Full Job Description

Jupiter Granite Co is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join and work alongside our current team. You will play a crucial role in producing precision countertop components from natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and ultra-compact slabs.

Key Responsibilities

Dual-Technology Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate the Breton NC 300's and/or our Combicut.
Programming & DXF Integration: Import and manipulate digital template files (DXF/DWG) using Breton software or compatible CAM systems. Efficiently nest countertop pieces on digital slab photos to maximize yield, match vein patterns, and avoid natural slab defects.
Material Handling: Safely load and unload heavy slabs onto the machine bed utilizing vacuum lifters, jib cranes, or forklifts.
Precision Quality Control: Read and interpret detailed shop drawings, seam layouts, and edge profiles. Utilize calipers and tape measures to inspect finished pieces and maintain strict tolerance levels (within 1mm).
Tooling & Maintenance: Monitor garnet abrasive levels and water pressure systems. Change and maintain tooling such as saw blades, waterjet nozzles, and mixing chambers. Perform daily maintenance routines including cleaning the machine bed and checking lubrication levels.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical, software, or cutting errors to minimize downtime, reporting complex issues to management.
Workspace Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA guidelines regarding dust suppression, eye and ear protection, and wet-environment safety.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with digital templaters, sawyers, and hand finishers to ensure an efficient workflow from slab selection to final detailing.

Qualifications

Proven, hands-on experience operating Breton CNC machinery in a custom countertop fabrication environment.
Strong understanding of CNC machine operations, CAD/CAM software, and blueprint reading.
Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine machine upkeep and troubleshoot minor issues.
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $2,000.00 per week
