Micromanagement is excessive. Supervisors speak to employees like a scolding middle schooler teacher. Rather than actually managing, the managers monitor employees’ work- including tracking idle time on computers. 

There’s a lack of clear direction and leadership from management. Managers relying solely on reports which are outdated. 

Favoritism is a real problem. Promotions are based on personal relationships rather than performance. The owning attorney demeans and berates staff members, often throwing tantrums. 

The workplace is built on fear and aggression, making the environment stressful and unpleasant. 

High turnover rates are a constant The firm fires and hires like a revolving door. This might be linked to inadequate training and support. Many feel overwhelmed and unprepared for our roles.

This company is run through fear and intimidation rather than structure or leadership. There is no clear guidance, yet employees are constantly told they are doing everything wrong after the fact. Communication is extremely poor, expectations and rules change without warning, and micromanagement is intense to the point of feeling constantly watched. Leadership allows disrespectful treatment of lower level employees, and blame is routinely pushed downward to protect those in power. Turnover is extremely high, with people quitting or being fired regularly, often followed by attempts to quietly smooth things over. Overall, it is a toxic, unstable work environment with no accountability at the top. I would not recommend working here. -1/10. RUN

Professional environment! As an employee, you will be expected to work hard and get your job done... But you are greatly rewarded for your hard work! Overall, it's an amazing place to work. 

This firm has suffered from overexpansion in the last few years and has not been able to effectively keep up with the growth. A recent change in upper management has shifted the culture and morale among employees, causing poor employee engagement and high turnover. 

They will preach "People First" all day long, only to turn around and suspend or fire employees for things beyond their control. In addition, the owner is unpredictable and unprofessional in her communications. If you so much as send her a report in a format she doesn't like, you will be berated and belittled.

The only perks are good benefits, 401k matching, and occasional catered lunches.

You get have a drink on the job on Friday! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
On the training is not taught well!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s a younger generation trying to be the boss , and to much gossip and running employees off from their job work place.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and upper management dont know what they doing and expect you know what haven’t been trained on how to do the job.

Choosing to work for Witherite in 2019 was the best job choice ever! We have great benefits, leadership, and training. I recommend working here 100%. We have awesome incentives, bonuses, and go to State Fair yearly. It is one big happy family.

This is a great place to work. Literally the best company that I have ever worked for. I like the work that we do here for our clients. We really work hard to take care of our clients like family. The work we do is so rewarding, and employees also get great opportunities to do community service work outside of the office. You never know what day you will come to work and they will have catered lunch, or give the employees $100 gas cards. This place has a great tuition reimbursement plan, and the company supports employees and their goals, whether in the workplace or in life in general. 

Overall this company focuses on its values of people first, integrity always, and expertise matters. They work with their employees to improve where they can and often take a mistake and make it into a learning opportunity rather than demean you for it. If you learn fast and like a challenge it is great! High workload but jobs are a lot more focused on certain tasks in a file, rather than having to do everything by yourself. 

This firm has great benefits but it comes at a price that is not worth it. They really need to hire more people to balance the work load there. Employees should not have to worry about taking vacation or stress in the middle of the right over work.  Nothing wrong with change but man there are changes being made weekly that eventually get annoying.  

I started working at Witherite Law Group in August 2020. From my first day of training, I noticed that the department leaders and executives are dedicated to creating a flexible and supportive environment in which employees can and do thrive. New ideas and innovation are welcomed, and the necessary resources are provided to see them to fruition. 

Leaders also show appreciation for employees at every level, and communication is always friendly and respectful.
