As an admissions rep at wyotech you're basically a telemarketer....they expect you to make an insane amount of calls each day. Sitting on my butt for 9 hours a day is NOT what I signed up for. Which leads me to the next complaint...THE HOURS were terrible. Every other department (financial aid, career services) has normal, 8-4 or 7:30-4 hours. NOT ADMISSIONS!!! There's some days you wont even see sunlight bc you work 8am-8pm!

Little to no room for advancement plus you get angry people yelling at you for calling them. I don't really like an environment where I get yelled at for simply doing my job. And when there's nothing to do, there's NOTHING to do.

Management is ehhhhh...wyotech was bought out by a new company a few months ago and things are still adjusting. Coworkers were pretty nice, I will say that.

There are what are called "field reps" and theyre essentially admissions reps who drive around to students homes to meet with them and their parents. Field reps sign these kids up for campus tours and NEVER are able to tour them themselves. This leaves campus reps to tour students that are NOT theirs, and campus reps have to take 2 hours out of the day to do so. Completely unfair! This is the main reason I quit.

I really enjoyed my time at WyoTech. As a matter of fact I miss being a part of that team. A typical day for me would have been waking up no later than 4 am. Be on the road to visit a high school to give presentations. After about 6-8 hours in a school I would then have in home visits with student(s) and enroll them for one of WyoTech's fantastic programs. I spent most of my day on the road in different places with this job. The management team that I worked for was incredible. The most difficult part of the job was making sure I balanced work and home life. The most enjoyable part was signing a student up to go to school for something they are passionate for. I can't think of a better reward.

A typical day was about nine and half hours usually did classroom instruction and lectures in the mornings.  Afternoons were spent with the students in the lab where they performed hands on assignments under my close supervision and instruction.  Management mostly stayed out of the day to day operations and the co-workers were stellar, always willing to help in any way they could.  The hardest part of the job was always the discipline of the students, we had to run a pretty tight ship and some of these students were just out of high school and needed extra discipline.  The most enjoyable part of the job was personal satisfaction.

There was plenty of advancement if they were to stay open.  Started the day by checking for students that needed to see management.   Open and teach a class that was assigned to lead.  Complete class and shop grades and attendance for the class each day.  After six week class finish and post final grades.  The coworkers was about the best second family any of us could have.  Hardest part of the job was waiting for the corporation to finally decide to close the doors.  The most enjoyment was seeing the students eyes light up when they finally understand what the lecture was about.

Enjoyed going to my job everyday and diving right into what I needed to get completed.  I learned attention to detail and more about what leadership means.  My co-workers were like family to me and we all came together to work as a team when needed.  The hardest part of my job was juggling so many projects at one time, though still completing the tasks.  The most enjoyable was working with my co-workers and the students.

I worked with over 150 graduates/students. I was responsible for their employment and a run rate of 1.5 graduates placed in the field per week. 

A typical day generally started with getting work orders from our employers looking for candidates to hire. I would assist and see if I had any qualified candidates in my cohort. Preform prep for employer if needed.   

This was a school. A typical day was learning about automotive technology. I learned basic knowledge of cars and engine theory. My instructors most were helpful and understanding in my want to learn all I could. Fellow students some were helpful others not so much. The hardest part wanting to learn all I could and being cut down by others students because I ask questions in class. The most enjoyable part was seeing a state I had not traveled to before.

A typical day at work would be, checking in/out tools to students and instructors. Additionally repairing HVAC recovery equipment. 

Learned more about the variety of HVAC equipment, including system components such as; Low/High Pressure cut out/in switches, High Limits, TEV/TXV and much more.

The most enjoyable part of the job is learning about all the tools, and system components independently and as well during operations.

Great company to work for but bad management. The training there is not that good, your send in not knowing the products or what to do. One has to learn by them self's and pick up the pace, if your slow your not going anywhere. But benefits are great (for management that is not part timers) and one can advance fast to a assistant manager but that where you'll be for a long long time till they fire a store manager.

I enjoy the weather in Laramie Wyoming because in Southern California there is no snow and I do better in a cool environment. This job is as a full time student and I enjoyed all my classmates. The hardest part of my job going back to school and getting into the swing of studying after my part time job after school to pay for my tuition.
