If you enjoy a lot of stress, impossible deadlines, ineffective management that are for the most part unqualified for their positions, very long hours with no OT pay, low wages that are not only below the area & national average but are widely different between employees with the same title in the same work group, then you'll fit right in here. If you have a rare good manager you may have flexibility in work hours and time off. Benefits have remained pretty steady through Covid, but raises are very minimal and there is no chance for advancement. Bonus is available, but negotiate well and understand that bonus is paid based on company performance, not yours. If oil prices are up, performance is down. There are some nice people at this company, but most of the good employees leave within 18 months. Maybe the worst part is the Old Boy's Club atmosphere - straight out of the 1950's, and management is so technologically challenged I doubt they'll ever move into the 21st century. They can't even get out of the 1970's in their attitudes.

The employees they work together to try and get the product out in a timely manner

The upper management they don't appear to humble with their employees some of us that's been working there for year don't get acknowledged for their hard work you get talk to any kind of way 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's a mixture of all people and the culture of Whitmore use to be family people work as a team get the job done 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and uncomfortable because you have a supervisor that barks orders and doesn't listen to staff that's working there longer then he has and upper management doesn't even take out to learn and listen to their employees

The benefits are good and that is about it. Dirty place to work, bad for your health and management doesn't do anything about it. The culture is broken and people do what is best for themselves.You will meet some good people and then some bad ones too. My suggestion stay away from this place even if the money seems good. It is not worth your sanity. By far  the most unorganized place I've ever worked at and management doesn’t give you all the tools you need to succeed.equipment is always down and takes forever to fix and they give you hardly no training at all.The most enjoyable part of the day is clocking out!


Do as I say not as I do management mentality. The working environment is that of a toxic playground with a bully leading all of it. Absolutely zero advancement for an engineer. If you are fresh out of school it is a great place to get some experiencer,  but if you have more than three years of experience, I highly do not recommend. Management and senior management need a complete revamp for this company to be worth it.


Part of the problem here is putting inexperienced people into key roles.  Plant is in panic mode too often.  Plant personnel (compounders in particular) are not trained sufficiently and the skill level is not appreciated.  
Compounders used to sit in on complaint investigations and other meetings.  Now it's all stuffed shirts.
Competent people have been let go.  Customers not happy.

Great family oriented place to work. Shipping and receiving is a major part of this location. They also build things here as well I was given a great opportunity to utilize my technical experience with lubricants, asphalts, and coating. Knowledgeable individuals that offered mentorship. Employees and Co-workers were friendly and created a great place to work. Opportunities were often presented and new ideas were appreciated by management. I felt my work was accepted and my ideas made a difference..

A typical work day consists of receiving a safety briefing and work assignments before every shift. Each individual is responsible for reading their assigned orders and gathering materials necessary to complete their orders. Work environment and quality of management varies greatly between shifts. Training of new employees isn't as good as it should be.

This facility has a lot of good people.  I really enjoyed my time working with everybody for the most part. Lots of benefits after you have reached time with the company. The only downfall is that the company is very disorganized and this ultimately results in double work for anyone in shipping department.

Great Place to work , Management allows you to express your questions. comments and concerns while feeling the sense of belonging while working together to fulfill the larger goals.

I absolutely loved working at Whitmore.  If you don't mind getting dirty and working 12s, it's perfect.  You only work 15 days a month.  Great place to work.
