I have witnessed my boss put a temp on speaker during a morning huddle just to humiliate her for not knowing if she was to turn left or right on her way to the office.
The employee was new to the position and did not know the area. After the humiliation he continue at the huddle asking the staff what would we have done. 
The temp was not aware that she was on speaker at the time. she found her way in only for the boss to continue to humiliate her by stating out loud for the staff to hear all her little mistakes a new employee makes with no training.
After this incident I have decided to put in my 2 week notice at my agency, who in returned notified the boss of my notice. I had to take a day off for a personal matter and he than terminated me.
Which was not surprising. 
When another employee whom he always praised gave her notice he begin to tell the staff negative untruth about her as I'm sure he's now speaking badly of me as he has done every time one has left or has been let go. 
The reason someone has left should not be gossiped about by the person who holds the fate of your career, or your future with the company in his hands.

Management communication is poor within each others department. Tendency to put their work on to other employees (non Management). Pay is extremely low compared to the other hospitals in the area. There is no structure when it comes to patient scheduling, and walk ins. Certain departments never answer the phones. Management will also block you from advancements/ other positions. Parking is horrible the fee is high and "validation" should be free not discounted. Employee parking tickets are only given after 5years with the company and it is still expensive.

Management does not care about any one that they are not friends with.  They put the staff health at rise everyday and they still do not care.  They have safety risk to employees and Management don't care. WILLS eye is a washed up high school cheerleading team when it comes to Management. 

The doctors are amazing. Pay is good , you definitely have room to grow but as far as administration, some mangers, and HR not so much . You have to walk on egg shells at this job.  They do not care about their employees. Very rude and disrespectful. They lack empathy. You will literally get written up for anything! They don’t follow their own policy. They will treat you badly behind closed doors and play victim afterwards. (Some managers are very sweet) but you’re lucky if you have one of them! Don’t ever feel safe to go to HR privately. Nothing is private with them.

I really enjoy employment at wills eye. I highly recommend employment at this company. I have learned a lot and I have career advancement. Although I have previous experience in the field of Patient Service Representative I have still learned more on top of what I already know. No matter how many years you work at a company or how many years experience you have in a particular field there is nothing to much to learn in other words wherever you go you will always learn something new.

The Call center at Wills Eye is severely understaffed. When I started, there were about 7 people and that quickly went down to about 3 or 4. People are allowed to call out whenever they want which leaves the reps stressed with the call volume. The manager will help with calls but the supervisor does not. Of course there is no PTO so if you don’t come in your won’t get paid, which makes it difficulty to have any time off. Job not worth the stress

I ran a department almost singlehandedly after my previous supervisor left for almost 6 months. Never got any guidance and was able to get things done. Not a Thanks You in sight. Then a new supervisor was hired without my input and i was made to feel useless . Every decision was questioned . All norms set by the previous supervisor was questions . I no longer felt that i belonged.
HR is also not helpful in resolving conflicts. 
Pay wasn't where i was comfortable , i loved the job with my old supervisor. 


I was happy before we moved to the new hospital in 1980 at 9th and Walnut sts It was kind of depressing because there were no windows only cubicles..I met a couple of friends who I am no longer in contact with.There were a lot of people who came there for different testing.   I met some sports celeberties and other famous people who were seen at that hospital during my time of employment

I always felt supported by my coworkers and had available overtime every week if I wanted it. However, the schedule is terribly managed. Patients regularly have to wait for hours past their appointment time to see the doctor or have surgery done. Management doesn't seem to care, and the patients will take it out on the front desk staff. 

It sucks because the doctors here are absolutely amazing but management is terrible and will say anything to your face just to get you to shut up and leave them alone. They have absolutely no advancement opportunities and salary is not at all competitive. They really should take a step back and look at themselves. There is a good reason everyone calls Will "the revolving door".
