I am very happy to have signed on with the company; the chief officials of the hospital are lovely people that smile and greet all their staff with warmth when they pass. The nursing staff are friendly and treat each other with consideration and respect, and are all very supportive of one another. There is a bizarre arrogance you'll encounter in a good half of the physical therapists  that I find very abrasive as they seem to think that scheduled medication, wound care and other interventions the patient requires, and the staff providing these measures, is somehow secondary to them if they happen to be around, but no workplace is perfect. Aside from this flaw, there are free breakfasts for the staff on Wednesdays, Free lunch on Fridays (or dinner for the PM shift) and the occasional gift of chocolate, which is demonstrative of the appreciation that the organization has for their staff. There are even high tech Nespresso machines in each staff break room that make everything from hot chocolate to cappuccinos and water coolers (with bottled water) that are a very thoughtful provision for the employees.  I've worked places where they never cared or facilitated you getting a break, so the accommodations are a pleasant and welcome surprise. For the most part everyone gets along well and you feel very supported and very much a part of a team. This organization does have some very strict protocol on how they do things, but that is because the patient's best possible outcome in recovery is of the highest priority. Having seen and been involved in this process many times, I know that I would have the utmost confidence in my own family members being under their care if the need ever arose. I think very highly of Select not only for how they treat their employees, but also for how they treat their patients. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Basically you are told to work but when you do you get in trouble.  Case management are all liars and want other people to say and so their nasty work. Realized these people will love you if you have Medicare.  So for that I Am appalled that I would even work For a place that will kick you out as soon as the patient starts to do better.  Why, Bc the insurance won’t cover it.  It’s gross. Maybe that’s life these days, I want nothing to do with people like this.  Plus they are complete idiots. And forget about kindness!!!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When patients start to get better they get kicked out basically. Unless they have Medicare 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Complete disorder. No communication

Sad mad frustrated and they dont allow you to help extra. Or give ideas, (although they say they want our ideas) it BS

Occupational Therapist
•	Evaluate functional level, living environment and support system of patients in inpatient hospital setting utilizing interdisciplinary communication, chart review, patient and family interview as well as musculoskeletal, sensory, perceptual and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) assessments. 
•	Provide therapy and education to patients and family focused on improving patient independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and identifying and preparing appropriate discharge settings. 
•	Write daily progress notes, weekly plans of care, functional assessments and discharge summaries.
•	Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to enhance and implement patient plan of care.
•	Participate in continuing education modules and courses to develop clinical skills.
•	Suggest and assist in implementation of program development measures

I learned to bridge hospital to home life for the patient and cultural nursing is vital in the Miami-Dade area. This facility provides care for patients in the community as well as the Caribbean. I have learned how rehabilitative services should be through the physical therapy department at West Gables. I loved working there and was sad when I left.

i have been working at WGRH as a per diem therapist for almost 5 years, very professional environment and they consider the per diem staff  part of their TEAM, very professional environment, co workers are very supportive , management is great , easy to contact and great communication with the staff, the company provide Continue education classes to keep professionals up to date.

I had a very positive experience in that place. Good consideration and attention to the employees! They were very considerate and willing to help in any circumstance.

Most day shift nurses will begin by conferring with their colleagues on the night shift. The night staff will update them on any change in patient status since the last day shift, admissions, or other matters they should be aware of. At the start of their shift, nurses will also review assignments and physician notes, and read up on each patient that they have to see to that day.

Some charged nurses or supervisors who they call here are not professional and have some preferences with some employees like they would give the best assignment to some nurses and CNAs and living some nurses with more care. They do not balance those patients with nurses. Sometimes one nurse can have up to 9 patients and it is not safe for the patient at all. 

The company its self is a good company work hear i learning a lot about patient care dietary you can learned a lot you can move around and the company 

Employees truly care about their residents. Good staff interactions. Per word of mouth, residents say best place for rehab. Pay not competitive at all. You are not compensated for the level of work you are loaded down with. Good therapy team. Liked it
