Owner has become greedy. We used to never work on weekends, then it moved to once every month or so. Now, it's usually 3 weekends in a row where people have to work. Ever since they started with swing shift production, work and home life balance has become severely skewed; now it's even worse with more lines running at the same time. Management never convereses with the lift drivers for input on what lines to run or not to run at the same time, leaving the driver's overwhelmed with multiple fast-moving lines and bombarded with demands for item after item. We are constantly understaffed, underappreciated, overworked, and underpaid. It's a decent-ish job for a little while until you start seeing all the favoritism and imbalance within the workplace. On top of all of this, there is a ridiculous amount of high school-levels of juvenile drama. I've been here for a year and a half, and I am now more than ready to move on and get out of here. 

Every department is VERY understaffed. Due to high turn over rate. Best i could describe is every person for themselves. Pay is not what is told during interviews. When asking around most supervisors are making around $15-$16 still even some who have worked there 5+ years. With evals never being on time. Safety is also a HUGE issue from people getting hit with forklifts or falling/tripping due to poor equipment designs. Needed tools and equipment are always getting stolen or broken everything basically only gets replaced when import individuals are going to be onsite. Very few good Managers. Most hide upstairs and only show faces when they’re absolutely needed but even at that they disappear back to their offices almost as fast as the new hires quit. If you are looking for a job while in college id say apply cause you can get away with missing multiple days due to HR not wanting to let people go. 

Owners are good people but are taking on more work then having the actual man power for. Company states they are expanding but nothings changed over the 1 year Ive worked here

Fast paced and can be demanding, most teams and team leaders (operators) are very easy to get along with and work with. Overall pay is not that great unless you are an operator and you definitely have to bug and bug to get a raise. It is at times like being in high school. One of the supervisors is a very drama based person and drama oozes out with every step. If this supervisor doesn't like you then your work life will become miserable and you will become that supervisors focal point. If you are quiet and dont get in the way of or part of the drama then you will likely enjoy your day to day job. The drama can be entertaining to watch but I have seen it interfere with the overall production. My advise to job seekers is, if you avoid the drama (almost impossible) then you should be fine and you will likely enjoy your job.

When I worked there you worked till everything was packaged, meaning you could be working anywhere between 8 to 14+ hours in one day. One supervisor always wanted to get in your business. Very lack of communication within management. Felt very underappreciated with little to no praise. Although I didn't speak Spanish (there were a lot of Spanish speaking women), communication was hard but my co workers were the best part there. Sure you had some drama queens and those that talk about you behind your back, but there were still really good people that cared about you. 

It's cold but what I did was stacking 30 pound plus boxes on a pallet that can be pretty high sometimes and its pretty fast paced and having to do paperwork at the same time. They were pretty strict on wearing hairnets, beardnets, earplugs, and hardhats. The co workers were pretty friendly and made the job a little easier to be at. The hardest part was keeping up while having to do all your work. The most enjoyable part was working with other people. The pay really wasn't worth it though for how hard I worked for them and they never gave me a raise even though I was told I would get one.

Great company to work for. Your schedule is set,(other than production dept.) but may also come in a Saturday here and there. Being Bilingual will help you out in a major way. Promotion within company available. As long as you get your stuff done, don’t cause any problems, and show up on time to work the sky is the limit in this company. Oh and hard work does pay off not like other jobs. 

Zoroco is a fast-paced, growing company.  I work at the frozen plant.  My supervisor is supportive and fair, but you will be expected to work.  The managers are helpful in solving problems.  Communication can sometimes be a challenge because some employees prefer to speak spanish, but there are several bi-lingual folks on my shift.  The owners are very friendly and throw company parties.

Zoroco Packaging has been around for 10 years and continues to grow year over year.  The owners of the company are highly involved in the day to day operation of the business and deeply care about the success of the company and the employees who work here. Both ownership and upper management encourage conflict resolution and are easy to talk to.   There are great opportunities to grow with this company.

This work can be challenging and stressful but has tremendous knowledge-building opportunities for employees. Everyone is geared towards being successful and the culture is always changing for the better.
