Heavy Industrial - Fabrication Associate – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Machine Operator / Fabrication Associate to join a fast-paced pipe fabrication and manufacturing environment in Groveport, OH.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity currently expected to run through June 11, 2027, with potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
This position is ideal for someone with recent experience in machine operation, manufacturing, mechanical work, or automotive environments who is comfortable working with industrial equipment, measurements, and material handling.
Candidates with backgrounds in automotive mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive production lines, diesel equipment, or farm equipment are also encouraged to apply.
Work Environment: This is a non-climate-controlled facility and can become very hot during warmer months.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery used for pipe fabrication and manufacturing.
- Set up and maintain fabrication equipment.
- Measure and cut pipe using band saws, torches, and other equipment.
- Thread and bevel pipe using fabrication machinery.
- Use tape measures and gauges to ensure accurate measurements and quality.
- Move loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard.
- Assemble pipe orders and maintain organized materials and work supplies.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
- Inspect equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Accurately measure and record pipe lengths.
- Support general fabrication and material-handling activities.
- Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- At least 6–8 months of recent machine operation, manufacturing, or hands-on mechanical experience.
- Experience working with machinery such as band saws, pipe threaders, roll groove machines, plasma cutting equipment, automatic welding machines, pneumatic banders, or similar industrial equipment.
- At least 3–6 months of forklift experience.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Ability to use gauges for quality checks.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and operate different types of equipment.
Preferred: Previous experience with fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch
Overtime: Some overtime may be required, including occasional Saturdays.
Compensation
$19.00–$20.00 per hour
