I enjoy being able to pick and choose when I want to work and at what rates, but sometimes you have to drive pretty far for shift opportunities. Overall, management is genuine and communication is a call/text/email away. They are understanding. However, you are needed at places that are usually terribly short-staffed and therefore the conditions are not the greatest at most facilities. There is something against agency assistants (and other Healthcare professionals) that will follow you wherever you go. People just being snobby or willing to throw you under the bus because you're not "OnE oF ThEM."
Regardless of how well you do your job, how personable, accountable, and compassionate you are you will receive a healthy dose of animosity at every facility you pick up at. That is not Wise's fault, that is the fault of poor management at these facilities, but when you become involved in their drama, or poor leadership, that's when it becomes a you vs. Them problem. 

Overall, if you are headstrong and able to hold your own and go in, fake it til you make it with a greater majority of the employees at these facilities, Wise does pay decent and compensate for long travel times or out-of-town stays. As an aide, you do not accrue vacation time or PTO of any kind but you can choose to simply not schedule for any specified amount of time. In that case, there is an abundance of overtime you could do prior to a trip (if you're willing to go the extra mile.) 

There are also other benefits when it comes to driving, so if you're insured, feel free to ask more questions to management about it upon hire. I think this is a great option for someone who needs flexibility in their lives for family, hobbies, mental health, or other needs even if you're just starting out as an aide.

As an employee, I was never given definitive answers about pay; All office staff has access to personal information such as payroll; After being employed for some time, I was informed that I had to pay for a background check that should have been done prior to my hiring; Requested Corporate # for payroll and was never given the # no matter how many times I asked; Was never given checkstubs and when asked several times, the same person that was to take care of it never did; The office staff is Very inexperienced and uneducated in their positions; Clients are given All responsibility of scheduling the aids and what they can and can't do as aids of the agency, it's almost like being hired to do private duty but being paid by an agency; When notifying company of not being able to go to client's residence, there is No communication with client of replacement or of the call off; They deduct for lunch breaks on 6 hour shifts when it can't be unless it's an 8 hour shift And they are Required to pay for the lunch breaks because you can't leave client's residence or take that lunch period for personal use, instead you have to accommodate the client making it impossible to take a lunch no matter if it's a 6 hour shift Or 15 hour shift; They are not clear with client's as to the care and services allowed by aids that are covered by Medicare/Medicaid for HHA; too many issues to really list everything!

Absolutely no team work done at this place. Strict strict chain of command policy. No open door policy whatsoever. So when you have one of the many incidents this company has you have no one to go to. The one you do choose to go to say your boss perhaps who's not even medically certified instead ofgoing to the ADON who is either way you go you will be repercussioned for it. Don't trust anyone and when I say anyone I literally mean it it's that bad of a drama Circle your business will be around so fast your head will spin. And whatever you do if you're out for a personal reason definitely don't tell your boss you'll either be made fun of or laughed about. They have a select Pick 3 that they have had walked out on them that they have begged and begged them to come back and sweeten the pot so much they're allowed to treat everybody like dirt because they know they're not going anywhere.

I worked for this company a year ago for maybe 6 months or so. I stopped getting updates on open shifts needed and no return emails, texts or calls. I recently started back up ready to get it another try and it is the same problem. I don’t even want to call because of the annoyance of the issue. How can this place have employees if they don’t contact them on a regular basis. The way they have scheduling set up is horrible. If I was able to go to facilities and talk to the scheduler there it wouldn’t be too much of an issue because I’d just schedule myself but the problem is getting through the door to talk to them. THERE IS AN ISSUE. I’m so frustrated I’m trying to actually figure out who to complain to that actually cares because it is there business losing money.

Everyone is so helpful and nice and they allow me to take care of my long term girlfriend who's disabled 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only stressful thing is when my girlfriend scares me by being out of it when her sugar gets to high. It worries me to see her like that 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and helpful everyone has a job to do and they work like a well oil machine.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I get up and help my girlfriend up and get her coffee and breakfast then start cleaning up the breakfast dishes and clean up the kitchen and then go in the bedroom take the sheets and covers off the beds get them in the laundry clean bathroom and then I help her into the shower get her bathed and dressed and take her where she needs to go

The Chillicothe, Ohio office per diem facility work office was good. I was always paid on time and if there was ever a issue at a facility it was addressed. The pay for the travel I felt like should have been more. The Delaware, Ohio office was horrible. Nice and personable, but that means nothing when you don't pay me.  I picked up a call off shift for home health care. I showed up and did my job as a fill in. I never was compensated. They told me it was direct deposited. I told them no, I reached out to a few people and it was the same story. Offered my bank statements and no one cared Rather than reimbursing me they just lied. I let it go and vowed to never work for them again! It was a great disappointment and so unreal.

I’ve just recently started working at Wise Medical Staffing (started at the end of March), but so far, I couldn’t ask for a better company to work for. Being that WMS is agency, the pay just depends on where you’re working at the time. I am currently assigned to Woodlands Retirement Community & love it for the most part. Every place pays a different amount per hour & has different benefits but Wise does not offer any medical/dental benefits. So far I don’t have any major complaints. The whole experience has all been a wonderful experience. I love working for Wise & am extremely happy with my decision to leave my other employer & seek employment with them. I recommend it to anyone looking for CNA, LPN or RN work. 

Certain clients would expect way to much from you in fields you weren't trained on. Management was very understanding. Facility work was slow paced and boring. After six months with one clients family my doctor put me on anxiety and depression meds. certain families were very manipulative. Often I was asked to do things like mow, clean a dirty black mold infested room. I was even expected to accompany clients to appointments out of my home state. At one point I was grilled about smoking cigarettes, and told I needed to go  to rehab for it or wanting to take a 15 minute break. I was never granted true breaks. I would be permitted to go outside but not leave the property.

I love them.I have never regretted my decision to be employed by them.They truly care about you as a person ,Your needs,and will do there very best to keep you with work wherever you want to work .It's kinda like having a career coach on your side working for you to serve your employment needs.The pay is amazing and honestly so are they.They are available like seriously all hours of the night just to accommodate your needs.Its amazing.Sorta like a dream come true for medical workers I love them.So if your looking for work with amazing pay and awesome career coaches .I totally recommend them !!!They truly the best people I have ever worked for and with!!

A typical day at work isn't anything new. 
Management isn't very great. I've had many bad experiences that were not taken care of right away. It took about 4 months for them to work on things. 
I don't like that you have to work by yourself. You meet none of your employees so its gets kinda lonely and boring. My last home health job, you got to work with some of the employees and got to work with them.
They don't offer Maternity leave or have any benefits. They don't pay for gas mileage, but wants you to travel to far places.
