A typical day at work of course every shift is slightly different . But this is in reference to 7 to3 . Patients are checked once shift starts make sure they are ok. Vitals performed. Linen cart refreshed, Hydration cart cleaned and refreshed. Breakfast and lunch provided feeding is done with care and patience with need to hydrate after two to three spoons. Patients are given bed bath or shower. Several personal care are administered. 
I have learned several things new techniques constant training by therapy and in service by management whenever deem necessary I am always leaning.As it relates to the culture there is so much love in the air. We are here to help and most people here are so kind and loving and that culture in a work place I think is amazing. For me the hardest part of the job is losing a patient I cared for over a period of months of months whether by death or leaving the facility to go home. I miss them and a place  is always in my heart for them. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is when I am able to interact with the family members of our patient , and they know and feel it. That we love our patients and we treat them like if they were our own dad, mom or grand parents. Our patients are apart of us and we truly care. So yes that feeling when the family member and patient know without a question of a doubt that we care. That intuitive feeling. That is the most rewarding feeling and enjoyable that coincide with the jokes we share together.

Working at a skilled nursing facility as a Director of Rehabilitation is both fast-paced and rewarding. A typical day involves balancing patient care, supporting the therapy team, handling documentation, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff, and making sure patients receive quality care. I’ve learned a great deal about leadership, communication, adaptability, and the importance of teamwork in healthcare. Management is most effective when leaders are supportive, approachable, and willing to lead by example. The workplace culture is team-oriented and centered around patient outcomes, which creates a meaningful environment to work in. The hardest part of the job is balancing the many responsibilities that come with healthcare while maintaining high standards of care. The most enjoyable part is seeing patients make progress, regain independence, and knowing the work truly impacts people’s lives in a positive way.

My experience at YAD Healthcare has been truly rewarding. A typical day involves providing dedicated care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. In this role, I've had the opportunity to learn continuously, both professionally and personally.

The management team here is supportive and approachable, always ready to provide guidance and assistance when needed. The workplace culture is one of compassion and teamwork, with colleagues who genuinely care about each other and our residents.

The most challenging aspect of the job is managing a demanding workload, but the sense of fulfillment in helping our residents makes it all worthwhile. The most enjoyable part of my job is witnessing the positive impact we have on the lives of those we care for – it's incredibly heartwarming.

Drama, especially between different shifts is a major shortcoming of this location and arguably the worst aspect of the job. Working directly with the patients is the best part of the job, especially when you can see residents improve over time. The therapy department is great to work with in that regard, they truly do value your input as a caretaker. The facility itself is severely understaffed with supervisors frequently having to balance working on the med carts and manage their supervisory role, oftentimes staying far beyond their scheduled hours. The floor nurses are overall decent to work with; some may seem abrasive at first but they truly are good people when you get to know them. In your role as a CNA, however, you will be subject to nothing but drama and incompetent coworkers. I do not  reccomend this facility with its current management.

YAD Healthcare is truly a different company.  The culture is excellent, from the care and compassion shown to the residents, to the emphasis on employee satisfaction and personal growth.  YAD fosters a calm and enjoyable work experience for the staff members caring for older adults.  

The support and interactions with the corporate staff are positive and affirming, and everyone works together to accomplish the mission and goals for the residents, families and staff.  From the top of the company down, the support and management staff lives their values fully. 

The focus on the employee's welfare and happiness is very rewarding.  Many of my prior employers stated that they valued their staff.  YAD follows through and shows it!

The role comes with challenges, as expected in healthcare, but I’ve always felt equipped and supported in facing them.

I recently retired after 10 years in this building. We have a lot of staff with significant longevity. That comes from feeling "human"...really caring about our residents and each other. Staff still calls and text me to keep up with what I am doing. When I come in the building, residents holler with glee as they are coming towards me to give me a hug. The work is the same no matter what LTC facility you choose to work. It's the people that make the difference. Now you know why I stayed on PRN. I just couldn't sever all ties. I love the people...residents and staff!!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The residents were by far the best part of working there. However, the management was less than ideal. They tow the company line without regard for the short staffing and unsafe nurse to patient ratios.

Short staffing and unsafe nurse/patient ratios. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Low employee morale, too many missed breaks, too much blaming, and a feeling of working for the money not because of the love of nursing and compassion.

Working over scheduled hours because the workload is too much.

I have been working in healthcare for over 25 years. Coming to work for this company was the best decision I ever made. The company places employee satisfaction as a priority. The teamwork (from the facility all the way to the top) is exceptional and everyone here is hardworking, dedicated and supportive in every way to ensure our residents receive the best quality of care they need and deserve.

Rockwell Rehab has serious leadership issues that are creating a toxic and unstable work environment. Staff morale is at an all-time low due to sudden and seemingly unjustified terminations. The high turnover rate is affecting the quality of care residents receive, which should be a top priority.

There is also a growing concern about professionalism in management. Employees have noticed personal relationships influencing decision-making, which raises questions about fairness and workplace ethics. When leadership is more focused on internal politics than on running the facility properly, both staff and residents suffer.
