What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Log in and stay ready to receive calls and tickets for 5 hours, only get paid for 1 hour. As the calls you got were about less than a hand full and totaled to only 45 minutes plus the 15 minutes you spent on the 2-3 tickets that came in.

The work isn’t hard. I was working as a network admin until my previous employer required us all to go back to full time in-office. The pay is above average with itsc considering I spend most of my time doing level I/II work, which I find easy. I think most people working for this company will agree that the flexibility of being at home is the biggest upside.

I don’t love the slow days. You’re just not going to get the same call volume late on a Friday afternoon like you do Monday at 9am. I try to get in most my billable time in early in the week so I can take it easy later on. That said, there’s always some issue to grab and work on, but if you sit there and take a few minutes trying to read and understand the request, by the time you decide you want to work it, someone probably scooped it up lol


I have been here for 10+ years and seen many changes.  While nothing is perfect I can say theITSupportCenter is pretty close for both Employees and Customers.  The "Golden Rule" here is simple - Make the Customer Happy and that sets the tone of the company.  Employees that succeed at the Golden Rule have done really well (promotion, satisfaction, career) and I'm proud to say I'm one of them.  I started right out of college, bought a house, car, got married and had our first child.  This company is a good career move for me.

Honestly, I was expecting this job to be cake... I have a solid background in IT, and I thought this job would let me hop on and off whenever I wanted, to earn a little extra cash. I found out quickly that you have to be online working to get paid. If this was my only job, and I could be online for a full workday, it might have worked out. I couldn’t do that at this stage in my life. Left on good terms. Would consider going back if my situation changes.

So I've been here 4 years and will be here at least another 4 years.  Really positive on the place for three reasons.  ONE - they promote from within, which I respect, TWO - my salary is way higher than my friends in other companies doing tech support, THREE - I like the folks I work with.  While I put the people third on my list it is actually most important to me.  If I wont the lottery I wouldn't return to work BUT I would stay friends with everyone I work with - that tells you lots about the company. Good people to work with!!

The company was very straightforward with expectations and the compensation model. Took me a little while to get comfortable and hit the numbers I needed to get to. Learned a lot. Management and other techs are patient and helpful Recommend to anyone looking for remote tech support work. Didn’t like waiting 4 months before all my benefits kicked in. I want PTO the minute I walk through the door! But I understand why it’s structured that way. It wouldn’t make much sense for the company to pay you your bonus and all immediately turn on all your benefits when you’re working remote. Had to prove myself a little.

As a Senior Certified Tech Advisor I can tell you our company takes this job very seriously.  It took me 5 years of training/learning/delivering support to 100+ Corporate and 40+ Government accounts before I was given a team to lead.  The company values its techs and it shows in tenure and knowledge.  While folks complain about the food in the cafeteria and the traffic during prime time rush hour, the reality is this company has great service, never had a downsizing and the marketing folks keep landing new accounts.  I have no complaints.....I love it here.

I never worked for a company that cared so much about their people before.  They put more time into making they hire the right people than any company I worked for before.  That does result in not hiring some potentially good people but everyone on my team cared deeply about doing a great (I mean really great) job each day. It sets a high bar as I don't like to let down the people I work with (especially now that many have become my friends).  If you want a long term company, we are the one to join.

I'm in the operations department providing support to our Customers.  I learn something new every day about IT, People or our systems.  Management is supportive most of the time.  Everyone here is very open with our success and any mistakes we make - which I like.  We are human, we mostly do the right thing but occasionally we make mistakes which is human.  The hardest part of the job is always being "on" - solving problems.  There isn't much coasting here - but that is good for me as otherwise I would get bored.

Yep, after 20 years in the IT industry I can tell you theITSupportCenter has it figured out.  The comp is good, the hours are flexible and management is fully engaged.  With over 750 people here I'm not saying everyone is my best friend (actually my best friend is here) but I know there are always others I can depend on (as I have) to help me professionally and my new Support Team Manager ("STM") has my back - which is really important.  This is where I should have started my career but really glad I found my way here.
