Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Line Cook to join our AWESOME team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of scratch-made sandwiches and other dishes. We are a small family business with a very hands-on ownership team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
- Support meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed.
- Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a kitchen is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments, including restaurant or kitchen experience.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Compensation - $15 starting for line cook + tip pooling. Tips are $5+ per hour. Opportunity for raises quickly if you excel in our kitchen.
