test conditions, designing test cases, reviewing test cases and executing test cases.

If you aren't friends with people in positions of power, you can forget about advancement.  This company places more emphasis on friendships than it does on anything else.  Leadership is ignorant of what the workforce experiences, makes rushed/not fully thought-out decisions, and annually executes poorly managed projects.  Other projects can tend to last for years and effectively accomplish nothing, being on calls for 6 hours a week with 42 people is commonplace.  Should you question or make suggestions to improve the efficacy of a project you will be accused of not supporting the project and targeted by leaders as "change resistant".  Senior level leadership positions (VP) may act as though they want to "mentor" you and instead will talk poorly about you behind your back to their peers.  The number one rule at Wellmark is be liked because if you're not liked you will get nowhere no matter what skills you have.  This company pays high enough that you are effectively priced out of the market, so even if your career goes stagnant you will struggle to find work outside the organization.  Leaders say a lot about how valuable people are but continually attempt to find ways to minimize the workforce.  This organization is attempting to remove toxic behaviors from their culture such as "hierarchy" and "perfectionism" but they have a long road ahead of them and employees have been voicing their concerns to leadership for a long time about these issues without getting anywhere.

Productive claim paying active phone conversations and ever changing work procedures as the day progresses.

Alot of research on files to be sure each claim is paid, according to guidelines that you must research each different for individual benefits.

Working in customer service questions answered,documentations on files to keep all records of customers questions and answers.

Changing policies, quoting rates, benefits changing records from addresses to policy benefits. Filing claim to be corrected according to guidelines, or just explaining to customers their benefits, payments on claims and how to do the doctor visits, what is paid and what is not allowed. Fast paced and enjoyable to help a satisfied customer, who was not happy to call in with a problem. That I solved as it my responsibility to make customers happy, satisfied.  

Worked with quality assurance, looking over employees work overseeing the quality and advising of the errors, and how to correct them accordingl. 

Over all a job keeping you satisfied to help people and happy to be there for them with answers and a help when they needed it.

During my 20 years at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, I had the opportunity to grow through several roles, including Claims Examiner III, Testing Specialist, and Senior Operations & Systems Analyst. A typical day involved processing complex claims, researching and resolving Frontier cases, writing and executing test cases for Facets upgrades, and partnering with business and IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and improve workflows.

I learned how to navigate large, highly regulated systems, analyze data, run SQL queries, and support major operational changes. Management was supportive of continuous learning, and I appreciated the collaborative culture across operations, testing, and systems teams.

The hardest part of the job was balancing tight deadlines during system releases while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The most enjoyable part was solving complex problems, improving processes, and helping teams deliver a better experience for members and providers.

Wellmark is an excellent place to work for. My day to day interaction with my groups and customers helping to resolving difficult issues provides me with satisfaction as it helps build and maintain relationships. 
The development that is given starting from the top is amazing. They believe in being the CEO of your career which helps allow you to take yourself to another level in the company. 
My co-workers exhibit great teamwork as we support one another and realize that nothing can be done successfully in our field without teamwork. 
The hardest part of my job is advising my groups and customers that a particular benefit is not covered because sometimes injuries come across where you really want to help the individual and to break their hearts and not being able to assist them in what they really need can also challenging, however; I do try to find other resources that can be beneficial which is what I love. 

The interaction with my groups face to face helping them solve different issues and putting smiles on their faces is what I like most about my job.

I accepted an internship with Wellmark.  When my internship was extended out until after I graduated, a job was created just for me, and I was told on numerous occasions I was promised a job, I relocated my family to Des Moines.  Three days before I graduated, I found out the position which stated as a requirement "Less than 1 year experience"  was going to go to someone else who had 2-3 years experience.  My team "leader" told me they are over-qualified but because they are asking for what Wellmark was going to pay, that's makes them more qualified than me.  I continued to discuss my concerns to no avail.  I set up a meeting with HR to discuss the grievance process but she did not seem to understand anything I was saying and just continued to tell me that an offer was not extended to me and this is their policy.  It is extremely disappointing that a company who puts on such a show to care about their employees could, in all reality, care less about them.   This is nothing more than a money-hungry, misleading, company whom I would say stay clear of!

worked there for 35 years and retired. I always had opportunities for advancement if I wanted to but if I liked what I was doing there was no pressure if I stayed in that position. They also provide learning opportunities from learning spreadsheets to being diverse, there was always a class to learn something in corporate training. 
Wonderful benefits, great time off, working hours were superb. Management was usually pretty good (anyway mine was). Management and Upper management cares deeply about job/work life balance and their employees and always greets and talks with employees. They don't just walk by you and act like you're not there.
Most of my day was spent opening mail and processing correspondence and batching documents to other areas for them to process. I learned so much about computers and office functions. 
All in all it was a really good company to work for. They had rules and you had to follow them but what company doesn't have rules and if they didn't I would have no respect for them!

In my experience at Wellmark the people were the best part. The software was beyond end of life, and unpatchable, so that was difficult, the project work included a lot of bureaucracy which slowed things down quite a bit but still ensured that when they would be redone, they would be done correctly. Management would be difficult to describe because it changed so often. The hardest part about my job was the constant accusations being thrown at our team, made for quite the defensive culture, when in reality we were stuck with a outdated software solution that we didn't design and was not documented, but still needed to support. That is what I believe brought us all together on one common ground. That is why I say the most enjoyable part of the job was being surrounded by a team that tried to work together despite the odds.

A typical day at work,, start at 8:30AM, start up computer, review schedule, answer phones assisting members/providers/agents/brokers/ employers with questions regarding benefits, payments, claims. Calling providers in assisting members regarding services received or being received. Classes and training to improve the work relations in assisting our members and those involved. the customer service field is busy with new employees coming in. Many times I helped to train for customer service which I did enjoy.  The hardest part was just keeping up with the changes in the medical insurance field recently. Management was always working to help the employee to better them selves encouraging to become better educated and building us up.

A typical day at work consist of being on the phones 95% taking inbound/outbound calls about policies, benefits, claims and payment information. The one thing I learned most is not what is given on the phone but how you say it and treat people with respect and kindness.
Management does a great job keeping us informed with the changes that occur almost daily through electronic sources as well as weekly meetings. The hardest part of the job is taking calls back to back with some being very complex in regards to the details needed to be 100% accurate.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that I work with because everybody gets along and if there are differences they are addressed immediately to maintain a unique and diverse culture.
